Sometimes when you have someone as wise and knowledgeable as Rabbi Shapiro, you just have to step back and give them space to speak which is what has been done so beautifully here. Too many interviewers nowdays interrupt their guests which obstructs the flow of knowledge. Whenever I listen to Rabbi Shapiro, I always learn something new whether it be about Judaism, Israel or Zionism. I hope you bring him back in the future.

What’s becoming so obvious to people now is that colonialism has never ended just rebranded with different terms. From Natives indigenous people being called “savages” in the old days to now being called “terrorist” by neocolonialists who are neoliberals, neoconservatives, and zionist.
      1) Savages is now “terrorist”
      2) Civilizing them is now “bringing them democracy”
      3) Colonies is now “territories”
We can all see Israel is a colonial project being supported by former and current colonials such as U.S, UK, and others who also control territories of indigenous natives in Caribbean Islands, Pacific Islands, Hawaii, and many more.
The liberation of Palestine will definitely give RISE to many indigenous natives around the world to free themselves from western domination. This is the underlying ripple effect that the U.S government and its puppet allies don’t want to happen

@thinkbeforeyoutype7106 actually the indigenous people of that land are the "people of Israel" aka the Jews. When archeologists dig in "the west bank" aka "Judea" they find Jewish and Hebrew artifacts never anything Palestinian, so I don't see why you completely fine with erasing their rights.

@@TheWaveSon The Jews that Colonised and continue to colonise Palestine are not the descendants of the Ancient Israelites and therefore have as much claim to being indigenous to Palestine as a Chinese man in Shanghai does.
And Ironically it is the Palestinians who are genetically the closest to the ancient Israelites, the Canaanites as well as the Natufian Farmers who inhabited the land for thousands upon thousands of years.
And the even more ironic thing is that the early Zionist academics and Politicians like David Ben Gurion and Yitzhak Ben Zvi were well aware of this fact as they compiled their data and research into a Book they titled "Erez Israel in the past and Present"
They believed in fact, that there was no forced expulsions during the Rules of Titus and Hadrian and the Ancient Israelites were able to retain their land, Some would convert to Christianity during the rule of the Roman Empire and later the Byzantine Empire and after the Arab Caliphates conquered and ruled the land a large majority converted to Islam.
The Arabs ruled for a long time and therefore a process of Arabisation occured where native languages were phased out and replaced with Arabic. Many native communities did so because speaking Arabic offered economic opportunities and weren't forced.
This theory that had a lot of historical evidence would only be proven as factual by modern genetic testing which shows Palestinian Christians and Muslims as having some of the highest genetic similarities with Ancient Israelites (80-90%).
Whereas almost all diasporic jews (minus Iraqi and Kurdish Jews) have little genetic relatability to the ancient israelites standing at the range of 20-40%. With Mizrahi Jews of North Africa having a slightly higher range in the 40-50% range (But still is dwarfed in comparison to the Palestinian similarity).
Some Jewish communities have even lower genetic relatability to the ancient Israelites like the Yemeni Jews. Yemeni Jews have a ridiculously low similarity with Ancient Israelite DNA samples only standing at 16.2% whereas they have a considerably higher similarity with modern Arabian samples at 80%.
This matches historical accounts of the Himyar King Tubba Abu Karib As'ad converting to Judaism after his failed invasion of the Hejaz when he fell ill and was cured by Jewish doctors in Medina. And later the Himyar King Dhu Nawas declared it the state religion and many Yemeni Arabs converted.
And Plaestine is a geographical reference, it doesn't refer to a specific ethnic group but the inhabitants of that region. Like how there doesn't need to be ethnic Scandinavians for there to be Scandinavia or ethnic Iberians for there to be Iberia.

Zionists have already tried to built a first Jewish state in Crimea, modern Ukraine in 1930. As the result, the original Turkish Crimean population was forcibly banned to Central Asia by Stalin, in ONE DAY! Just imagine! Just to make place for jews who where installing over there. But later Soviet Union renounced to give Crimea to Jews, and gave a land in Siberia instead. That first Jewish Autonomous Republic of Birobidjan in the Russian Federation still exists to this day. Yiddish is the national language. Birobidjan is made 14 years before Israel. Right now there are TWO Jewish states : Birobidjan and Israel. So zionist propaganda about Israel being the only Jewish state is a complete lie!

