- Olympus 45mm F1.8 - one of the best budget portrait lenses in MFT syste.
Special thanks to www.stavangerfoto.no who let me test this lens for last 2 weeks!
The lens would work great with any micro 4/3 cameras, including GH5, GH5S, G9, G7, GX9, GX85/GX80, G85/G80, Olympus cameras, and more.
The studio shoots created with Panasonic G80 + Sony A7iii

I have had the lens since release, still enjoy it!
Useful review
very good!!!!
Good video. Both the panasonic and olympus are great lenses for their price i have them both.
Thanks! I agree ;-)
Ditto.
i did decided for Panasonic 42,5mm testing it now
I think Panasonic is a very good choice, but more expensive.
i have olympus m10 mark 2 and i am wondering about a portrait lens for it, in a cheap range, between olypus 45mm f1.8 and sigma 30mm f1.4 which one should I choose, my needs are mostly photography , less filming and I need accurate color and high definition, thank you!
I cant compare as i haven't used the sigma. The Olympus is definitely a great lens for the price.
@@karolkizlo1945 yes thank you i will buy olympus
I have both S 5614 and O 4518
O Look really good on small camera like
GF series, toy camera outlook with crazy bokeh which can easily surprise everyone,
look okay on GX ,
really bad 👎on G7,G9,GH5,
(like a fat guy with a small …)
So I won’t take to pro shooting job
S look good on both GH5,GX..even okay on GF
(its quite small w/o the hood)
S has stronger Bokeh, but I think that len should compare with O4512/p42512 and will win on size n price performance ratio 👍🏻
You shouldn't ever test Olympus lenses on Panasonic bodies and vice versa: I have both cameras and I noticed that purple fringing is never corrected when you put a lens on the body of another brand.
My 17mm looks terrible on a GX9 and so when I put the 15mm on my pen F, but if I switch bodies and lens images improve dramatically.
No M43 manufacture really fixes CA in the lens and they mostly use software to correct the problem, unless you pick a VERY expensive lens, like the 1.2 lenses from both the producers.
At "relatively" low budget the 75mm 1.8 is the only lens that really stands out, together with the pro zoom from Olympus that really only show minimal sign of CA.
"weighs" not "weights", which is a plural noun.
thanks :)
