Dang, you weren't joking. That paint came right off!! 😳👋❤️❤️❤️. When I do dishes, I scorch them in the sink under hot water, then run in dishwasher with hot water and soap. Maybe it's twice, but I don't want to hand wash each single dish / cookware.
Hey about the dishwasher… I have the same dishwasher, ask bubba to clean out the screen debris trap on the bottom, and check the jets where the water sprays out of (usually on each end of the rotating arms) for junk blocking them up. Then dump some bleach into the bottom and run it empty to flush it out and it will be good as new!!! Hope it helps!!!

Hey girl from Canada, I always scrub and rinse off my dishes prior to loading the dishwasher , it extends the life of the dishwasher and stops the food from clogging the filter. I clean the filter once a week with an old kids toothbrush under water that's it. My 1st dishwasher lasted 15 yrs by doing so, my current one is now 7 years old.
Have you tried collard greens Brazilian style. Is easy and we like it with a side of meat or barbeque chicken. You wash it very well, cut the bottom evenly, stack them up then wrap it up tight with your hand like a burrito, hold it tight as you cut it in semi thin slices. You add olive oil, fresh garlic, salt, and black pepper to your liking, and cook it on medium high for 3-6 minutes, mixing it as it heats up so it don't burn and is done. If you over cook it the collard greens will become mushy. Sometimes I add mushrooms.🤗 The food looks yummy.
Those ornaments were such a good idea! I’ve only had one dishwasher that actually got stuff clean without scrubbing. I do a quick prewash in the sink for my dishes and then put them in the dishwasher. I’m not sure I’ve had collards. I do love turnip greens though.
I put vinegar into a cup sit it in the top part of the dishwasher and run it on the longest setting. Helps cleans the jets and makes it work better imo.

I have the same issue with my dishwasher from time to time but I don't use it that often unless we use up a lot of dishes or if I don't feel like washing them by hand. Normally I just take what ever didn't get all the way cleaned in the dishwasher and hand wash it when I wash dishes again.
That bottom rack of your dishwasher, you're going have to pull that out and clean that filter. I've seen some other UA-camr cleaning ladies do that some use a Bissel shot steam cleaner to clean all the cracks and crevices, then just run the cycle on hot water using vinegar.

Have you cleaned the filter out ? It’s at the bottom and it pops off. There’s a catch basin and then most you can pull up and out the other one. If you haven’t cleaned it lately beware cause it’s gross 🤢 but that should help💕✝️
My dishwasher hasn’t been working well either. I have no clue what’s wrong with it. I’ve tried everything, it’s only about a 5-6 year old dishwasher and I’ve had it repaired once before. I agree, I might as well just well just wash by hand lol
You may need to clean out the dishwasher filter in the bottom of your dishwasher. Also, I’ve had to run my sink water until it’s hot and then start the dishwasher- keep the hot water in the sink running for a few more minutes then turn it off. ❤️from Alabama

And in its last year, it did that and I started using the cascade platinum with Dawn gel packs and it got them spotless! Tell Sadie she did a beautiful job on those ornaments! I agree! I have a 10+ yr old dishwasher and I changed detergent, plus I use white vinegar in the rinse compartment to avoid food particles on my dishes. Works every time!

I love collards! My grown kids expect them for Thanksgiving and New Years down! I clean, cook til the water turns really green, pour off the green water, rinse and freeze...then cook! I add sugar to mine. Yummy
Hi Laci, I had to hop back on here to let you know I made your 'Country Casserole' yesterday. We LOVED it ‼️ I didn't expect the flavors to be so creamy. I made it like you did. I was generous with butter on the bottom. The only substitution I made was the milk. I was completely out of milk so I used a can of evaporated milk. Perfect substitution! We go to my 80 year old father's house every Sunday late afternoon to eat dinner and watch a movie on his FAVORITE station, Hallmark Movie Channel. I took your casserole and it got eaten ‼️ I'll be making it again ❤️ Do you have a favorite recipe for a mashed potato casserole that includes meat 'n veggies? 🤷🏻♀️💯👏🏻
I have the same problem with my dishwasher. I always have to wash the really dirty dishes by hand. Then I run them through with the other dishes just to sanitize them.
Hoping to be able to have a garden one day! That casserole is Amish...I have been making it for years it's so easy and tasty I use egg noodles and sprinkle Paprika on top before baking...like you said you can tweak it to your own liking 😁....have a great weekend...hugs to Sadie 🤗

Clean the filter and your sprayers with vinegar. Then run some jet dry dish washer cleaner threw it. You can find the jet dry cleaner at Ollie's that's where I get mine. It should be where the dishwasher stuff is it's little tablets .

