if you don't hold the button u can have a few Adjustment points if you just click once quickly on either. got the same cannon on my Subie. goated muffler.
I just did a muffler delete on my XV20 Camry and, yeah, I'd like one of these lol. I'm considering fabricating my own with the old muffler and gutting it, then making a sliding door you can move from underneath or something, Idk, as long as it looks stock lol
Good stuff Rex, best of both worlds that VAREX Remote muffler. Keep up good work. As for lachlan's Silvia maybe a future project (Where funds permitted to do a RB25DET engine swap) ... He could then keep up and give your chaser a run for your money. Anyways keep grinding love your work 👍
@@RexH Indeed it would. Btw is his SR20 engine in the Silvia matching numbers with the VIN ? If original motor just do addons and aesthetics and enjoy the car ...😊
@Totenkopf_88 what the hell are you talking about? The number of RB S chassis outweighs the number of SR R chassis tenfold. Even JZ swapped S chassis outweigh SR swapped R chassis.
@@michaelng8882 I had a look and it looks like there is a 60kg diff between RB25DET and SR20DET (260kg and 180kg respectively). I don't think 60kg would greatly affect the balance of the car.
6:11 I know it was weeks ago but I missed this video hehe Woulda been a very quick job to just run a cable back there to provide power...or relocate the battery to the boot/trunk ;) Y'know, a nice chunky high current cable in case you wanna put any high power stuff back there like amps or something haha
damn I just bought an na supra and it came with a varex exhaust and the owner told me this little button in the console would open and close it didn't know it needed a remote to work :(
Because you have to keep your finger on the button to open/close it, does that mean you can close or open it partially so it's only as loud as you want it to be?
Dose boi, needs some Kelford 260/266 cams to get that low end torque ;) Kelford #1, i run them in everything but of course over the last 15 years have ran JDM cams but nowadays its a price tag for a brand, Kelford is no doubt the best cam on the market,
Also for you're followers you can go Varex Muffler or you can go a AES Super Duty Dump valve Which can be adapted to any part of your exhaust alot more sneaky than varex though my Evo 3 / R32 both run a Varex AES defs a better idea cops know about Varex,
1:02 that's just rev matching, not double clutching. Clutch in, shift to neutral, clutch out, rev match, clutch in, change gear, clutch out (that's double clutching)
How much was the Silvia? The cheapest around here is 11k in euro. (Also, I'd make that valve automatic. Above like 4 or 5k it should open automatically. In places where the noise matters you don't rev it that high, or at least there is no reason to rev it high in your neighborhood.)
love from NSW keen to see the silvia build.
S15 is one of my dream cars
Agreed sr20 powwaaaaa!!!!
@@yozuraaa6402 I'd want a responsive SR, Garrett G25 on off switch-like-acceleration boost, big power band of torque.
1JZ hands down one of the best sounding engines out there

Amazing, such a difference. Would be nice on longer trips closed, but fun, nice sound and good performance when open.
Good job and nice work 9\10😄😄😄
Cheers my guy!! I need to get another 10 ;)
I'd love to move there so freaking much.. with my MR2 of course :)
Watch every upload from nz. Love the sound bro. Doing well
Cheers my guy!!! :))

You can roll down the windows with the key, put in the drivers door lock and turn anti clockwise for down, and clockwise for up

wish he had the funds to do an rb swap, that would be sick!

Hey Rex sounds Killer 1JZ Rock Bro
Guys dont just watch hit that 👍 button.nice content rex
LEGEND! :)
Here to support bro 🇸🇨
noice
About to do something similar on my straight piped JZX90! :)
Do you notice much of a power decrease when the valve is fully closed?
damn I just bought an na supra and it came with a varex exhaust and the owner told me this little button in the console would open and close it didn't know it needed a remote to work :(
hey man hold down the unlock button on the fob and it will roll down all the windows, and vise versa the other way around
Hear more engine notes when closed, and when you open it you hear the 1jz growl. I wonder how much it restricts the exhaust tho
finally another video

Rex where is the mr2 at.????????
It's chilling, will be back for a track build eventually!
K.missing it.
Is that just the varex muffler it self or is that the whole catback and varex muffler together?
Straight pipe and only the rear silencer?
i love ya videos man but my ocd skyrocketed when you didnt solder or crimp a ring termial for the varex wiring. keep it up tho!

is your car lpg converted ?
When's the Mt Dandy run? Haha

whats that tank in the boot
Fuel tank i think.
I wish there was a toyota that has 6 cylinders and a turbo that was still cheap
they sound so cool
Any v6 Camry. 6cyl, sound good, cheap, reliable.
@@danielhertz7266 they don't really exist in UK or my part of UK only car you can really buy with a 6 cylinder is a gs300 but there na only
are there any verex mufflers for sw20 mr2?
you gotta wire it to like a throttle position sensor so when it goes above like 30% throttle it opens.

double clutching does nothing lol what a waste of time. you double clutch when you have straight cut gears
you physically cannot downshift the silvia into second because it grinds .. so you have to double clutch . box is grinding
You double clutch with a dogbox, not necessarily straight cut gears. Plenty of synchro boxes have straight cut gears too.