The distinction between a citizen and a national is very interesting, because that's how it used to be, in Canada for example. But when the Jews arrived, at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, they insisted on national equality with the founding peoples of the country, ignoring the Constitution erected for their autonomy and perpetuation; and the Jews said, we are British subjects; because there was no Canadian citizenship then. Everyone was a British subject. But the founding ethnic majorities, who knew they were the “nationals”, said, “No, you can't have public law status, there's no ‘nation within a nation’, it's our nation, we're the nationals”. This became the basis for deliberate misunderstandings and harassment of the founding peoples as bigots and xenophobes. But it's true: the founding peoples of British North America were the nationals. Their ancestors pioneered the country for a few hundred years. It was their culture and institutions. No other ethnic group arriving later had the blood and soil of the founding groups, but they could acquire them if they merged with the founding peoples. The Jews refused to merge. At the end of the 19th century, there was a slogan: “Canada for Canadians”. It reappeared in the early 1930s. Apparently, in Israel, the constiution says "Israel is a Jewish state". There's no difference in saying "Canada for Canadians", but Jewish immigrants refused to accept it.

And the Land of Israel was settled in a way that did not involve the legal construct of "citizenship", which is not found in halacha to my knowledge. The moderator(s) get a medal and a raise!
And for the lucky few who might see this comment before it disappears: 1. Yes, that was sarcasm. 2. In the unlikely case you're just generally new to the topic: the things he is stating as facts, are not viewed as facts by the vast majority of us, Jews. Just like he considers most Jews' interpretation of our history and our Holy Law (the Torah) to be heresy, many of us consider his interpretation to be heresy. It might be obvious from what I'm writing what my beliefs are. But I'm really just trying to point out that what you're hearing is not the whole story, it's one particular take on the story, and leave my particular beliefs out of this.

This was a great attempt at trying to explain an inherently confused and confusing situation. That there is no explanation of terms or descriptions of participants makes it difficult to create laws or enforce rules and protocols. It is a hodge podge of unknowns. I would call this a piece of land where a cult took refuge. It appears they wanted a Zionist state and had intention of making it a Zionist-only state. They did not want to say it, but that sounds like the intent. If the military/militancy defines your values, those not in agreement will never have inclusion. A state with so many seclusions and so many exclusions will have a difficult time remaining a state. I have asked what is a Jew. I have never gotten an answer. If it is a Jewish state, should you not describe what is a Jew? How do you maintain a state where only certain people are allowed to enter based on bizarre and arbitrary reasons. The state is simply a military base. They made no plans for anything but the military. They do not know how to build a country. The religions within are not formally recognized as participants in the state making Zionism the only party, the only mission, the only religion, the only priority. I am a victim of the Zionist state. I have been for 50 years. I was involved in a miracle that lead me to be followed by the CIA. I was handed to a contractor who had ties to Zionists. I have been drowned, cut, tortured to bring out the Messiah. My teeth are pulled out. I am repeatedly drugged and sexually assaultedmy hair is almost gone. I have metal plates that keep me from walking away. My truck was filled with my things and driven off of a mountain. I have contacted my government hundreds of times. I have had no one speak to me. Someone tried to kill my babies when they were born. They got the meaning of the miracle all wrong.

Ok so UA-cam agrees that Northern Ireland is a result of a settler colonial situation within Ireland. Happened within different plantations within Ireland
    Would UA-cam agree with that?
    Because its history and facts.
Laois Offaly plantation, Munster plantation, Ulster plantation and then Cromwellian plantation?
Would UA-cam agree with that? Because it's history, which makes it not something you can agree or disagree with
So to add to that, the Rabbi's point that Northern Ireland is an ethno state re its foundation is not really like what happened in Israel.
    Elements are the same.
    Can UA-cam agree with that

I would like to ask, if Jews and Israelis are not the same thing, why then has the Sephardic synagogue in Montreal held illegal auctions this year for stolen Palestinian land? And why has the Ashkenazi Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue in wealthy Westmount bordering Montreal, entertained Israeli government officials, while protesters outside waved Palestinian flags? These different Jewish groups appear to believe they have something in common with Israel. And historically speaking, over the decades, why have local Jewish schools and communities held an annual “March to Israel” waving Israeli flags? The first time I saw one of these marches was around 1985. I was outraged that people living in Canada, benefitting from this country, supported a foreign country to such an extent they planned a “march” in that direction. My feeling was, if you’re going to march to Israel, keep going, and stay there. Another anecdote. I used to run a little poetry magazine. I published the work of a Jewish fellow, a professor in Ottawa, who made a big deal out of his annual pilgrimmage to “Jerusalem” in “Israel”. All I have ever seen and heard of local Jews is that they identify with Israel.

