My mother grew up during the depression and I always describe her as saving everything and the box it came in, I have realized as I've gotten older I have turned into my mother 😂😂😂 my daughter has too my mother helped me raise my daughter I was a single mother she was with me till she passed away, God bless
I don’t ever pay full price for clothes.. my husband said he has never seen anyone who can get a whole new closet of clothes for 20.00 lol… this past week I went to a thrift store near my cancer doctor and I found four 100 percent linen dresses for 2.00 each! And they fit perfect. Yes thank you!!!
With a mom raised during the Great Depression, I learned to be frugal. I don't call it cheap. I love repurposing things. I have craft boxes and knitting bins filled with little odds and ends. I wish our thrift stores had inexpensive items, but i live on Long Island in NY, so nothing like you have. Saving like this has allowed me to stop working at 57. Thanks for sharing your frugality.
Pausing at 4:13... not sure how good that will strain pots but it will be very useful when frying greasy/splashy things. That keeps grease from going all over the top of the stove, back wall behind the stove, all over yourself while cooking. Totally worth it❤
I bought a whole SET of Martha Stewart Heavy bottom Stainless Steel Pots & Pans with glass lids 15pcs. for $23 only a couple of the pans looked barely used. When my 19yr.old grandson moved out he took what he needed and left the rest. I kept the larger stock pots for my canning needs they were too big for his needs anyway. $23 are you kidding me, a STEAL for STEEL-- SWEET:)
I'm enjoying your videos so much. I'm a 79 yr old Grandma living in Minnesota. I love thrifting too and felt excited for you and your wonderful haul! I also love how sweet and helpful your daughters are. I'll be praying for you and baby and your family. ❤
I love thrifting! I rarely buy anything and pay full price. My girls and I love thrift stores and tag sales. My best find was a $145 leather cost for just $4. After we got home with it, there was a scarf, gloves and hat in the sleeves and pockets. 😊
I don’t think you are cheap I think you are smart. Each item you get is very nice. My most favorite and high end clothes, shoes, purses, quilts, bedding and accessories are from Good Will. They are older and still as nice as when I bought them! The prices are so much higher now. There are no prices around here as good as what you get which is sad. The prices are ridiculously high now. Anyway I’m glad you get good deals with a large family. I’m keeping you and your sweet baby in my prayers. I hope your back feels better soon. 🙏🏼❤️
I love that you are like me you look at something and say yep I get not only twine and ribbon but canning jars to boot!!!! And understand I’m the one that saves the twine off my tops of feed bags and keep it in a spool. I then use it to make cotton wicks for my candles
You are not cheap- Frugal is what I call it. That twine you can use in the greenhouse too. I just went on a trip to MN- I found so much at rummage sales, but I got a like new, huge cast iron pot in a gorgeous color blue for $15. I also found jeans and a pair of shorts for myself. I also scored 4 toddler chairs with trays for free because they were not clean. A little soapy water and elbow grease cleaned them right up. I got to bless a couple families with those! I also got 15 jelly jars for $2. Our car was so full that we stuffed every nook and cranny. What a blessing :) I love your finds. You never know what deals you will find :)
Sweet person who opened that Boggle game for you!! ❤ I love watching thrift store hauls!! I also love to thrift!!! ❤ Going tomorrow with one of my daughters to Salvation Army!! 😊hugs from Michigan!!❤
The good Lord certainly provides for and blesses your family in so many ways! The gingham dress for your 14 year old and the long sage green dress are beautiful. For as long as I can remember, I've never paid more than £5 (my budget never changed) for one item of clothing unless it was for essential warm waterproof outerwear, underwear or footwear (I had high arches and walked heavy on one heel). My Grandmother would buy my brother's and I our winter footwear up until we were earning our own money. She came through rationing during and after WW2 and she taught me to "make do and mend" and find multiple uses from one item, like yourself and the canning jars. I'd save everything I could see another use for in different crafts. She taught me to knit, sew, embroider and use a sewing machine. When clothes were past wearing, she would take off zips, catches and buttons and use them again. We used to laugh fondly at her collection of elastic that came from her old knickers but it always came in handy for something! I can no longer shop or craft but I really do get a lot of pleasure (and nostalgia) from watching your hauls and hearing about your family's abilities that few people their age range can do nowadays. You must be one very proud MommaBear. I've been watching your channel for about 6 months now and really feel like I'm visiting with good friends or as others say, UA-cam family. It truly brightens my day to see a notification for your latest video. Have a Blessed weekend ❤️🙏🏴
