What do you mean when you say, "the next time you got work, and your boss criticizes your project, starts throwing a temper tantrum and tells you his wife wants a divorce, remember your WAW. You're there to raise your self worth." What would you do in this hypothetical situation? What does raising your self worth look like in this situation?
Instead of getting upset, understand where your boss is coming from. Understand their emotions not in the hopes of them understanding yours but because helping others is what makes you happy. It doesn’t mean going out of your way to heal them, but support them in their struggle with a couple words. Even a little “I’m here if you need to talk” goes a long way when people think they’re alone in their problems.