Whenever my dishwasher is not cleaning well I will put a cup full of white vinegar sitting in the bottom rack and run a hot cycle. It seems to help! Also, I bet that casserole will be good with mozzarella melted on top
That’s what I’m gonna do is clean that thing good lol! & yes that sounds so good! Next time I’m gonna pour some mozzarella in the mix and melt it into the mixture on the stove and then melt more on top

I do tatertot casserole, browned beef, cream of mushroom soup, can of milk, bag of frozen peas. Mix, top with tatertots and bake 350 til tots are brown. Simple but I love it. Yours looks good too. Add ricotta or cottage cheese and parmesan to spice it up a notch.
My dish washer has been doing the same thing with not cleaning them all the way😑 it drives me crazy lol but what I've been doing is making sure my plates are tilted/ slanted enough that the soap and water gets to both sides and for my bowls I've been putting them upside down completely so far that seems to be working pretty good hope this helps you!😁
It seems like the bowls are the worst on mine! I think what it is that they are too close together and there’s no space between them! And the filter was nasty lol
When we have dishes during the day, i make sure i put water in them to soak or soray them with sink sprayer before i load dishwasher in evening, after dinner rinses quickly load and wash..everything always comes out clean
I love collards. We use to grow our own for ourselves but people would stop by our house constantly wanting to buy some that we started a huge garden of them. This was our first time growin them ourselves! We wanted mustards! We always have more than what we need for ourselves from the garden of everything we grow so we give it to friends and family. One year when we lived somewhere else, we had a veggie napper 🤣🤣 somebody was clearing us out while we slept at night. Bubba ended up getting so frustrated that he took the tiller to it & tore it all down haha.
Hey friend, I haven't had a dishwasher in 20 years, unless you count the hubby, all I have to do is leave them in the sink for 1/2 hour and he can't stand it🤣. I was thinking about adding cheese to it when I was making it but I never added cheese before, so I wanted to keep it the way I normally do it. I’m adding cheese next time tho 🤣🤣
I’m so behind and I have no idea if this has been mentioned…but I run hot water while I’m loading my dishwasher and use my scrub brush to get the stuck on food off before I put it in the dishwasher. I also have to check the drain from time to time. I have well water and I know I get slack for running water like I do….but it works for me and mine 💜💙 Also, I try load everything so that almost everything is facing the center of the washer as mush as possible.
Absolutely yummy definitely need to try it!!!! I grew up in casseroles collards fresh veggies and can’t leave out homemade desserts!!!! Yippeeeeee Skippy love to eat!!!!! My dishwasher use to do that leave food behind on the dishes I usually just rinse them a bit and put them in there so far it’s working for me lol!!!! I think with the dishes not getting cleaned properly in the dishwasher depends on how they are stacked coz I've had that happen too but not all the time so that's the only thing I can think of as to why it happens.
Sometimes honey the dishes won't come out clean if you got too much in there so maybe put half of what you normally put in there they'll get a lot cleaner they'll look a lot nicer and just do the other half a little bit later
I used to have an older dishwasher exactly like that one and I finally realized my dishes wouldn’t get clean when I packed it to full, especially the top rack!
I started hand washing my dishes two years ago and I keep up on my dishes so much better now. I hated prewashing then loading then needing to unload the dishwasher. I wash with hot water, blue dawn and a splash of bleach and I air dry on the counter. I feel like they are more thoroughly cleaned and no unloading a dishwasher!!

When is the last time you cleaned out your dishwashers filter? When mine starts not cleaning well, it usually needs to be cleaned out. It will be in the bottom of the dishwasher, usually it's round and you twist to pull it out.
I started once a month running a cycle with a bunch of baking soda and white vinegar (i don't measure) in the very bottom of my EMPTY dishwasher on hottest setting and so far it seems to help.....i also always end up using the "soak" cycle on hottest setting bcuz I feel it can only help clean the dishes, just like if I were soaking them in the sink.... And apparently they have filters that we are supposed to clean regularly that I had no idea about until recently 🤦♀️, but I'm not able to physically do all of that so until I get a plumber this is what Im doing lol. 😬

I hand wash and use the dishwasher as a drying rack, so counted are clear. I just leave the door open a little so they air dry.
Then i can wash dishes at different times, and then just put up once a day.