I am also a thrifter!! Went to 2 stores today. My best find recently was about 5 week....an electric pressure canner for(drum roll!) $6!!! I have canned some chicken chili and have lots more things to do. I so enjoy seeing your thrift store halls. I was a bit bummed you made us wait a day😅. Yes, the Lo
My daughter and I use to go to scrapbook retreats with friends and make scrapbooks for our kids - so much fun and such a great time with family and friends - a girls getaway and husbands usually watched the kids. Anyway, we brought all our craft supplies and got busy but my favorite way to enjoy myself was to go through the trash can and pick out useful things that were tossed. I then made a scrapbook with my buried treasure and gifted it to the first friend that said Ok that is really nice and amazing! It was so much fun to give it to someone who would use it and I had so much fun playing with my creativity. Super great retreats. Reusing things is one of my favorite challenges but it has to end up pretty or very useful or just meaningful. I was shocked when you said the price you paid - what an amazing find (treasure) and I know you will put it all to great use. Jute is what I called it - use to save the bailing twine on hay to tie up my tomatoes with it The big bowl is a wonderful and useful thing for so many ways..
My husband corrects me every time I say I'm cheap~ "No honey, YOU are fantastically frugal", which is just so kind & loving of him. He is even more thrilled than I am w/how much we save by shopping the secondary market~ every chance we get. =) *My latest & greatest thrift find has to be the massive, nearly new electric roaster I found at one of our local "free box/swap sites" in our little town. If you have something to leave for someone else, or find something you can use, that's it. Fun part is the inventory at these sites is always changing, so it's a surprise each time we stop to look. Everything from food to fishing gear, clothes, appliances, pavers, tools, furniture, artwork, toys, etc~ everything you'd find at a thrift store. We also have book boxes, which are painted wood cabinets on stilts, w/little weatherproof doors that also include other media, free for the taking or to drop off ours for the next person or family. It's a wonderful concept I love to share, since every community could benefit from this. We all take turns keeping things orderly & clean, & there's never been any issues w/vandalism or such. Our little desert town is about 5k residents, not counting surrounding, even more rural areas.Sammy in AZ

I agree with you about the prices of clothes. My daughter and I both by second hand clothes. She even buys my grandaughter clothes that way. She is able to find mostly brand new clothes at resale shops. Silly to pay full price for anything. Great finds.
NOthing wrong with buying used. Heck even if you don't have any kids much less 14 1/2. Games and puzzles were a big one for me. Yard sale clothes and whatnot. Lady you go. ❤❤
You are so smart..Good price on jars& stuff..utilize it all.😊.I have a huge stainless bowl& alot of all sizes& pans as well. I used them alot at picnics& such.👍🌻🌴
Beautiful deals!! I don't like buying new clothes off the store rack either, unless that rack has a big clearance sign above it😊 unfortunately, lately, when I check out most store clearance prices, they are at a higher price then, let's say 3 1/2 years ago. I did get off the mountain a few weeks ago to spend a day going to flea markets and lawn sales. First time in a long time. I picked up a few Christmas gifts and a few scores for me. 2 smaller stock pots with lids, a dollar a piece and a blueberry rake!!! Older metal one in perfect condition. $10. Raking blueberries on top of the mountain next summer will be glorious!! Oh, and those boxes of snacks you got.....how wonderful!! Truly a blessing for you and your family.❤❤
To me Thrifting is fun& exciting..you never know what you will find. My friend& i are going next Saturday😊. I have not been in 3 months. You got a great haul..I love the dresses.I can't believe how much you got..whew!! Good job.
😊 Never would make fun of you saving everything! I save EVERYTHING! Growing up in a large family, we saved it all, still do! I have l learned when you eventually get rid of something, you need it😊. God Bless!
I’m knitting while I watch you!, working on a cardigan for fall. I love love the trill of the hunt. Used to shop at thrift shops for my 6 kiddos. Found some great stuff!
