Germany's GDP per capita is $55k. Milka chocolate 300g is about 3-4e.
Serbia's GDP per capita is $11k. Same chocolate is up to 6-8e
A lot of the confectionery products manufactured in Serbia are cheaper to buy in neighbouring countries or even USA than in Serbia.
Not true ..Milka 300 g is also 4 e like in Germany. And Serbia is far safer country than Germany. Also bread is only 50 cents, coffee 1.5 e ..Far cheaper then in Euro country's
@@user-tj7nb9fu9t
Serbia is definitely safer than Germany.

Hey there. I am from Serbia, and I can confirm that these boycotts are already proving to be quite effective. The same thing is happening in the nearby Croatia where people started boycotting a few weeks prior. And I also heard good news coming from Italy about a month ago.
Now, from talking to people online and on the ground, the vibes are very positive. At the moment, the 24hrs boycotts in Serbia are scheduled for each Friday. And after a month or so, it is very likely that the consumers will start targeting individual grocery chains, depending on how they behave by that point. Would be interesting to hear how it's like in other countries, being that inside or outside of Europe. Cheers ❤❤

Nothing is going to happen. You all are going to buy in few days. 😂
You need to keep your negative comment to yourself.
This is why I am moving to Croatia and Serbia. Their people influence their government, not the otherway around
@@Deltasquadformingup Well, it's not all sunshine and rainbows, to be sure. This is still a struggle, no matter how you slice it or where you live. But boycotts do work. Anyone who tells you differently is either misinformed or is an active lobbyist.
All former yugoslav countries are boycotting rn
We have this in Bulgaria too! But no one show it! The effective date is 13 February!
This is happening in Serbia too?
Yup. It started about 2 weeks ago, and people are now hooked. They have seen the first results and they intend to keep at it.
No it's all a lie..Nobody boycotting anything fake news

No, this is not true ..Nobody is boycotting

I realize that you should not boycott to the point of adversely affecting your health, but "power to the proletariat!"
Yeah, exactly. Another thing that people have been doing is to avoid big chains altogether, and are instead buying from their local suppliers at the markets. Here in the Balkans we have a tradition of supporting the little guy over some conglomerate cartel.
Forget MILKA Chocolate... Serbia BLOK Chocolate is FAR Superior!!!!!!!!

the tariffs on china is not bad.
What you should have did was tell your people here in United States to boycott voting for Trump
Don't worry EU prices will surprise u ask everyone who's remembered change to euro😅
Yeah, I know what you are saying. The problem is, Serbia is not in the EU. Yet, we pay higher margins than some of the EU member states, which makes no sense. So it is price gouging, plain and simple.
I was homeless, did drugs, went into prison, where I got to know God. He changed my life. Now I have a home, a Husband and a lovely daughter (Jessica), and a stream of income that gets me $44,000 Every month. Plus a new identity - a child of God. Hallelujah!!!
Excuse me for real?, how is that possible I have struggling financially, how was that possible?
Kindly let me know more bout this bimonthly thing you just mentioned. Please...
It is the digital market. That's been the secret to this wealth transfer. A lot of folks in the US amd abroad are getting so much from it, God has been good to my household Thank you Jesus

Maybe Serbians should ask their government to give them the USAID they received to fund LGBT+ issues in workplace and buy groceries with it instead.
We do not lack money to buy groceries, but we’re getting ripped on the way.
That money went to corrupt politicians lol.

They'll just be back in a week or two and will surge buy even more to make up for the missed days 🤣 The corporate side of these stores is just laughing and getting their money bath ready and the poor minimum wage workers are finally relaxing now being able to stock and clean the store without having to deal with these out of touch karens haranguing them for a while.
The idea is also to buy in other small stores or open markets
