He did his dad a favor actually. Now his dad can rest from all his hard work and enjoy the rest of his life. There couldn't have been any easy way to say "Dad I got this, you can relax now".Why would anyone want their parents living in hotel rooms constantly when they can now afford to retire and enjoy their life. The word "fire" sounds harsh but it's so they can have an even better relationship outside of business.I bet now is father is just dealing with Lewis when he visits rather than "Lewis Hamilton" F1 champion.

Lewis is the first and only black driver in a sport that is almost 70 years old. Add in the poverty element and you've got a major set of barriers to even get a foot in the door. You know what you guys don't understand about Sir. Lewis Hamilton.
He speaks out loud on the track.
You do this by understanding the track your on and where you are at on that track at all times.
Sir. Lewis Hamilton understand how and where to position his car this forcing Max to error.
That's why he is the Black Mamba of F1.
    CONGRATULATIONS
Sir. Lewis Hamilton 1st win 22 to go.

It was time. It’s tough to mix family with business. His career became a business. Sometime for the relationship to survive, it’s best for the parents to NOT be a perpetual manager. I’m glad Lewis and his dad came out the on the good side of the professional “breakup.”

this man and his response is more than impressive . i remember some wise/inspired advice from a famous catholic priest /author about the greatest present you could give another was your presence .and that's what lewis has mastered and displayed here. complete authenticity no acting or playing a role. and maybe more importantly he'd do that with himself.he would have saved himself a lot of wasted time because he's humble [sees things as they really are and can state it whereas the opposite ,pride doesn't /can't see things as they really are so ,comes the inevitable fall ,when god/the universe/circumstances demonstrates that you've been having yourself on .]