That is some wonderful thrift store finds. I am 65 yrs young and my grown daughters still go thrifting with me. we live in central Texas. So we all loaded up on labor day at 5:30am to get in first because they run 50% off the whole store on holidays. Now I do not need a lot for darn sure so I shop for 9 grandkids and 14 great grandkids. Yes we have a lot of girls. Lol So you keep doing what works for your family.. No Shame in that. God Bless you and family and I àm praying for you and baby,
I shop yard sales, thrift stores, church sales, those new "bins" places with the returns. I have taught my own children to shop smarter- they all love the hunt and I've honestly never had a child ask for anything at the mall. Even when they are shopping for school clothes they turn their noses to the "new" clothes and will beg to go thrifting. I found Plato's Closet sells better jeans that last longer and they sell the brands you see the teens wanting❤. We also intentionally shop this way. I save money for other things (like more livestock and coops and such) and we are keeping clothing out of the landfills. What do you do with clothing that has been worn out? Now I am on a quest to find alternative uses for still useable material ❤
Fantastic thrift haul love the clothes and the Instapot and clothes hamper this week I got a new coffee pot for $3.00 I was so excited 😊 God Bless You ❤ BIG HUGS 💓😊
Oh my gosh...I need to start looking for more. I live right across the street from one, but I don't buy electronics, kitchenware because I am afraid they will be defective. I do not have any kids at home, but I absolutely love thrifting. I love going to garage sales as well. I love watching your videos. Thank you for being so transparent.
Hi. New to your channel and enjoying following your new baby journey. As for your trifting I would have enjoyed seeing the prices you paid. I'm in Canada and our thrift stores are a little prices. Thank you and good luck
I think I did mention most the prices. It really depends on the thrift store but I think you can find good deals even at higher priced stores. Look for discount color tags and such. Ask if there is a discount rack.
I realized many years ago thrifting is the way to go. Clothes are so expensive. We buy all second hand and alot or time they are brand new. I use to get so mad I would pay full price for a shirt and a week later it was 75% off in the sale area. Thats when I stopped. Plus its super fun finding amazing deals at thrift stores. Way more rewarding than spending full price and only getting 1 or 2 items. Nothing wrong with how you do things. Actually more people should and our Country wouldnt be in the shape its in now.
Hi, i shop and buy the same way, Even in the supermarket if its not on sale i will wait until it is. And i always check.the throw out meat and buy up big. Being farmers we have freezers. Wishing you well with new baby. Looking forward to seeing him. From country Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
That brown rope, I believe is called Jute, but I could be wrong. Thank you for sharing. You are wicked awesome when it comes to thrifting. My husband likes going to used clothing stores to purchase stuff. You can get stuff cheaper. Thanks again for sharing your haul.
I am with you on that! You have an amazing family, it’s so amazing to have a large family, I hope that everything goes well with your back appointment 🫶🏻🇨🇦
I giggled when you were describing the weather. One day it's hot as heck the next it's hoodie weather.. as someone just across the boarder in New Brunswick.. You are so right about that..
GREAT JOB MOMMA. I started thrift stop shopping when my children were small out of necessity. It's been 40 years and still going strong, however were I live after covid hit most of the prices have doubled😢. Still search for the best prices. Last month I went to a wedding and we were asked to dress a certain way and I wasn't going to pay alot for a evening dress. God blessed me with not only one dress but two and even though I had to buy my shoes it was worth it. Don't let anyone change how you care for your family.
Hello mama bear and family! Great haul! We love thrifting and I agree with your daughter even if I was a millionaire I'd still go thrifting. My sister and I go we love a good deal. I'm new to your channel came across it not long ago. The clothes are really nice. Love your channel. I heard you say your kids love pen pals what about you? I would love a pen pal. I live in Ohio. Take care and praying for your new baby and your family ❤❤
It's called Jute twine. I was thinking you could use it to tie around your soap and then you said it lol. Also if your girls makes the pot holders. Like you said so many different things it can be used for. I would have gotten them as well. Thanks for sharing!!
I can’t believe how rude people can be.. sorry that you have to endure mean comments.. I love getting deals on anything! Means I can spend some place else… You are being a good steward with your money! You did great! Continued prayers for little man!
