23:00 I've definitely found the (Dark) Mechanicum release has reinvigorated my desire to paint LI (and AT by extension).
From a hobby point of view it's such a great game. Big armies of little dudes LOOKS like an army, whilst things like titans (or even superheavies) are nice chunky projects (moreso if you convert corrupted titans).
It has got me interested in buying some large scale Heresy as well. I might just pick some kits up that I like, and wait to see what HH3 is like.

You can even see the halves of the legs have the classic line visible from glueing them together on one picture. It’s 28 mm, very clearly visible once you start looking at the proportions of cables compared to legs etc. Makes perfect sense using these spindly models as a step towards even bigger plastic models, as they have plenty of supporting points, pretty basic components that aligns with the tried and true knight kits, and the design itself isn’t really that dense. They could easily duplicate sprues in one kit, use the same leg sprues for multiple models and so on. It’s great design, using pretty straight forward stuff making something that looks wild!

Thanks for the kind words about the NMM on Karthos. Was fun. Dark Mec should hopefully bring some life into Horus Heresy. I don't know why it wasnt in the Mechanicum HH book either. Its a puzzle.

Got into the hobby through lord of the rings and got to agree they’re much quieter on social media, nowadays I play both it and heresy , fully hyped for 28mm dark mech

I definitely think that's an enhanced Legion Imperialis figure and not a figure in 28mm. I think that's more wishful thinking, for well all of us! lol
