16:20 Chapter 11A gives Artur a chance to shine because you know my boy is Torch spamming. Great video concept, and I'd love to see you cover the rest of the series! SS has always been my comfort FE game. It's just a chill time with some chill maps.
Some of my takes for Sacred Stones : - Chapter 19 last hope is one of my favorites because you either go rush Riev or you survive the barrage of enemies that are coming. - Personally for me Father and Son can be peak , I know many people hated the berserk staff and all the ambush spawns + how annoying it is but I felt like those chapters that are difficult because you are "invading Grado" , the big bad empire ! - Chapter 13 of Eirika route could even be peak , you are in a pincer attack and you have to hold both sides. Unless you send Seth to kill the boss in turn 2 lol - Two Evil Faces is one of my favorite chapters since I love to kill all the eggs before they hatch. Its a self impose challenge i put my self every time.
One thing I find hilarious for Eiphm route chap 9 is the healer on the left archer area. Its very easy to get Amelia a few free levels off him as she just stabs him over and over with no recourse. Plus its not like its worth killing him. The archers he's supposed to be supporting are dying if you hit them.
It's so funny that you brought up specifically chapter 1 from Fe1and Fe6 as good tutorial maps. If you're willing to excuse small changes like the exact placement of enemies or terrain tiles, they're actually the same map turned 90 degrees. Nobody can say your opinions are inconsistent!
@99wattr89, they are stylistically different true. The idea is if you took FE6 ch1 and turned it 90 degrees, the map would be the same shape as FE1's ch1. There are definitely differences like you said, the island vs inland or the cliff tiles at the spawn point in FE6 aren't in FE1, but if you look at them side-by-side you can see they're remarkably similar. Even the placement of the village is the same!
Chapter 5x will and always has been "Ephraim Rout" for me; granted, the route split levels him up for me, since I play almost exclusively Eirika, but it's fun.
Christmas cavs based on rout for me. (I'll run two cavs usually because of synergy and supports) Erika Rout: Franz (green cav) and Amelia (red cav) Ephraim Rout: Forde (red cav) and Kyle (green cav) Sometimes I'll drop Amelia and Kyle and run Franz and Forde instead.
On my first play through on Erika’s route for chapter 13a I missed out on cormag because I beat it too early and at the end of the game I realized I didn’t have him
You are acting like side objectives and recruitments are optional? I remember kid me resetting chapter 5 like 20 times to both recruit joshua and get all the villages, same with distant blade, and I get all chests, even the worthless ones.
edited with extra thoughts and my breakdown of ephraim route from the point of someone who does it pretty much every time they play sacred stones i always treat chapter 3 as my ross training map it's simple, there's enough enemies to get him to level 10, and there's enough walls where he's pretty safe there's a pretty easy way to clear chapter 5 and get the torch/guiding ring, and it involves giving seth a javelin or two and sending him down the left path while everyone else lures the enemies away from joshua. this should only take about 5-6 turns and is pretty safe 5x is boring, but since i always go ephraim route, it's good for him at least. also, based kyle enjoyer, we love to see it :) not a fog of war fan (i call it fuck of war), but at least chapter 6 is pretty easy compared to the other fog map this is where the route split happens, and i know barely anything about eirika route chapter 9b is a bit slower compared to 9a, but it's not bad at all. saving tana isn't really a major side objective, you don't get anything if she's still alive when the map ends, but it's fun to do so, and this map has the only other ocean crest, so there is merit to going to the top. amelia is so minor she doesn't even matter 10b, by contrast to 9b and 10a, is a mad rush to get to both villages, protect the green cavs so you get a knight's crest, recruit cormag, and kill the boat with a secret book. very, very fun map, just wish it was a bit more open. not a fan of having to squeeze everyone into a tight ball to survive 11b... i don't like it, but i don't hate it. it's the other main fog of war map, and there's a lot of exp up for grabs if you need it. having random flying enemies just appear out of the goddamn ether and snipe a weaker unit out of nowhere is not fun. also, it's a very congested map which can lead to traffic jams and potentially letting l'arachel get fucked by a random gargoyle. again, i don't hate it like other people, but i don't like it either, it's just a mediocre fog of war map 12b is much better than 12a, and is a damn good time. there's a lot of decently strong enemies, the monster reinforcements are a fun thing to see pop up, and there's some actually decent leg room compared to the other maps on ephraim route. plus recruiting marisa is a fun challenge, so this map has a lot going for it. 13b... i don't like this one either. it's slow, there's a lot of places where you're likely to get into a traffic jam, selena's bolting tome doesn't add much of anything, it's just not fun. i also hate that you get gerik and tethys here rather than in like, chapter 10 or 12. also if you've ever wondered what a fluorspar was, it's a salt crystal. they look pretty 14b is a bit annoying due to all the status staves you have to deal with, but it's a decently interesting map beyond that. there's a lot of reinforcements here, so if you need to get more levels on your good units, then that's the time to do so. recruiting rennac with l'arachel is a fun challenge if you haven't promoted her, and i'm glad there's an option besides her, otherwise this wouldn't be as positive. also garm is a damn good reward for clearing the chapter. glepnir is bad and doesn't count
