You can also add oil and glycerine for flexibility instead of soap , soap could be toxic for kids

May I ask, in thinner pieces, does it dry and keep its shape? without slumping or drooping? (example: if I made figurine with long flowing outwards hair, would the hair stay in position, or slump a lot as it dries?) Does it have good "body" and keep to the shape?

It takes 12 hrs to 24 hrs to dry completely dependending on thickness..all the very best fr your competition😊😊

Grind rice in a mixer this will also work

You can use glue+water to smooth out the clay when you are sculpting

Yes..its good for sculpting bcoz..shrinkage is verrryyy little..i made panda sculpture ..please check and results are good., smooth it out with glue and water..so that you will get smooth finishing without cracks😊😊
