@@initialmoe I just picked up a 83 nighthawk 650 for a steal, it's been a dream bike I've wanted long before I started riding, and I love the staying of the bike, tech blows me away for the period it was released, self adjusting valves, gear indicator, 6spd, and the ride and feel is just a different experience, very ahead of it's time.
I had one in 88. Very powerful. Used to get me and my homie home after work. No stalling on the biggest hills and even fast enough for the freeway though not freeway legal
@@initialmoe its a keeper. Nice to owned one. A legend by it class back in the days. Maybe not as powerful compared to new generation of scooters in 2022. But at least it will be a starter conversation down the road as some might have not seen one before or heard of it. You can tell them Linda Hamilton ride one in terminator movie, it will be a real eye opener for those clueless people. 😘😘😘😘😘
@@aussierheinhardt4390 it definitely is, im happy to have it. As far as 150cc are concerned, she definitely is just as powerful. And oh yes, every time I take it for a spin, I can see people staring 😆.
There will never be anything with such great design like the 80's had ever again unfortunately. Thanks to stupid unnecessary safety regulations that come up with new rules everyday, and worse, emissions regulations, vehicle's are ugly and boring now and will only get worse. So these beautiful designed vehicles need to be preserved, cause they're not gonna be made anymore
I had no idea those things had a popup headlight.
There's just something about 80s Honda stying and technology that I'm very much in love with.
Yes most 80s vehicles, especially Japanese vehicles were built with a lot of heart and mind. You don't see that much nowadays.

@@rj1234100 ahh yes my brother had the same bike a few years back. Good times with that bike. Congratulations on obtaining one of your dreams :)
Pop up light is the most high tech thing ever
Had one for 10 years and regretted selling it to get a newer one. Best ever!
10 years is a long time, I'm sure you have great memories with the CH150D. I agree, it's one of the greatest scooters ever made, if not the best ever.
My 1986 has 2100 miles on it and its in perfect condition.
Awesome

That's awesome, glad to hear you have good memories with the Elite 150. They are indeed quite powerful for a 80s single cylinder engine.
I was not aware that they are not freeway legal. No matter. They CAN go on the freeway in a pinch. But that's not what they were made for.
Absolutely beautiful man! ❤
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar thank you! :D
I had two of those, the first one during the '90s, and the second one during the 2000s. I used both of them to deliver papers.
That's really cool. Sounds like the perfect machine for that.
what bar end mirrors are you using? they seem like a nice fit
I had one too and I loved it. Unfortunately, it was stolen 😢. Broke my heart!
Same scooter used by Sarah Connor in terminator as she ride it to work scene! 👍👍👍👍👍
Yup haha

I've got an '86 just like this one, 7,680 miles, but it is not in nearly as pretty of shape. Gonna be restoring it sometime.
I had a 1985 Deluxe 150 new and traded up to a 1986 Helix 250👍

I agree, 80s vehicles truly are special. The style is incredible and unlike anything else.