I dunno, I’ve been able to get all 3 of Ephraim’s guys to level 10 on that fais en chapter pretty easily. Usually I just send Ephraim off on his own and let the cavaliers share a javelin
I'm a bit surprised that, despite ranking Ephraim maps higher, you like Eirika route better. Is there a particular reason for that? I'm interested in your input :)
Well I do have 3 Eirika route maps in the top two tiers and only one from Eph route. So I think the best maps in eir route are better then the best routes in Eph route. Though eir route is also my preferred story and gives me earlier access to best boy saleh, so that helps too.
@@actuallizard oh, I guess I did not watch the video properly, I was sure it was the opposite. Time to watch it one more time :p (FE8 being the game that truly hooked me to the series has nothing to do with that rewatch... or does it?) Early Saleh access do be nice if you want to start training his magic asap! Though I have a soft spot for Ephraim route... As I play a bit slower, the ship map feels quite fun with higher level units. Also I really like the Cormag & Duessel recruitment map so that's that :) Edit: one rewatch later, I know: it's because you also have more Eirika maps at the bottom of the tier list! So I guess you prefer having some really high points and some lower ones than having just a lot middling ones (which is fair).
is it worth doing a sethless run sacred stones tier list? i looked at your other tier list and most of it was 'this unit is good because it supports seth', 'this unit is bad because it's redundant to seth'. Maybe taking seth out of the equation would make the rest of the cast more interesting.
@@letsmakeit110 I personally strip Seth of his weapons and send him to the bench when possible in my runs, only using him as a meatball to protect other units (I actually managed to level him up once this way). When my other units are already promoted is when he has a chance to fight again.
yet to watch this vid but I'll say Gorgon eggs is my fav e: okay finished watching, definitely a cool list I mostly agree with, though yeah egg map would be "Peak" in mine
That Halberd really isn't much of a threat to kill Seth. On no terrain vs a seth with a few levels, It has ~12 displayed hit him with a sword, and ~42 displayed hit vs a lance. It also doesn't one shot him from full. The halberd can kill him, but it's not that likely to.
Idk I think it’s a pretty general rule to take away Seth and Titanias weapons and give all the kills to Artur, Ross or Franz, Soren, or Oscar. Using the paladins to stomp early is cheesy. They run to the doors before the Bandits. I know to each their own. But it’s a waste of EXP to use it on them IMO.
well i genarally liked this review of every map, and most of your content having subber recently. my main gripe is that for some reason you seem to no like playing the game. by trivialising ch 19 and then 20 like i get that warp is a tool but like why skip all the monsters.... just mHO but i want to kill all the things pretty much every time.
0:30 "All rankings are based on my personal opinions :)" Well your opinions are OBJECTIVELY wrong. I'm in love with my point of view, I agree with me, but not with you. (Joking, if that was not already obvious)
I wouldn't consider Warp Skip when ranking a map otherwise Shadow Dragon would be considered one of the worst games since you can Warp Skip the majority of the game. I did it for SD because the game bored me to tears half way through so much so that I even used an AR to get infinite gold and stat boosters just to beat it faster because of how boring the game was. Personally I prefer Ephraim route's overall BS since Eirika's route has less interesting maps in general and I'd much rather get Duessel sooner rather than later.
So for erika rt vs ephriam rt, i dont have a major preference. Erika has two good maps from the begining followed by two of the worst maps in thw game, than is followed by one of my personal favorites being hamil canyon. Than it floors it hard as i feel jehenna is awful, more importanly its boring. Carlyle is the only thing trying to give this map any life. Its also a map at this point that really has no prometed enemies, which is baffling at this point. Hamil canyon has up 6 ish and they have carlyle. Ep route is a bit grindeir and slow to a point. The first map is the worst of them though. Phantom ship i feel is done dirty, by now if you use your tools and feed your training units they should begin promoting right about now, (if not before) if your very agressive with those promoted units you usualy end up having to return to save your healers and such from the deathgoyle. Which is always fun honestly. As the threat and urgency to slay most of the monsters allowing you to move in is a great excercise. Selenas map is disappointing but not bad, (though i do like the agrro of the enemies when you kill her). Grado is a lot of fun as it gives every dude you brought somthing to do wether ots running to one side to cut off rennac etc who this time is an actual concern vs before you open a room and recruit him in the same turn. Vigard is a tad more lame but the many druids and few other premoted characters add a bit of threat and planning needed.
Nothing like a good ‘ranking every’ video! Here’s hoping for a banger for you!

