This song is so relevant for most of us now. Solitude, loneliness, despair...the side effects of a love lost..the pangs sit with you as you sip that drink in muted lights....as the world moves on around you. But....I don't mind that .....every love lost is a great lesson learnt

When Tony Brent toured India I was a mere seventeen year old and I was fortunate to dance with Tony at the Bowring Institute in Bangalore. The friends I was with knew Tony well. Tony had a beautiful voice quite a dancer and charmer with the ladies. Listening to him again brings back memories of a wonderful era.
I am originally from Sri Lanka & did listen to this song on Radio Ceylon. Yes, we did have a very good choice of English music growing up there. Now I am domiciled in the UK over 20 yrs. but thanks to UA-cam, I was able to listen to Tony Brent.
Great to hear from you. What a small world! It’s my 51st year here in the U.K. What can I say, you have good taste in music. Check my channel for more local stuff as well as some great oldies . Cheers.

Thank you Dave for putting this lovely song on UA-cam.I was born in Calcutta and my Mother always played Tony and another favourite of hers were the Platters.. Radio Ceylon was a very popular Station to listen to in the 50 and 60's and we would listen to Radio Ceylon from Lucknow when my Father worked there for a while. I tried to get a copy from I Tunes but it was not available but they did have a copy of Dark Moon which I purchased. Take care ... Dave from Australia.
I loved to hear Tony on Radio Ceylon as I lived there at the time.MAGIC .In contrast today one cannot HEAR the WORDS of songs. No Radio Ceylon and no Tony so am very thankful for UA-cam.
Oh yes, I too was an avid Radio Ceylon listener. I used to write to them to play my favorite songs. I too was in Calcutta in the 70s. I worked for the British Paints. I had a bosom pal named Gordon Connolly who moved to Australia
Thanks dudes. I won't tell you how old i am. but I was three years old, and i was watching my dad get ready for an evening and he was singing this song. That was the last time i heard it.
