As someone who quit smoking, then vaping, and is now dieting - DEFINITELY do one at a time. It takes a lot of willpower, but you can 100% do it! One step at a time
I gained like 10 kg of weight in the last two years and i don't like it. Last year i had to start moving my body because my stressful job started to impact my physical and mental health and i got obsessed with swimming. For half a year it was my thing and i was so excited to go until my swimming pool had a two week maintenance break in the summer and i just fell out and wasn't able to go back since so i feel you with the gym . Now i started with simple walks and yoga at home because it finally dawned on me that any kind of exercise is better than none, so my goal is getting at least 15 minutes a day - it can be lazy stretching but it has to be every day. And i genuinely started to love it and usually do both a walk and half an hour of yoga and i feel so much better about myself - even if it's not noticable from the outside and my weight does not change significantly i feel stronger and more confident. I know myself so i know i cannot set any more goals for now because i will just stop altogether if i can't reach them but for now this one works for me - because done is better than perfect and i'm fine with that :)
Perfection is boring and hard to match up to. Real, honest, interesting is where it's at. Keep being real even though it's challenging in a shallow world. Accept that you go to the gym faithfully sometimes, and sometimes you are just over it. Maybe when you don't feel like going to the gym, find another type of exercise that you enjoy like a good hike, or a bike ride... I struggle going to the gym faithfully, too. Just try to be healthy one day at a time- I will try that, too. Also, enjoy that pizza with your friends.
I've recently started dieting and it's been a journey haha. My one weakness is chocolate. I bought myself one of those giant white chocolate hershey bars today and told myself I'd eat one serving. It was gone within the hour lol. It's a tough balance not to deprive myself of what I enjoy while keeping my self control in check.
You could try buying loads of chocolate bars and having them just in your house as limiting it and sort of demonising food makes you want it more and when you get this 'treat' in the house it's hard to control yourself. By having it readily available in your house you'll realise you can have it whenever you want and potentially make it easier for you to control yourself as you know that it is there anytime and isn't glorified in your mind anymore. Obviously it doesn't work for everyone but maybe it would work for you
@@aoefeable True! Something ppl dont know and then stop their diet and return to their normal foods and then they gain weight again because they have LESS muscle burning the same amount of calories
@@aoefeable yes but a diet isn't making you vomit and diarrheas when you eat. your heart is also a muscle and sharon osbourne has stated she keeps losing and cant gain anymore thanks to ozempic
I struggled with weight loss for years. The thing that finally worked was anxiety / depression medication. Turns out I was stress / anxious eating. I too thought I was food-addicted / fat pig but in fact I was slightly mentally unwell. I've had friends gain weight on anxiety / depression medication so for them I think their anxiety may have caused them to under eat. Wishing you the best

But if I tell myself to eat as much as I want...and really mean it...but also tell myself I want to eat more lovely healthy food then I do genuinely enjoy healthy foods. I just forget to make that effort. Also.. feck calories. It's just rubbish. Sometimes drinking something that tastes really healthy like a ginger turmeric shot makes you think...Waw...I must be healthy now and somehow I feel more encouraged to keep eating more foods like that! Just add more yummy healthy stuff in helps I think

I gain weight when I get depressed. My metabolism is fast (not bragging) but the downside is because it's so fast, I gain weight fast once my brain triggers into depression. Like 1 stone in a week. It's insane. I do think it's genetics so I'm not going to say it's advice but I've noticed the same with other men in my family.
i honestly don't understand my body at all. I barely eat compared to my family members and friends but my metabolism is messy. I do some medium workout almost everyday and still I can't lose some fat. Like even when i ate once a day back in college (had to save money), I did lose a lot but the fat is still there even though i used to walk 10k steps since I commute to class.
OMG I started to think I was the only person who prefers boring normal people. All of the people in my life are looking for the exceptional, and I am like dude, why? I don't want an exceptional anything. Imagine the work that will go into keeping up on whatever that it; be it a relationship, a house, a car whatever. Ugh. I have a friend who is alone and dreams of butterflies, and I am like, if you are a turtle find a turtle to be with, stop chasing butterflies. He is lonely and it makes me sad.
the key is to focus on a full lifestyle change long-term, rather than "quick" fixes. Swimming and a Mediterranean diet, and keep cutting it down on junk food/sweets, (and then just have it in moderation) helped me. I used to be obese with asmatha. managed to lose all the weight within a year and kept it off since. keep making your smoothies, it's a good start. try to reduce stress too as that can make it easier to lose weight if you have sugar and chocolate cravings, try to switch to dates, cocoa nibs and nak'd bars (eat in moderation!), and then introduce more fruit into your diet. remember it's a marathon, not a race. you got this!

Satch if this actually works I'd like to give you advice,coming from a girl that lose a lot of weight and still it's,I used to eat a lot because that was my way of feeling better o filling the emotional "void" I had,I started working on my mental health before everything and it really change me,to be honest everyone it's different,but I think you have some trauma or emotional thing to work with yourself ( i love love love eating) but that doesn't mean that I need to rely on food to feel better,I do other stuff now that help me feel better without eating so much sweetts or pizza and sht like that,I hope this helps and ily ❤
Hi Satch, I can only suggest you to drink less canned drinks- they are so sugary, and if you are scared with tap water being dirty you can boil it. And also I wanted to tell you that I was a very chubby child and grow up rather fat, so yes I understand you. 😘 And it was a very hard for me to start loosing weight, but it is possible.
if you want to lose weight long term, it's better not to try to lose it fast. ppl need time to get used to things, changing your diet and gym visits slowly overtime might work better for you. like 7 days a week to the gym istn't realistic, unless you want to become an extreme sportsman. it will be a longer process, but the results will stay, because you can get used to a new lifestyle.

It's the only way it works for me. I'm addicted to Cawston Press drinks too, they're healthy tho. I like ordinary, but quirky when it comes to life stuff, perfect is boring.
If that's the way you make your smoothies, why not just eat the fruit? At least than you can burn some calories from chewing. Look into it, its a real thing!

I swear by Alternate Day Fasting. You eat every other day. On fasting days you eat 0-500kcal and on feast days you rarely need to count calories. It’s actually important for the feast days not to be low calorie or it won’t work. The idea is to alternate with feast and famine but the metabolism doesn’t get affected. Lots of studies to support the health benefits and weight loss from ADF

Try zero cal sweetener instead of sugar, like stevia, or sweet n low
