- Grandma's pool was an absolute mess. This is one the toughest jobs we've ever tackled. But we were brave! Equipped with the best tools from poolpartstogo.com we were able to make this pool look completely clean and transformed in just a few short days. If you are looking for the best products to maintain your pools quality year round then poolpartstogo.com will help. We used their incredible Blue Torrent variable speed pump and their 360 degree pool brushes (and i'm never using a different pool brush after that!) Man, the family Must be happy to have their pool cleaned up, its heartwarming to be honest, because it's good for the family to have their pool back it brings the family memories.
Man that tile pattern must have cost a ton on the original installation. One of the best looking pools I've ever seen, and I live in Florida where we have more pools than people.
I just noticed it's the tiny inch size all over even the bottom ....that's a ton of work
@@MOTC2024 yeah, even if it was laid in sheets, it is a lot
Those tiles werent placed one by one in 1x1cm sizes but they were placed as normal tiles 30x30cm or something like that
@@pero7893 yeah, but that's still a lot of work. Grouting 1 square meter of 30x30 grids of 1cm tiles is more work than grouting that same area of 30cm x 30cm tiles. Either is infinitely more work that just having a concrete bottomed pool.

there was still a point as its gonna track back over to the pool and it would of made them easier to replace as well cause they wont be all caked up with the dirt and gunk
@@OverkillBillsXbox thats going to happen no matter what and I don't think they will sell the old gross caked stones no one would want them
He should've used a chlorinated bleach spray on the stones and then power washed to kill the mold spores and brighten the cement. There's another youtuber that does patios, sidewalks and almost anything with his commercial grade power washer but it has a big pressure sprayer that he says has a 30%? or 40% chlorine mixture in it and he sprays that in the stone and cement and let's it soak for a few minutes. He then power washes it down and then repeats at least one more time. The end product is jaw dropping and looks newly poured. He talks a lot about mold spores and why you need to use bleach and how his mixture won't kill off the lawn or plants.
After watching his videos and then this one, this guy hardly did anything.

Does anyone know where I can find some cheap steak?
yeesssssss I can remember when we still had a pool and for whatever reason my mom and stepfather didn't maintain it for a while (I was a kid and knew nothing about it) and then they suddenly decided they were going to get it cleaned up again- we went to every store in the area and bought out everyone's stock of Clorox. Somehow just pouring bleach into the pool didn't work...
Pov my dad rn
They actually could have cleaned it with just chemicals. Ie an algecide, pool enzymes, pH decreaser and double the dosage of pool shock! Might take a few days but it works!
Really nice job bringing that back to life the way you have. Especially with the sentimental value it has from the family. top effort.
I am in this sector for more than 30 years as an engineer and never seen such a dirt pool in my life. The transformation is incredible. Wonderful. I sent this video some of my friends what a hard job we do. Thanks for uploading.
Don't ever say they're "Just" pool guys. These guys are craftsmen.
They are pool cleaners lol. They are literally cleaning mud and algae out of a pool. Not knocking the job, but this isn’t craftsmanship. This is cleaning.
@@hotcarryy3496 You do it then.
@@heru-deshet359 Where was the crafting?
@@animalmother556x45 They took a sewage pool and turned it into an oasis.
@@heru-deshet359 Im a finish carpenter, I’m not a pool cleaner. Again I’m not knocking the work, it’s cool to see the transformation from dirty to clean. But it’s not a skilled labor. Power washing, debris removal, and treating the water with chemicals just doesn’t fit how you described the line of work.
All that tile work, and such a solid pool.. obviously much time and energy went into its creation. I hope people choose to maintain it. It’s how we have nice things..
That is such a gorgeous pool with the shades of blue tile! I emptied my pool, to have it filled in, then COVID happened. I didn't want folks in my yard, needed to have a fence replaced at the same time, as the heavy machinery would have to come through there...it still isn't done. The deep end has collected a bit of monsoon rains and not had time to evaporate in our Arizona heat, yet, so it is black and very gunky and horrible looking. Hopefully I'll be able to get it filled in and a tree or two planted, in a year or so! Mine never looked this pretty! That tile makes it so beautiful!! Great job!! Happy memories waiting to be made once more.
bloody well done on this mate. I work for compass-pools, so watching you bring back the art/design of the craftsman what design these pools is amazing. the amount of time, skill it takes to actually design a pool like this is insane! , especially ceramic ones! it's disheartening to see them get to this stage as it's so avoidable and very easy to keep on top of it. any top pool installation companies will always supply the relevant info you need to keep it clean etc. but they are high maintenance here in the UK due to the weather. I noticed that the owners were very elderly so I would assume either one of them become ill or in hospital/and or had something happen in their life's for it to be this bad.
Dude... I've been writing pool articles for the last couple of days and I came upon your channel. I'm glad I did, you gave me a whole new perspective for my last article related to pools. Thank you!

Being in the exterior cleaning business myself, I'd love to have a crack at a pool, looks a really rewarding job once finished, however I would use a 20" surface cleaner for the paving and a 12" for the pool tiles, would massively speed that side of the job up, plus I'd also softwash with sodium hypochlorite the whole pool and paving areas, super quick and effective through a Dosatron unit.
Great job tho 👏
It absolutely needs a Hypo soak.

@@scottmichaels1764 yeah, they throw in shock when the ph is really bad but im pretty sure from the tree and how much/thick the algae was there was no other choice than drain it.
If it was my pool, I would also have gotten all the edging stones replaced as a lot of them were breaking up and cracking. Just for safety reasons more than for visual enhancements, as the last thing you want is kids to try and get in/out the side of the pool and end up hurting themselves.
Awwe, it was sweet, the sentiment behind it. And the memories. And now the pool is clean again, maybe they can make more memories in it ☺️
My guy, invest in a solid pressure washing unit. You shouldn’t have to scrub with a brush excessively. Get a solid 4GPM 3500-4000psi unit and use some SH with a surfactant to clean with. I woulda had that whole thing sprayed down in a couple hours. There is no way around scooping that gunk out though haha nice work!
You have to be careful with how strong the pressure washer is on the pool surface! The grey karcher we had was beasty enough bro!! 🤙🏻 yer 6 inches of sludge ain’t easy to shift
I was asking my self why where you using a low pressure and that's why okay , that's was awesome good video and good work , I hope your video are monetised because I watched all the ads to support your video 👌🏾👌🏾🤓
You hit that old tile with 3500-4000 psi and you'll probably blow half of the tile off. Then you're on the hook for a new tile job.
And def use a fan tip, the rotary tip on tile or any type of pavement will show the swirls and overlapping. But most definitely beautiful pool overall, not easy what so ever brother!
Unbefrickinbelievable! You mean to tell me that all these people at "Grandma's" house didn't try to do something for this pool before it got so bad? This video wins the top award for the filthiest pool ever. I don't ever want to visit these people (who are willing to live in such filth for so long). I hope you got a double bonus for dealing with this.
Likely grandma got ill and elderly, and it just got to be one of those things
If you watched until the end, grandma is really, really a grandma. She is very frail and old. And her own kids are very old looking as well. It would make sense that her kids probably didn’t know what to do and it might have been the husband (grandpa) was the one taking care of it and he had passed. So it wasn’t the priority. And at that point, it was too late. You don’t have the right to judge these people. They were almost in tears seeing this. Obviously there was a reason this happened. Shame on you.
No idea why I watch this stuff. I don't own a pool, I don't care about pool cleaning and yet it's comfy to watch.
