- A woman chased down thieves who took her backpack at Uncle Bean's Coffee shop. Claudia Callejas was focused on her computer at an outdoor coffee shop when two women walked up and brazenly snatched her backpack. However, those thieves messed with the wrong lady. She chased down the thieves and even tackled one suspect in the middle of the street in Houston, Texas. Turns out, Callejas' passport was in the backpack.
I can't stand the audacity of some people who think they have a right to take something that isn't theirs. Then, they'll harm you in the process for rightfully fighting back.

In ANY city In the world, no one man or woman should walk out of a building at night, without looking outside, and being alert as they exit. Mindfulness, and/or situational awareness, may have kept that reporter from being assaulted. The concept of any city being "safe", is an illusion. If some Psycho with a knife runs up to me in Zurich, for ME, Zurich is a crime zone, despite the rest of the city having a very low crime rate. For women most of all, but for all of us, we need to get out of our phones, and pay more attention to what's going on around us.

Honestly in this day and age people who take their laptops out in public spaces like cafes should know they’ll be targets to people who assume they “have money”. You’re nicely dressed, on your laptop in the middle of the day at a restaurant which often means you’ve got a cushy job.
