I watch a ton of these pool vids. I find them very soothing. Most pool owners/pool maintenance people suggest checking the pool water before you start, particularly paying attention to pH, then assessing your free & combined chlorine levels. If the cyanuric acid level is too high that will also have an effect on cleaning up a green pool. Sunlight likwise affects chlorine. It causes a chemical reaction, which negates its effectiveness, so you'll need to top up your chlorine. Chemistry is king. That's a lovely big pool you have there & I'm the furthest thing away from an expert, but maybe you needed more shock from the get go, though I accept you couldn't anticipate the pool pump failing. The idea behind brushing the pool surfaces at the outset is to damage the algae, making it more vulnerable to pool shock & speeding up the process. Stirring up the algae makes it less likely to cling to the pool surfaces & as I said it should then take less time for a pool to clear. If you don't brush, I understand it is easier for algae to be left behind in stubborn stains, which will still have to brushed at the end.

Yea It works great in combination with pool shock. Run the pool filter for a while and it clears up the water in a few days.
Thanks for the review
you should of used twice as much. and way more chlorine
welp it worked and I went off the directions, but I wouldn't have gone wrong to put more chlorine.