Does Rabbi Shapiro's definitions and conceptions of a state for Israelis require the state to be some form of democratic, representative government. ( I gather his view holds that would be only reasonable form of a government, though it would place both ethnic and religious Jews in a political numerical minority for foreseeable future.)
In the event that sufficient political expression by Israeli citizens establish a democratic government, starting in present location, withing the existing boundaries with neighboring countries, would this be supported by Rabbi Shapiro?
That is another way of asking if shared nationhood and shared citizenship with Palestinians seems like a realistic goal? Would the loss of numerical control of such a government, be a safe and intelligent possible way to shift the operation of government in the territory of Israel? (Would die-hard "Israeli settlers" become more violent, and a permanent threat to safety of other citizens - both Israeli and Palestinians?)
Does Rabbi Shapiro only want his analysis to be recognized, or does he want there to be a peaceful solution that recognizes the international obligation for state for Israelis, based on known historic threats to people identifying as "Jewish", whatever they believe that means, and regardless of what the Rabbi specifies as "Jewish"?
Rabbi Shapiro's analysis seems to be primarily negative or reductive in terms of his view of the meaning of "Jewish" and "Israeli", so I want to know if he has any positive vision for a safe, peaceful coexistence of Jews within the current foreign borders of the territory of Israel. (presumably with equal rights of Palestinians, including freedom of domestic travel, freedom to own and bequeath real property (land, real estate), and equal right to vote and have representatives in Knesset.).
Does Rabbi Shapiro hold to the most Hawkish view of Palestinians, that there exists too much of a known threat from other governments, such as Iran, Yemen or other nations hostile to Israel, up to today, December 2024, that any such recognition of equal rights and equal citizenship status of Palestinians is only a slow, but inevitable delay of violence and aggression against all Jews? Would this be true, and unsafe even for Jews who want equal rights for Palestinians?
How does Rabbi Shapiro suggest peaceful lives for all peoples, religions currently present in Israel? I fear his comfort of viewing from afar, in the safe conditions he explicitly acknowledges, suggests he might say, "Give up that land now, Jews. Come get a nice place in Florida."

I'll need to look to find or edit some shorter clips of this rabbi and others (I also find that r°bbi dovid weiss makes some of the best especially clipable, concise secular arguments against is°°°). from this talk or others of r°bbi shapiro, I'll focus on the explanations of how z°°°ism from its inception was an adoption of antis°°°°ism, not merely in collaborating with ASites who wanted to expel °°°s from europe, but also in defining that °°°s even are nation, and even further, adopting AS stereotypes, condemning °°ws for their perceived nature, blaming them for their own persecution (the later isr°°°i slur denoting weak passivity, calling h- survivors "soap", sabon, based on the myth of d°°th camps producing soap, is one of the most AS words I have ever heard of), and seeking a (transformational) form of eradication of that old °°° that the ASites wanted gone (as I like to say: is°°° is the british version of the madagascar plan). I suppose I'll need to especially collect some jabotinsky quotes.
listening to this all the way through has greatly enhanced my understanding of how z°°°ism was already firmly rooted as a form of collective n°rc°ss°sm with the old AS persecution as a preexisting n°rc°ss°st°c injury, that was already the main or only form of z- even before the n°z°s cemented it by providing the z°°°ists with a practically globally recognised certificate of v°ct°mh°°d. (I'm not calling into question the common historical understanding of the h-, just saying that is°°°° uses it as the ultimate v°ct°mh°°d status, intended to last forever)

You need to be honest and tell them the Masoretes altered their text centuries after the earlier and more correct Septuagint and dead sea scrolls which both say ...
When the most high divided the nations according to the bene ha Elohim Yahweh's ALLOTTED INHERITANCE WAS JACOB meaning supplantor.
    Jacob - Issac - Ab - RA - Ham
There are no chosen ones and your books are full of psychological projection of your own shortcomings.
You need to heal yourselves as a people and learn the eternal Divine character of virtue and separate them from their excess and deficit vices.
No they aren't subjective or culturally relevant.
They refer to the proportionate to generating wholesome states via cause and effect (you might observe we live in a cause and effect reality)
As opposed to the unwholesome excess and deficits
Charity has spendthrift (excess) and greed (deficit)
    Humility has diffidence and pride
    Mercy has pandering and viciousness
    Kindness has cloying and meanness
    Obedience has conformist or disobedient
    Equanimity has indifference and reactivity
    Etc etc.
They take up all our speech, intentions, deeds, mindset, information processing and view forming etc
We all have the power to discern those and obey them directly, making rules ONLY out of the virtues and NO vice.
We have the same rights and responsibilities. Stop exulting yourselves supplantor and start exulting the eternal Divine Character.

Why didn't you study them directly then to see which, if any book was actually congruent with what the Divinity emanated into existence as modes of accord or discord.
All the world religions made rules that blend the two polarities together.
