It’s so nice to see Sanctum get some love. I think it’s a great game it’s one I often pull out and play when I can’t decide what to play; very easy to table and go through. An overlooked gem imo. This game is also the one which taught me that a lack of variability does not hold back replay value if the core loop is fun
Great list! Mine would include a lot of Button Shy games. Sprawlopolis, ROVE, Numbsters. And also include Railroad Ink. And probably For Northwood. I need quick setup, and quick play for cozy. Although I am dipping my toe into solo RPGs. So far they are very cozy, unless i'm doing it wrong.
I agree that quick setup does help with that, and could include some button shy games and actually, For Northwood probably should have been on my list!
hehehe What a funny coincidence! I actually didn't even put that together intentionally, I just cut the minutes of me pleading with him to stop barking
Fun list. Couple new ones to check out. Also, Rowdy is great. By any chance, did you back Good Dog Bad Zombie to put Rowdy in? I backed to put my two dogs in.
oh my gosh that's so cool! I only vaguely remember this, because we didn't actually have him at the time. We got him 2 months ago. Now I'm going to have to look into the late pledge...

Yes, agreed on all counts. And that's true about variability, because that's normally one of my main focuses, yet I love this game

Marvel united and 4AD are on my list as well. Wingspan, Viticulture and Roll Player round out my five. Fun topic!
good ones! I think there is something to the tone of stonemaier games that makes a lot of them feel a bit cozy

Never heard of Twisted Final Fight
I find it to be one of the best values for differentiating each 4AD play
