I first explored Queretaro in 1977 when I was a teenager visiting family from the states. I returned in 1990 and married a Queretana in 1992. We return every year and were fortunate enough to purchase a retirement home twelve years ago before home prices increased considerably.
Queretaro is a great place to live!
I have been living here for four years and the spring is much hotter than what you’re saying. Especially this spring it was 96° in my apartment every day for several months. It was impossible to go out during the day because of the intense heat.
More power to you, Karen. You inspire people like me to attempt a second try of living in your beautiful country of Mexico.
Thank you very much for your nice comment. I’m very excited to come back and I hope you find the next videos super interesting and fun.
I super good to hear from you, so sad you are leaving QRO, as we are moving in to Milenio III.
Made me happy to see a new video on this channel. Its 1030pm in Los Angeles.
That house is INCREDIBLE!
Omg I love that bakery! I love seeing your videos of Querétaro, it makes me realize how beautiful this place is 🥰
Good luck in Tula!
Carencita, qué bueno verte de nuevo. Muchas saludes desde NYC ❤
Very excited for your next adventure. I loved my time spent in Queretaro. A beautiful city and so very clean and safe. My Facebook posts surprised a lot of my friends in the Uk I think! I’ve seen very little of the area you are moving too but found it fascinating. I’m sure the new videos you are about to make will be just as interesting. Another and very different slice of Mexico!
We stayed nearby on Orquideas when we visited Querétaro. It’s such a nice quiet residential neighborhood, yet only a short walk to centro. Parque Bosques del Acueducto was perfect for walking the dog. Rent prices certainly have increased in the past few years! Looking forward to your videos from Tula. We have good friends in Pachuca and hope to visit that area soon. You’ll have to review the best pit barbacoa and pastes for us!
Looking forward to seeing your videos again, Karencita!
Thank you! Have a nice night 😊
So glad that you are back! I remember the house you own in Tula, looking forward to seeing what you and Dave do with it!
Me acuerdo qué vi el tour de tu casa antigua, hace mucho tiempo. La casita era muy bonita y estaba en el centro. Esta nueva casa también está muy bien, pero el precio eso sí como qué no está muy bien, pero así están los precios en todas partes. ❤
Yey. You’re back 🎉🎉 I’m so happy for you ❤❤❤
I’m back my friend! If you come to Mexico City soon, let’s meet there
Looking forward to your Tula adventure!
Hi Karen. I've appreciated your videos, and I look forward to seeing more. Best wishes for your new home near where you came from!
Sounds like Queretaro is getting expensive. I was there for xmas and new years eve 2023. It was nice. But i quockly tired of the centro historico. So far in my travels i prefer CdMx. I found Queretaro similar to but better than Puebla.
Question: Are you saying you are going to "flip" houses in Tula?
Its gonna be a significant of lifestyle change living in Tula.
Thank you for asking, we've considered that option too, we are going with the flow. If we see an opportunity according to our life goals, we'll surely take advantage of it.
Very fun , I like Tula, they have a great torta there .
Just subscribed to the other channel. I need to learn Spanish! 😊
OMG you’re back!!! 😊
I've missed you guys how are you doing
We are doing great. Life is good. How have you been?
@@LaKarencitaMX I'm doing good
Hola, Karen! Happy you are back, and good luck on the move! At 3:10 in this video, the technical English term is “solarium,” but most people in the United States would just call it a “sun room.”
We like to keep it simple.
Thank you very much. Please keep teaching me for the next videos I upload
Good vid! Thank you very much!
Muy emocionado por ver mas videos y tus nuevas aventuras!
🎉🎉 yo también estoy muy emocionada Brian
Nice to see you back, can't wait to see a tour of your home town :)
How big is your house?
So glad you are back 🎉❤
What is the story of the aquaduct?
Holaaaa!! I was just thinking about you! I love Querétaro!! But I don’t blame you for moving away from the tourism. It’s so difficult at times! I can’t wait to see Tula!
Bienvenida de vuelta Karen. Hacías falta.
Hola Rubí. Ustedes tenían una casa muy linda. Creo que $18,500 pesos es un precio adecuado, pero los inquilinos siempre les gusta pagar el menos posible. No puedo esperar ver tu próximo video. Saludos.

Hey! I’ve been to that house! 🎉
😉
You had a chance to buy a house in Queretaro but said you decided not to because you wanted to travel more. Surely this was a mistake as it is only getting harder and harder to buy a house there due to prices going up. My biggest fear for Queretaro is that it becomes too full of foreigners, especially Americans as that would make it a lot less attractive
Thanks for your perspective! While Queretaro's real estate market had or has indeed been booming, we don't regret our decision to travel instead of buying a house there. Our experiences abroad changed our outlook and priorities, and we had found other ways to grow our future that aligned with our goals.
It's all about finding the right balance between experiences and financial security, right?
As for Queretaro becoming 'too full of foreigners,' I understand your concern about preserving local culture.
I disagree Queretaro will be less attractive, not only foreigners are going to Queretaro but nationals, the industry is doing pretty well too.
@@LaKarencitaMX It is nice to travel but it's also nice to put down roots. I appreciate your thoughts either way. I will be trying to buy in Queretaro myself so hope I can do this before it becomes too difficult
