The "Utopia" being a desperate hope makes sense since the name of the "Utopia" monsters in Japanese is Hope. Number 39 Utopia is named in japanese Kibō'ō Hope which literally means King of Wishes, Hope.
I love that the lists are going into the lore a bit, even if you only care about gameplay, knowing the card's place in a story explains its design philosophy. Like how Qixing Longyuan draws a card because he killed Mo Ye. Or how Kashtira represent anger, which is why so many people get pissed when they realize they're facing them.
When I learned of VFD I was told it meant "Very Fun Dragon" because of how "fun" the meta became with that card... I thought it was true until not too long ago lol

Hey, I have an idea for an "Unknown side of Yugioh" video! You already mentioned in Pharaoh and Kaiba's duel against Darts both Pharoah and Darts pulled out cards that prevented them from losing when they ran out of lifepoints. But there's more times where cards like this were made for the anime and manga series! For example, Kalin Kessler from 5Ds, in both the anime and the manga, had cards that prevented him from losing when he ran out of lifepoints, both tied to his Infernity deck. There was also a time in the GX manga where Aster Phoenix dueled Jaden and used a card that gave him an extra 100 lifepoints when Jaden hit him for lethal damage. I just think it's interesting that the anime and manga series is willing to reuse this effect when I'm not sure if an effect like this even exists in the real game.
What's something I find interesting about Titanic moth and Titanic Galaxy is that they both have a similar Silhouette. (Quick Effect) You can unequip 1 card or detach 1 Xyz material from this card per turn to apply or activate 1 of the following effects:_
⚪️Equip 1 a monster you control with 1 Equip spell from your hand or deck.
⚪️Special summon 1 Union monster from your hand or deck.
⚪️Destroy 1 card on the field.
ATK/2450 DEF/1700
I believe you mean "attach the destroyed monster", since equipping it will just waste a S/T zone most of the time

THERE made it either or. You have a point, but there ARE niche uses for equipping monsters in itself, and it keeps with Sword Hunters identity.
@@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire Well he gains 200 ATK each time, true.
I've been wondering since I watched the 5ds anime, is Therion King Regulus related to the Regulus we see in the spirit world?
Probably not, therions are part of the albaz storyline
Regulus is just super common name for Lion character.
The counterfeit proofing on Lavalval Chain is great, cause if you look closely, it's not a Sea Serpent
do think lavalval chaincould come at 1 if it let foolish only lavalval monsters
Idk when Loggy will finally realize how to pronounce the word "Harbinger"
I am fully appalled that Cyber Dragon Nova/infinity is not on this list! It's an omninegate, can obsorb an opponent's Atk position monster, and pairs well with light decks like Galaxy Photon with the new galaxy Photon dragon for even more damage
Infinity is good but on a list of cards of this tier, it's not good enough to hit it 'cause there's a LOT of good Xyz retrains of monsters.
Everytime DuelLogs says Harbringer instead of Harbinger, i physically cringe. I love his channels so much but that is always sending me ^^
Not as bad as MBT saying Stratos, Alister, Raiza, etc
11:07 which SHS player is using therions??? or am i that out of the loop?
"Harbinger" is pronounced har-been-jer. I love your videos. Single-handedly getting me back into YGO
Today I learned that VFD actually stands for something, and not just the very fun dragon
Have you ever considered making a list of top 10 cards introduced in the manga? I didn't know Number 38 was from the manga, and now I'm curious to see what other competitive staples were introduced via manga
It's always good to see even after all this time people still pronounce Harbinger wrong
whatt about supreme kings ? like supreme king odd eyes and supreme king rebilion and etc of supreme kings . they have an unbelievable evolution pls do part 2 and add them and thank you
Going from the lightning to borrelsword/Accesscode is basically us being put under new management. Same shit, different border.
