- Mikhail Botvinnik is one of the most influential figures in the history of chess. In this video we take a look at how he first made his name known, while discussing his concept of "attacking zones" and how he would use this idea in his work with chess artificial intelligence. His opponent in this game is none other than José Raul Capablanca, who I have also done a video on which you can find here:

I’m saving this one for later, only 5 pm. You know how people say save the best for last, this is exactly what I’m doing
Same, I’m always fighting the temptation to watch these in the middle of the day
Historical chess matches and ASMR. It doesn't get any better than that! What a beautiful game this was!

Just noticed the Knights are pointing at their respective rivals King at the begginig of the game, love the little touches and that it was already mentioned on another video, will always look for these aggressive Knights 👀
Carlson has his knights looking sideways
out of topic but Good:AM is top tier.
Mac is my fave :) r.i.p king
“A holy hell moment” he’s an ANARCHY CHESSER
who isn't

I love these videos so much because it’s clear you put a lot of thought into them...I love the seamless blend between historical background of not only the players and context of the game, but the specific moves and concepts as well. Combined with your relaxing delivery and pace, you’ve become one of if not my favorite ASMR channels on youtube. Thanks for all your hard work.😁
This channel is probably the most frustrating one of UA-cam, it's both so relaxing and interesting, you're stuck between the following of the game and the fact that this guy is so calm you know you'll be sleeping by the end of the video.
Still a incredible channel though
I like the fact that while watching these situations i find all the best moves and when i play a game i botez gambit in the midgame
Love these historical matches with your analysis, as well as chess historical knowledge. Thanks for the uploads, you’re awesome friend.
sees new asmr chess video. INSTA CLICK
I have fallen in love with Botvinnik since I saw his games against Tal in the world chess championship match.
Thanks so much for making video about Botvinnik's game. 🙏🏻
I love the "AChessMR" intro, it kinda sets the mood for me to relax and when I hear it. I just instantly relax please keep that in the videos!
I was just thinking to myself the other day that it had felt like a while since you posted a video. What a timely gift!
I love these historical match videos and the way you say Capablanca is a trigger word in itself. Soo many tingles!
Chess and ASMR, a match made in heaven
You help me in ways you don’t even know, man. Thank you.
Ayyy right on time for my early night tonight! Love this style of video with the split screen 💕
was just watching old videos when this showed up. the game analysis videos are just so interesting and so tingly.
First!
Hit the gym listening to this feels so good mate
10:29 wait a damn minute there buster
XD
Was searching for this comment 😂
En passant… Wow. I’m in chess club and no one has ever used that move before. Thanks that’s so awesome!!
Wonderful
I just watched ur capablanca vid yesterday night and fell asleep and today you post more capablanca ...time to sleep again😴😴😪
If you want to go ahead and change your channel name to A-Chess-MR, we're here for it 😁
Just in time for finals 🙏🏼You are the absolute best
I have an exam tomorrow and I can’t sleep, this couldn’t have come at a more perfect time! Thank you! ❤️
Very nice video. By the way I really enjoyed the video with a background fireplace and crackling noises, could you do another one like that?
29:19 At this point Black Queen could go G6 check. In this position White Queen must capture. So White Queen takes Black Queen on G6, pawn take White Queen on G6, White King takes black pawn on G6 then Black King can go F7 attacking the passed white pawn. If it goes to F8 - becomes queen - Black King takes White Queen on F8. After this Black has a knight advantage and has escaped the deadly checkmate.
Am I missing something here? If I am correct Capablanca should have seen this.
After writing this down I realized if White King is on G6 then Black King can't go F7. Too bad. 😁
Yes, I love it. I play chess for like 2-3 months and your videos are just perfect to fall asleep and to learn something about chess. Please keep on going🙏🏽 It’s great😁😍
I have never once been more baffled by another's intelligence and yet completely enthralled and relaxed at the same time, well done to you sir.
No words to describe how amazing this channel..... Then the rain.... I envy you I wish i lived in Denmark
Yesss finally I’ve been waiting for so long and when your going to do a mikhail tal one of the greatest attackers of chess y love your videos
Don’t be late again 😭
This one is exceptional. I get excited when you sound very lazy at the start because I know it's dialed in lol. Super quick tingles.
Totally hooked on your channel, love it! AChessMR.......
When black played d5 couldn’t the queen check him and take the bishop for free or am I not seeing something
I love the way you pronounce the name „capablanca“, its so satisfying for some reason xD
Relatively new to chess and this is quickly becoming one of my favourite channels on youtube, thanks for your evident hard work.
Much appreciated!
Didn't deep blue play a similar move to Bishop to B2?
why didn’t he play knight to C5 when the bishop attacked the queen
My fav startegy is no stategy at all
If you don't know what are you doing than the enemy as well
Thanks man, I love what you do.
Solid vid, but a little overboard with the finger taps
At 10:28 I won't lie I thought he said something else
Im trying to sleep but this game is just too damn interesting
Great game. Where can I find this exact chess set
That bishop move was great!
really great vid more like this pls
nice asmr :) in my opinion e4>d4
Plz no talking!! Good video 👍
yeees he uploaded time to go to sleep
lovely stuff
I won't fall asleep like this
bro do u know about whisper?
The way you shock the pieces when there's a capture does 30% of the video 😍
You can hear him swallow
You're back! 😊🎉
If you took over the world and became benign dictator I wouldn't complain
But I thought you loved a whine
Love your commentary style - and the two simultaneous boards - thank you!
Huh apparently Botvinnik was born on August 17th, which is also my birthday.
maybe you will also become a great chessplayer then!
Bobby Fischer would single handedly dismantle and dominate the Soviet Union.
yes when he came the picture suddenly changed. When he refused to defend his title against Karpov the Soviets took over the chess world again though. Then it wasn't until Anand beat Kramnik for the title in 2008 that it was someone from outside USSR or later Russia that held the world championship.
Amazing video!
Watching the other videos where you’ve featured Capablanca’s great performances makes this absolute positional dismantling from Botvinnik all the more remarkable. This is one of my favorite videos to rewatch.
wait correct me if i am wrong but Capablanca could have won the game if he moved queen g 6 after Botvinnik move king h 5 this would have forced a queen trade then Capablanca is up a knight 29:16
No it doesn't work but I should have explained that. Queen to g6+, queen takes queen, pawn takes queen, king takes pawn. Now you cannot stop the pawn from becoming a queen because white's king defends f7 and the pawn defends f8.

