Well choreographed, like a Jackie Chan scene. This type of thinking is good for every job. You aren't running around looking for tools. I even do it with my tent. If I haven't used it in 6 or 7 months which is not unusual here, I set it up a couple of times before heading out. I do it for fishing as well, take what I need and if in my canoe then set it where I can lay hand to it. Heck I even do it if I stay at a motel. Lost a really good pair of shoes by not lining everything up to go. I should add if you need hot beverages in the morning make up a thermos the night before.

Choreography only works if you practice a lot…more than 20 yrs militarily service has shown me that…morning coffee drinkers can make it at night and put it in a thermos to drink on the go don’t know how many times I had to bleach out my canteen but it works too…Have fun stay safe.

My tune that plays in my head during camp breakdown is System of a Down...Toxicity ( disorder, disorder, disorder .) ..lol only half joking! 😅
I totally get it..military precision is
key to survival in many circumstances, good choreography is also a fun way to do the do! ( i refrain from calling it a job😂)

I like you over explaining things for us that don't get it all in one quick tutorial.
Watched Dave C. Do his king of the ridgeline and got stuck with the two half hitches and how to set it up for quick release. I replayed half dozen times. But once i got it, good to go. You get a bit long winded but i dont get lost with your instructions. Thanks. You've helped go from roughing it to smoothing it for this Silverwolf.

This is totally off topic, but it came to me while watching this so I thought I’d throw it out there.
Could you not use a large bed sheet soaked in water as your “tarp” in hot weather for evaporative cooling? As long as it doesn’t rain, of course, lol.
I remember reading at some point how our grandparents and great grandparents would hang a wet bedsheet in an open outside door and another window or door on the opposite side of the house. The wind/draft would then blow the cool air through the house.
I haven’t personally tried it, but may be worth considering during how weather, if you had a breeze. Just a thought.

I'm 76 years old been doing rodyvues for over 60 years never seen a time when I or any of my buddies were in such a hurry we worried about if it took an extra 20 minutes to set up - setting up camp is half the fun - take time to enjoy the day my good man slow down and enjoy life don't be in a hurry

You get a little older, you'll understand better what economy of movement means at the end of the day. It's not about a slow relaxing setup, it's about not retracing your steps six times. Kind of like making sure your gear is all secure before that trek up the hill. Don't want to retrace those steps four times. Or even one. Makes for a hard day, with an extra ache or two to show for it.

Very good young man. I do like the way you are doing things in order not having any wasted motion. Everything in its place in order of when you need it out.