Got to the bit with the jars, oh my exactly what I'd do. I love crafting and would use the ribbon and hessian/ burlap or jute for something else. Sorry for 2 comments but i got excited. X
Tea cups. I find the best tea cups! I look for tea cups, wood shelves and peg strips, skirts and cardigans. Oh, and bonus, my thrift store has senior citizens day and i get 30 percent off. If i didnt get that discount i dont think i would go.
A nice lot of clothes. I'd wear them too. In uk we call them charity shops so where you'd find me. I always donate mine to them. Good find for your instant pot. X
I grew up dressed in yard sale items that was before so many thrift stores I was born in 1969 . I love thrifting ! 90 percent of my clothes are thrifted or clearance items !
yes! unless someone gifted them to us, all our kids clothes for our son are used from thrift stores, or put out for free (and a lot of the thrift stores near us are giving things away for free or very nearly free because there is so much of it!) most of ours are as well, though sometimes my husband gets pants from family dollar or target when we need to restock - hard to find mens and boys pants in good quality used! we buy underclothes and socks and occasional shoes new. but I can't imagine doing this any differently if we had more money, it's so much more of a joy to find things this way and know that you're using what is already out there while putting your finances elsewhere!!
Every time you post clothing hauls, I think, "geeze, how many clothes do they need?" And then I remember you have 14 people you buy clothing for. I'm buying for half that and get overwhelmed by how many clothes we have. Even with capsule wardrobes! 😂
I notice that a lot of young people are really into thrifting now. My daughters and their friends go out thrifting together all the time as a fun day out. They love it and come home with expensive wool sweaters and higher end clothing that we would never want to pay full price for.
My mother grew up during the depression and I always describe her as saving everything and the box it came in, I have realized as I've gotten older I have turned into my mother 😂😂😂 my daughter has too my mother helped me raise my daughter I was a single mother she was with me till she passed away, God bless

Now I do not need a lot for darn sure so I shop for 9 grandkids and 14 great grandkids. Yes we have a lot of girls. Lol So you keep doing what works for your family.. No Shame in that. God Bless you and family and I àm praying for you and baby,
How fun to go with your daughters!
Great way to live and teach your children!
I am a very frugal person ,and i have to say you are a Good thrifter .money is tight nowadays and finding clothing for the kids is awesome .❤
Thanks for sharing!!
Wow what a thrifty haul! I love the fact you will repurpose the twine and ribbon from the jars!
Thank you! 😊
Fantastic thrift haul love the clothes and the Instapot and clothes hamper this week I got a new coffee pot for $3.00 I was so excited 😊 God Bless You ❤ BIG HUGS 💓😊
Thank you! Hugs right back!
You can usually ask to plug items in. I did with the instant pot. Sal army has a designated plug with a sign on it.
Ask if there is a discount rack.
awesome haul! I have always shopped garage sales and thrift stores. who likes wasting money? Have a blessed day! :)
Not me :)
Love a good thrift store deal! Last week I got a dash waffle maker that retails for $40 for $3. So excited about it. And it works perfectly.
Great DEAL!
Super cute dress up scrubs, kids use such imagination playing dress up
They love them!
I LOVEEEEEEEEE THRIFT STORES. I do not like to pay full price. Good job, Mama Bear.
Never boring!! I love your hauls!!! ❤
Thank you!😊
I just love watching all of your thrift store hauls, you can get some really good buys!!! ❤😊❤
I think so too! Thank you!
Hi, i shop and buy the same way,
Even in the supermarket if its not on sale i will wait until it is.
And i always check.the throw out meat and buy up big.
Being farmers we have freezers.
Wishing you well with new baby.
Looking forward to seeing him.

Thank you so much!!
Love your thinking I do the same my children and grandchildren laugh at me ❤
I giggled when you were describing the weather. One day it's hot as heck the next it's hoodie weather.. as someone just across the boarder in New Brunswick.. You are so right about that..
Hot next week again 😂
My best this month was a brand new with tags ladies Under Armor hoodie for $3 bucks!
I love to thrift shop. When my daughter was a baby she lived in yard sale clothes because she grew so fast.
That’s amazing! So glad you were able to get a dress for the wedding!
At this point I just don’t have too much time to pen pal but maybe in the future. I used to a few years ago.
Love your thrift haul and I enjoy watching you can everything
Thank you so much!!