more often please
Great video!
I really enjoy your videos. They are just perfect, just keep up the AMAZING Work.
Greetings from México.
Just awesome!

Holy hell
Wait who won
I love your videos. I love your asmr. beautiful chess board. beautiful way of speaking.
He's back!
I'm a 650 rated begginner and I somehow saw that move instantly. Why can't I see good moves consistently lol
Really nice
HE'S BACK
J'attends le com de Sard
Oh hell yeah
Some Mikhail Tal's games should be pretty nice to watch in this channel
I don't typically like ASMR but I love your videos and your chess overviews specifically, something about your videos are just amazing, thank you for uploading :)
Glad you enjoy it!
I just love this game and keep coming back to it to learn new things but I rarely ever stay awake until the end ^_^ both instructive and relaxing and i love it xD
Botvinnick was one of my favorite players. He taught a lot of good pointers that beginners can use as well as anyone up to grandmasters.
I'm late to the party it seems. Regardless, as an enthusiast of Computer Science and a genuine nerd, I loved the fact that this game, in a sense, could be tied directly to Artificial Intelligence in the context of Chess. Also, the ASMR is on point. ✨🤖🙏
Finally a new video. Waiting for more cotent from you, you are doing fantastic. Both educational and relaxing. Good job man
great Video:D
Very interesting and relaxing:)
Thank you:D
I've learned more about chess per minute watching this guy than I ever have from anything else. Maybe 'cos the ASMR style presention enables the complex information to slither subversively into my poor old brain against any defense as they say.
the blending of chess and asmr... you have truly caught lightning in a bottle. love your videos.
These asmr chess documentary vids are amazing asmr content. Im sure your great but i only really watch for these, however these are some of the best asmr vids ive ever found. I dont even play chess.
Would u consider covering some meltwater tournament matches?
google en passant
GG
I didn't calculate anything but I'm happy I found some of the moves
I was waiting for you to upload and I am not disappointed with the video. Keep up your great work :)
What was that pawn move called? Needa look that one up so I can use it later.

Your channel has quickly become one of my favourite things to watch on UA-cam! Great as always.
Excellent, a new video for me to play on repeat while working on my master's thesis
Thx it was great to see such an awesome game I wasn't familiar with! Was worth a second watch for sure
I have already watched this twice, so good to fall asleep to! I hope you are doing well good sir.
Absolutely loved this game! Please more of this type of games
