Great video Christian. I have thought about buying rolls off eBay too, but I was always skeptical about them being truly unsearched. Right now I am sorting 2 5 gallon water jugs my dad filled with pennies throughout his lifetime. I have found a few India heads, mostly wheats and memorials.

Awesome video Christian! I don’t think people should be buying these often, if at all! 99% of the time they’re actually searched. If they have a Indian head on the end or a silver dime or something, most likely searched! Keep up the amazing work Christian and have a great evening everyone 😊

I would be happy to have that roll, as my collection is short on thirties, but not for that price. Coincidentally, I have been setting aside extra wheat cents and have finally filled a roll, took me a couple years, but I really don't do roll hunts, just from circulation in change.

The best way that I have found to have fun is going to my LCS and asking for a good mix of 500 wheats for $19.00. I always get over 150 pre 1940s cents and lots in the teens and 20s

I could tell right off the bat that that roll was brand new and not old-the Kraft paper was new Kraft paper. The Kraft paper used to make old coin wraps back in the 1920's to 1950's was much thinner and would have had some ageing/patina to the wrapper. Thanks though for the very fun video!

That roll had been searched. There should have been way more Denver mint marks. I have a big canvas bag of pennies that I’ve never looked through. My problem is it’s too heavy for me to pick up. I’m going to have to see if my grandson will bring it downstairs for me to look through. Your roll search has inspired me.

Well Christian I appreciate you spending your money to show unsearched rolls aren't really unsearched. Maybe it will save some hobbyist some cash. I do still get excited whenever I see a 1936 though. Do you look just at the dates for doubling or like the FS103 the doubling only in the "In God we Trust"? I've found both the FS102 and the FS103 in the last 6 months. Thanks for sharing.

Everyone gets burned on deals every once in awhile. I mainly use ebay for gold, silver and video games etc. I'm probably weary of the so-called unsearched wheat cents rolls. I bought a few of them and I know it wasn't a good deal. Sometimes a person takes a hit.

I knew it was fake simply from the generic brown paper. True OBW rolls that are 50 years old look TOTALLY different.

Always curious as to these type rolls- on the fence because I have several hundred pounds of nickels from 2006 on and never searched them.
It's just one of those things that come and go-

1:54 looks like you damaged the coins a bit there. I'd never knife a roll like that. Plus a link to the sister roll would have been useful.

If it was really from Denver, the majority of pennies would have D mint marks.Obviously,a scam.
