If a tv producer approached you and wanted to do a scripted tv series like bayou pawn or south beach tow would you?
I know you want to educate people, but would you sacrifice the educational aspects to have a show with scripted drama?
Pawn Man, love your diversified interests in history, currency etc. You collect Notegeld, I collected postcards, currency and ephemera related to the German Winterhilfswerk organization from 1932-1945. I also collected postcards from the NDSAP from 1929-1945 along with Third Reich and Allied militaria from WW2. I have my Winterhilfswerk postcard collection broken down by national issues and issues from the 40 separate "Gaus" and is chronological. It's six full Guardian albums worth of hundreds of original postcards, photos and ephemera. Now a question. I have a sterling bowl that was given in the 1880's for a horse race. I don't believe it has historical value. It weighs 16.40 troy ounces and had a melt value of $470. I called a dealer recently and he offered $260. I realize that you won't get what you would for silver bullion rounds or constitutional silver but what would you have offered for that bowl? $260, two hundred less than spot?!! Seems like a rip off.