Scorched Sand only fun tier??? Gonna have to disagree chief thats PEAK Sacred Stones
Strongly agreed about Eirika saving Ephraim! Actually such a big deal to me that it motivated me to try my hand at romhacking.
Some of my takes for Sacred Stones :

On the contrary I love that Ephraim escapes ch 8 himself but they show Erika's gullibility by tricking her to try and save him.
How so? Isn't Ch1 in FE1 the long curling island? And Ch1 in FE 6 is inland.
@99wattr89, they are stylistically different true. The idea is if you took FE6 ch1 and turned it 90 degrees, the map would be the same shape as FE1's ch1. "it's not a big deal, it's just a promotion item" feels like sacrilege. I'd sack many of my benched units for them.
Chapter 5x will and always has been "Ephraim Rout" for me; granted, the route split levels him up for me, since I play almost exclusively Eirika, but it's fun.
It would be interesting to see a similar video for fe6 or fe7.
Christmas cavs based on rout for me. (I'll run two cavs usually because of synergy and supports)

35:00 Was that shade thrown at Engage?
Fun list, I like your thought process on the matter.
On my first play through on Erika’s route for chapter 13a I missed out on cormag because I beat it too early and at the end of the game I realized I didn’t have him
5x should definitely have it's own tier. It's peak reason that I have a save state at chapter 6 that I always load my gs up and use to play ss
You are acting like side objectives and recruitments are optional? I remember kid me resetting chapter 5 like 20 times to both recruit joshua and get all the villages, same with distant blade, and I get all chests, even the worthless ones.

i always treat chapter 3 as my ross training map
it's simple, there's enough enemies to get him to level 10, and there's enough walls where he's pretty safe
there's a pretty easy way to clear chapter 5 and get the torch/guiding ring, and it involves giving seth a javelin or two and sending him down the left path while everyone else lures the enemies away from joshua. this should only take about 5-6 turns and is pretty safe
5x is boring, but since i always go ephraim route, it's good for him at least. also, based kyle enjoyer, we love to see it :)
not a fog of war fan (i call it fuck of war), but at least chapter 6 is pretty easy compared to the other fog map

Something tells me its the plot
Since how supperbly they handled chapter 15 plotwise for example
Even if they overblown eirika naivete

7:30 there is a Halberd to kill Seth. You should know that

Funi halberd guy in chapter 6 that can kill God is hilarious lol
