weird to see characters being nerfed since at the time these kind of changes were usually buffs to make the weatern release easier
I still think the theory that the English version was an earlier version of the game that got accidentally sent to publishing

Gerik con feels a lot more like a nerf because of how rescue works
It can be argued as both because of the blade weapons weighing a ton and he joins in with one.
I feel they thought that Prepromotes should be able to keep up with Base Clads characters. While in our established Meta the raw stats are the most important, in a casual run if you'd train Neimi I assume she'd surpass Innes (because Rebecca does the same with Louise). This would explain why Seths growths were increased while Amelias were lowered.
Archers in fe6, specifically snipers, one round most enemies, they're nowhere near Lilina with her max magic stat due to her really good magic growth letting her one shot bosses and maneketes, but snipers are still pretty good there, Klien solod the chapter 14 boss
Frankly, I think in every fire Emblem. They're not thinking too heavily on the meta , like Is a lot in the fan base seemed to do. So what they see as Ruined forever. Me , I honestly like using all the characters Not in a single player, I'd like to pick my main stays based on the final deployment count on the final map And then when I replay again, I use a different set of characters sans a few personal favorites who are perma main stays, Because I like to think of it as life is like a Box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get! First ever run of GBA Blazing Sword, my Lyn had enough STR to deal decent damage. My 2nd she barely dented anything with decent Def and the Fire Dragon laughed off her attacks that did zero (this is Level 20/20) then she hit her cap on STR in the 3rd run.
Neimi I liked using her and she was my Sacred Stones main stay (only used Innes like ONCE! Cause SS was my second fire emblem and till Path of Radiance I had a HUGE Bias to pre promotes! Never used Pent till my 9th run which was when they re-released Blazing Sword on the WiiU as my all my GBS games were stolen when I got a DSi 😅 (and then I lost PoR and regret never knowing it was limited print till too late sob 😭 WHY WON'T "I.S." JUST RE-RELEASE PoR ALREADY! 🤬) tried Innes, liked him abit till Neimi promoted to Sniper (I'm of the Promote at Level 20 guys. Only Echoes and Engage got me to think outside that, and only because Echoes way of Level up is stupid and Engage had to REALLY limit equipment options to one-two ONLY for Advanced/Tier 2 classes sans a few base line classes. Staves don't count! And neither does Three houses for obvious reasons!) then I benched him. I only got into the community online AFTER internet became more easily accessible outside the library which was when Radiant Dawn came out and not happy with the meta one bit! Finding out my LOVED characters were being called TRASH TIER like Neimi, Marisa and Nephenee in a few pissed me off abit. I made peace with the meta (by ignoring it) and figured it's not 100% garbage as SOME people give good advice so I was just dealing with the insulting to your intelligence "Fandumb" part of it who love to be prideful smug punchable face assholes! But yeah.
Never knew about the nerve of SS but then I never looked too close into SS again because of POR and just forgot about it on my WiiU to play Fates Conquest then later Three houses and Engage. But interesting to know 🤔!

@@jaeaik My apologize for the Wall! I got rant (I was in a REALLY big mood when I typed that!) and just typed what was on my mind without thinking on it! (I have abit of a childhood grudge against "100 words or less" restrictions! So if I'm not hit with a word counter! I might write a BOOK without realizing it) Sometimes I just go wild! So my bad 😁😇
@@paulman34340 I was just playing I read all of it. But tbh, just use who you want. It's a single player game, with RNG. Just play however you want to play!
I'm still happy they gave Gerik the proper Con to wield more ranged axes beyond the Hatchet and Hand Axe. He can even use the Steel Axe without penalty now!
