Really compelling intro, i wasnt expecting that and im definitely here for it. Subbed! They turned out amazin aswell! Have you any warmaster in your stash?
Ahhhh cheers! Thank you!
Really appreciate the sub. This video is different from what I usually do. I’ll look to do a follow up on this boxed set and another like this if it’s successful. ❤🎉
Damn!
This video hits hard 👏 👌🏻
Brought back some great memories of gang fighting in the 90s with my roommates, 5 of us sharing a house cause we made no money in our first post-uni jobs, but we all had a gang.
@@chappy4756 it was super affordable to get into. Shoot I missed this aspect in the video. As a kid my parents bought me everything so it’s not something I was too mindful of when reminiscing.
These are absolutely stunning! It’s amazing to see how much life you can breathe into old models, they totally hold up, even now. I had such a blast doing this together, and we should get our gangs on the table soon to roll some dice! Next video? Yes please.
@@BroadswordWargaming ahhhh cheers! I loved your take on the classics as well.
Yup, we’ll have to bump heads now with our gangs!
great video, Blade runner and Terminator refs fantastic and along with Alien were the beginnings.
Thank you! It’s a bit different from my usual. Depending on its success I’d love to do more.
Having watched this video i would love to see you paint orignal Traveller figures from the 80s
Oh, what are they?
Fun different kind of video. Looking forward to more of this style of vids :)
What a brilliant video, you sir have earned yourself a new subscriber!
@@ms-jw3oy welcome on board!
First timer here. I enjoy your paint style very much. As a (relative) newbie, I still struggle with where to put highlights and shadows; do I just slapchop? Do I use washes? Dry brush? I look forward to trying your method where you pre-shade everything then go in with the colors.
@@shorelessskies your secret power is taking photos of your minis when they are primed. That shows you everything.
Check out the Patreon for more in depth discussions on these subjects.
Came because of broadswords video, subbed because of how good this video is
@@colin_painting_adventure welcome on board! And thanks! I’ll make sure to make more of these styles of videos.
Love hearing the reminder that GW's products were a satire of Thatcher's UK.
@@Spark_Chaser hahaha yeah. A lot of the stuff in the 90’s was a reaction to how desolate the uk was in the 80’s.
Came from Broadsword to see your sick paint jobs - wasn't expecting a really interesting meditation on the socio-political and artistic aspects of early 'Munda, really enjoyed that!
Your painting style is awesome, makes me want to start focusing on a volumetric style now
@@MFATMF hahaha thank you! We chatted about the styles of video. We felt like there wasn’t much point making the same style of video twice. We wanted this to be its own thing, and accompaniment to broadswords piece.
Give volumetric a whirl on a space marine first - get a feel for it.
Thx
Great video. A comment about the production: I found the flashing transitions to be a bit jarring/distracting. You content is great, though!
@@TheRonHockman thanks for the feedback! I wanted something a little harsher to play off the themes in the video. But there’s a difference between purposefully jarring and unwatchable. I’ll try something different next time.
I got this for my birthday in 1995 or 1996
@@RickPop85 hell yeah! That’s a core memory right there.
@lillegendstudiocommissionp7839 what really stood out was the terrain and how you could change it every time you played
The best game
Man you're a crazy good painter. Your level of skill and the eye for detail is stunning. Super crisp and clean
@@warhumm3l thank you! It’s appreciated.
Hello, You could paint the old Warhammer Quest if you want.
1 vote for quest!
amazing video. Really enjoyed that. More please!
You got it. After watching The secret LEvel episode yesterday I've started the first draft of the next script.
Game holds up!! Still a keeper!
@@manofaction1807 100%.
I've still got my original N95 set. I traded off the Goliaths and Orlocks that came in the box, but I have a bunch of Escher and Adeptus Arbites. Three sets of terrain.
Now you can have a Rumble in the Jumble with these guys. Preferably with 90s music. :)
@@rustedbeetle HELL YEAH!
your paint jobs look gorgeous! but i think there were two overlapping backing tracks throughout most of the painting which was very overwhelming
@@yourpaljoni sorry about that. I’m still ironing these things out when it comes to my editing.
Ok, i was enjoying your video, but the dual overlapping music just kept taking me out of it. In fact i found it so jarring, i left around 13mins in. I know my comment likely dosent matter, just some feedback.
@@o0krazyboris0o no it does matter. I’m still finding my feet with editing these sorts of videos. I was trying to find next a bit of a frenzy to play off the themes being discussed.
But I’ll make sure to adjust for the next video.
@@lillegendstudiocommissionp7839 thank you for the response 🙂. Either way, I've subbed as the content was great. Good narrative work, and it felt like you genuinely are interested in the video topic, which is great 👍
@ hell yeah. This took a long time to produce and I’m still learning the ropes. I doubt this style of video will be a frequent thing but I’d like to make more in this style. Maybe refit this when I’m a little stronger.
For the game, the figures are a template. You are SUPPOSED to cut it up, modify, add 40k and fantasy kit to it.
THIS game is literally, and figuratively for the fan base to join in and do the development and evolution.
Hi Myles, i am Miles.
