Dulf Nordensvärd Hi:) Anyone ever tried the Ripped Muscle Factor (do search on google)? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my co-worker build lots of insane muscle quick.
Fn funny. Very detailed. Very informative. that's y I like to watch buff dudes very descriptive on every exercises. Keep up the good. Also where can I get those niftey t shirts.
I don't know what I appreciate more.....the chuckle I get out of the awesome dialogue, or the great exercise advice. Thank you Buff Dudes!!! Thank you!!
Short, nothing but useful information and lighthearted. Better than 98% of the other "Buff channels" on youtube. And excellent editing! (I suspect the buff dudes are buff IT/media guys?)
i need to watch this lol i neglect legs like i neglect my gf, ignore them until they disappear. BROSCIENCE!!! anyways love this video but not many people care about legs (the views) lol
Been waiting far too long to find a good channel with good information as well as detailed exercises and movements! Brilliant! And I absolutely love the intro!... LEGS.
What kind of rep rang should a skinny guy do to really bulk up his legs? I usually alternated between low reps (Max 5) and High reps (12) when doing squats.
6-8. But sure you get "nice and deep like". If you can't get deep enough, do stretches. It's much better to get lower with a lower weight that half rep with a high weight.
MadCowMenton 8 - 12 is considered the hypertrophy rep range, but if you would like to see strength and size quick, we would recommend trying out a good 5x5 program. We have a video on a simple but effective 5x5 program.
Buff Dudes For the last couple of months I have been doing 9-11 sets of sqauts in the 7-15 rep range. I do this only once a week. What is your opinion on this?
Paul D what do you think?? To build your legs propperly you need to mix things up. I do legs 2 times a week and make 2 routines. Squats are in both because its the most important one and do 4 set of 10-12 reps. If i go heavy 8-10 reps. With just squats only you cant develop them the way you like. I have been doing fitness for over 15 years. Just use this guys routine and ad some other excercises and make it a 3 to 4 sets 10-12 reps workout. But if youre not feeding youre body with good nutricions and alot of protein youre just breaking off youre muscles. So eat wel train hard and rest wel. Drink alot of water 2. 2-3 liters a day. Dont feed youre body with crap like junkfood and beer etc. Good luck 👍
I've recently starting doing these a lot more than usual & I see the difference in my thighs, they're getting bulkier & starting to show more veins. Love this exercise.
Try using the plantar flexion (heels elevated with a 2 - 3 inch block of wood or use a 10 pound plate) when doing squats, this while help put more stress on the quads. Also super set sissy squats between sets. Incorporate heavy legs extensions as well. Hope this helped!
Hi unholy, I'd recommend doing squats with at least a 45lb plate on each side. As long as you're not eating a surplus amount of calories every day and lifting heavy weight (315+) you should be fine.
You guys are hilarious yet still very informative. I'm very impressed by the knowledge you guys bring to the table which isn't bro science. I have this much more respect for you because you put in ATG squats and not quarter squats, you do almost all free weights with the exception of the leg press, and you actually name all the muscle parts. Great vids. Can't wait for more.
Dudes... DOMS. Do you experience this? I dread leg days because I know I'm going to experience near crippling DOMS for several days afterwards. I type this as I sit in bed, dealing with day two of DOMS which is worse than yesterday, dreading having to get up and get my day started. How do I prevent this? This is seriously not normal.
Dude I'm right there with you... still recovering from last weeks leg day, and here we go again today. Not to mention I feel about as strong as my 2 yr old since I neglect my legs.
greg stepp I wouldn't work legs again until the pain goes away. No way you are recovered. Do some cardio instead to get the blood flowing through those muscles. I worked legs yesterday and so far so good today. Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Thanks. I bought one shortly after that post and it definitely helped. Fortunately it seems that the worst is behind me. Now I get the feel good like I worked them soreness instead of the debilitating soreness.
Tommy Blanton If you train legs often enough it's not bad at all. Having terrible crippling DOS is a sign you don't train legs ENOUGH not saying you don't at all just saying maybe more training should be done than 1 day a week if that's the case.
You guys are awesome to take tips from, advice, and form. Normally training tip videos are boring, but you guys make it Hilarious and dont over do it. Keep it up, I dig these workouts guys.
I've been practising them for a few weeks now and they've gone up a lot. I can go super deep and still retain solid form. I really think it puts great emphasis on the quads. I'm gunna keep doing them :)
+Moezph. That's awesome to hear! A lot of people focus on the back squad a lot and don't like doing front squats do to the uncomfortability of the bar or not knowing exactly where to place it and hurting themselves.
glad to hear it, for a long time I was nervous to do front squats, but I swallowed my pride and started working them in and now I'm front squatting 225 on a good day. So keep pounding!
Sam sult 18*20kg = 360kg * 2.2 (2.2lbs per Kg) = 792. I did do the maths correctly. So If I included the other 4 plates it would be 968kg. Also a 20kg isn't 45lbs in technically 44 but you Americans can't seem to grasp the Metric System. Hope that helps
Definitely an exercise they should highlight as high risk. They seem to like it but researching others experience seems to indicate that it is an injury machine of an exercise, hah.
i would really want to have a lecture on how often you can train diffrent muscle groups, and on how manny reps and so on. Keep upp the good job you are great
+Да Не Wrong. You'll get a big ass before big legs. Impressive legs will never come from just squatting. And you're gonna have zero calfs unless you're fat.

I like the last exercise with the press, i´ll be doint it today with that form, I try no to go down too much, some ppl say its better to go all the way down but I stay with buff dudes who seem to know their stuff better
I think you just saved me a lot of hurt. I stopped leg pressing a few weeks ago. Couldn't figure what I was doing wrong. Seems I was going to deep according to your advise. Think i'll drop some weight an rework on my form. Thanks for making these videos.
I have to say i have brought barbell walking lunges back into my leg workouts and they are now one of my favorites to finish off my leg workouts killer burn
Buffdudes, could you please make a video about excercises targeting the VL (Vastus Lateralis) aka Quadsweep? Everybody makes video's about the teardrop, but haven't seen a video primarily about the VL. So if you could please make one. Great video's btw! Always good, straight forward advice. Thumbs up so they can see!!

mjss1980NL well, you really only need squats for big legs :D
but if you want big legs fast, you need to mix things up, i agree

He was leg pressing 900 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was 9 plates a side which is 360kg or 790lbs
Do the correct math 18 * 45= 810 and he also has 4 plates on top which piles to 1035lb

And I say that because if you go to an American gym and one asks you how much is that? You don't say technically