It's called Jute twine. I was thinking you could use it to tie around your soap and then you said it lol. Also if your girls makes the pot holders. Like you said so many different things it can be used for. I would have gotten them as well. Thanks for sharing!!
Yes thats it! Funny how we draw a blank at times. Thank you!
I also shop at those stores. Why not! Good going!!🇨🇦
I’ve been to a thrift store only a couple times but I think it’s time to go to one. Great haul. Have a great weekend.
Thank you! You too!
I can’t believe how rude people can be.. sorry that you have to endure mean comments.. I love getting deals on anything! Means I can spend some place else… You are being a good steward with your money! You did great! Continued prayers for little man!
Thank you!
Do you have any baby clothes yet?
Nice haul we usually go to once upon a child in our state for the kids clothes
We used to go there in MA none up here but I love how you can trade in the old and get a credit!
Those power snacks are a huge blessing ❤❤❤
Yes they are!
I’m new to the page . How do you know already the baby will be in the NICU ?
You and your family are amazing.
Aw thank you!
Snacks! As you just said, when you are in need, God will provide! Amen! ❤
So true!
Got to the bit with the jars, oh my exactly what I'd do. I love crafting and would use the ribbon and hessian/ burlap or jute for something else. Sorry for 2 comments but i got excited. X
lol that’s ok I was super excited as well!
I'm sure that you can use the ribbon and jute for art projects.
That was an awesome find.
Yes! Thank you!
Tea cups. I find the best tea cups! I look for tea cups, wood shelves and peg strips, skirts and cardigans. Oh, and bonus, my thrift store has senior citizens day and i get 30 percent off. If i didnt get that discount i dont think i would go.
Nice!
Heat from a hair dryer
Warms and loosens adhesives on those glass jars .Lyatt Sandee from Ohio. 💜💜🙏🌷🌷😊
Good to know. I suppose I would need a hair dryer 😂.
That jute on those canning jars would be great to make string art with.
I know that you can dye that jute to different colors also
Interesting I didn’t know you could dye it.
God is so good !!!!!!! Many prayers and blessings to you and family
Yes He is!
Great haul..
Thanks!
Girl, you ROCKED that thrift store! I can't believe the instant pot was $5! 😮
Thanks!😊
A nice lot of clothes. I'd wear them too. In uk we call them charity shops so where you'd find me. I always donate mine to them. Good find for your instant pot. X
Love that!
Wow!! That’s awesome!
I buy almost everything second hand as well!! 😊
Yay! For the referral for your back! ❤you got lots of good stuff I love thrifting
Yes! Thank you!
that's a amazing deal. wish I could find a good thrift store like that
Love thiifting! Buy used save the difference or spend it on some other need ❤ great deal on the insta pot
I couldnt agree more!
I grew up dressed in yard sale items that was before so many thrift stores I was born in 1969 . I love thrifting ! 90 percent of my clothes are thrifted or clearance items !
Thanks for sharing!!
yes! unless someone gifted them to us, all our kids clothes for our son are used from thrift stores, or put out for free (and a lot of the thrift stores near us are giving things away for free or very nearly free because there is so much of it!) most of ours are as well, though sometimes my husband gets pants from family dollar or target when we need to restock - hard to find mens and boys pants in good quality used! we buy underclothes and socks and occasional shoes new. but I can't imagine doing this any differently if we had more money, it's so much more of a joy to find things this way and know that you're using what is already out there while putting your finances elsewhere!!
Yes boys can be challenging!
Every time you post clothing hauls, I think, "geeze, how many clothes do they need?" And then I remember you have 14 people you buy clothing for. I'm buying for half that and get overwhelmed by how many clothes we have. Even with capsule wardrobes! 😂
I remember with my kids- they out grew clothes so fast. My 2 sons both changed shoe size 4 times during 1 school year!
Yes they honestly only have about 10 or less outfits per season.
@@mommabear2many I don't know how you manage it all!
Super deals, great job!
I notice that a lot of young people are really into thrifting now. My daughters and their friends go out thrifting together all the time as a fun day out. They love it and come home with expensive wool sweaters and higher end clothing that we would never want to pay full price for.
I would never get into debt there nothing wrong buying clothes other stuff you are very good😅
Yes jute... maybe macrame some plant hangers or wall hangings
Sweet little girls!!! 💕