And when my dishwasher broke I would us the dishwasher as a drying rack lol I would open it up, pull out the racks and after I washed each dish I would put it in there to stack amd dry so I didn't have dishes all over my counter 🤣

Sometimes your dishwasher filter needs cleaning. You can enter the kind of dishwasher and find a UA-cam how to clean it. Those are pretty collards.

Also yesssssss girl our dishwasher does that too with not wanting to clean the dishes properly at times but I've just been hand washing all of ours & don't even use the dishwasher at all.

I do tatertot casserole, browned beef, cream of mushroom soup, can of milk, bag of frozen peas. Mix, top with tatertots and bake 350 til tots are brown. Simple but I love it. Yours looks good too. Add ricotta or cottage cheese and parmesan to spice it up a notch.
My dish washer has been doing the same thing with not cleaning them all the way😑 it drives me crazy lol but what I've been doing is making sure my plates are tilted/ slanted enough that the soap and water gets to both sides and for my bowls I've been putting them upside down completely so far that seems to be working pretty good hope this helps you!😁
It seems like the bowls are the worst on mine! I think what it is that they are too close together and there’s no space between them! And the filter was nasty lol

When we have dishes during the day, i make sure i put water in them to soak or soray them with sink sprayer before i load dishwasher in evening, after dinner rinses quickly load and wash..everything always comes out clean
I love collards. We use to grow our own for ourselves but people would stop by our house constantly wanting to buy some that we started a huge garden of them. But we haven’t done that in a couple years. You got me wanting to do it again. Great video also and the casserole looks delicious. Hey Sadie girl 💜💜
This was our first time growin them ourselves! We wanted mustards! We always have more than what we need for ourselves from the garden of everything we grow so we give it to friends and family. One year when we lived somewhere else, we had a veggie napper 🤣🤣 somebody was clearing us out while we slept at night. Bubba ended up getting so frustrated that he took the tiller to it & tore it all down haha.
Hey friend, I haven't had a dishwasher in 20 years, unless you count the hubby, all I have to do is leave them in the sink for 1/2 hour and he can't stand it🤣. I was thinking about adding cheese to it when I was making it but I never added cheese before, so I wanted to keep it the way I normally do it. I’m adding cheese next time tho 🤣🤣

I’m so behind and I have no idea if this has been mentioned…but I run hot water while I’m loading my dishwasher and use my scrub brush to get the stuck on food off before I put it in the dishwasher. I also have to check the drain from time to time. I have well water and I know I get slack for running water like I do….but it works for me and mine 💜💙 Also, I try load everything so that almost everything is facing the center of the washer as mush as possible.

Absolutely yummy definitely need to try it!!!! I grew up in casseroles collards fresh veggies and can’t leave out homemade desserts!!!! Yippeeeeee Skippy love to eat!!!!! My dishwasher use to do that leave food behind on the dishes I usually just rinse them a bit and put them in there so far it’s working for me lol!!!! I don’t plum wash them definitely defeats the purpose of a dishwasher you might try just rinsing just a little and see what happens!!!!! Well y’all have a blessed and beautiful evening!!!! I think with the dishes not getting cleaned properly in the dishwasher depends on how they are stacked coz I've had that happen too but not all the time so that's the only thing I can think of as to why it happens.

Sometimes honey the dishes won't come out clean if you got too much in there so maybe put half of what you normally put in there they'll get a lot cleaner they'll look a lot nicer and just do the other half a little bit later
I used to have an older dishwasher exactly like that one and I finally realized my dishes wouldn’t get clean when I packed it to full, especially the top rack!

I started hand washing my dishes two years ago and I keep up on my dishes so much better now. I hated prewashing then loading then needing to unload the dishwasher. I wash with hot water, blue dawn and a splash of bleach and I air dry on the counter. I feel like they are more thoroughly cleaned and no unloading a dishwasher!!
Have you ever reached in and cleaned the filter or drain think in your dishwasher? That may help

When is the last time you cleaned out your dishwashers filter? When mine starts not cleaning well, it usually needs to be cleaned out. It will be in the bottom of the dishwasher, usually it's round and you twist to pull it out.

I would lay the leaves on a cutting board and just slice it with a knife along the stem
I started once a month running a cycle with a bunch of baking soda and white vinegar (i don't measure) in the very bottom of my EMPTY dishwasher on hottest setting and so far it seems to help.....i also always end up using the "soak" cycle on hottest setting bcuz I feel it can only help clean the dishes, just like if I were soaking them in the sink.... And apparently they have filters that we are supposed to clean regularly that I had no idea about until recently 🤦♀️, but I'm not able to physically do all of that so until I get a plumber this is what Im doing lol. 😬
