I'm from the UK, we had 5 nights in SF in 2018. We had an In and Out I'm pretty sure the same restaurant. It was packed!! Absolutely loved driving over the Golden Gate Bridge, so it was great to see again. We drove Highway one down to Santa Monica. So if your going that way maybe stop at Hearst Castle or Solvang. San Luis Obispo for Bubblegum alley. Great video mon, give me a shout out. Russ from Telford in the UK 🇬🇧
My first really good impression about coffee was from working for Starbucks and I also got married to my wife because of Starbucks coffee, working for Peet's change the coffee game for me. There's one thing that I learned about coffee and Peet's they don't mess around about coffee.
Yep, we chose not to go up down the bridge to stay at that spot when we were southbound. Instead, stayed over on Alameda, right at the water where we could see the bay and GG bridge. There is a huge dirt lot with a dog park next to it. All the cans and RV’s park there and no one bothers you. Yes, there is a homeless encampment, however, with the exception of them being loud at times, there was no issue. My boys watched the boats being pushed into the estuary, from our pop-top. It was super nice. Target was about 2 minutes away and it was easy to get to the 5.
You are lucky that it's still Covid days. Not so many tourists right now. Years ago, it was nearly impossible to overnight at that bridge overlook. Had regular patrols to keep it available for the nightly parade of international tourists for their photo ops. What happened to your cab over camper? Guess I need to look back a few episodes. Safe traveling!
I agree that Peet’s is WAY better than Starbucks ! Nice place to sleep. I’ve been to that area and had no idea you could sleep there overnight . I live in the Bay Area, and might have to go sleep there once.
Overnight parking for 8 hours as it is a designated rest area! There's another great one just south on the coast in Pacifica near the famous Taco Bell!
Was SUPER foggy when I went and the boats were blowing their horns every 10 sec. all through the night ( to make sure they don't collide with each other obviously ) but HOLY HELL those horns were loud lol
Try using a tie-down to lock from the inside. Works like a charm if you can hook it to the anchors in the truck and then to the latch on the back window.
Your in Mill Valley In-n-out that shot there was a clinic behind you! That In-n-out has no drive thru and its always packed! I didn't know you can park there overnight and sleep! ive taken many pictures there and been there many times at that lookout! We just drove today from San Jose, Norcal to LA Socal and we filled up in Leemore on I5 at $4.75 a gallon have a Silverado $96!
Hey Johnny Boy, Pretty cool videos, I drive a Tundra too! on this video @ 9:15 seconds roughly.. you mentioned feeling weird with the truck bed windows not covered. I get that. I live full time in a pull behind RV & getting geared up for a Skoolie Build... looking for the right bus now! Hey, I just wanted to ask, have you ever thought about limo privacy tint or to save Money, make some shade panels that fit right in the windows shape, theres a TON of cool stuff to design panels-- even a see thru panel idea I had & you can just un Tie/ or un-wedge etc & slide them anywhere when you want visibility back! Curious to know your thoughts. Ive learned a lot of tricks & still learning in just over 3+ years of living off LESS & still have amazing adventures. I enjoyed that bridge & staring out over the bay last time I drove to Cali from Fla. What a trip that was. next I cut across middle America or maybe even drive to Maine & from its coast to the NorCal Redwood coast or up to Alaska. Enjoying your videos so far! Keep on Rolling, lol, Cheers Dude!
yea paying the tolls each time adds up! jus get a toll pass unit that goes on ur upper window and allows u to paa through the bridges everyday when u put ur $$ on it!
When highway patrol is behind you just take your foot off the gas. And if you are driving from Oregon dont drive the 101 use the 5 Frey it only take 14 hours
Im new to your channel and i love this camping by the bridge what a great view im definitely subscribing to your channel and be on the journey with you as you take us along 😀
This summer I camped in my truck from San Diego to Seattle and back and that gas price difference between southern Oregon and northern California was so shocking oh my god.
Great video. Thanks. Awesome you got to overnight camp there. Did you go to the Jefferson St. in n out? That's the only one I know that doesn't have a drive thru cause it would cause congestion in area. They are really good. I remember a McDonald's closer to pier 43 that also doesn't have a drive thru. I'm jealous that you got some Peets. I love their coffee. If you get a chance, try Dutch bros. They are really good too
There's no parking in SF because SF wants you to pay for parking but if you're a native SF person you would know how to find free parking just by looking around until you find one
Bruh you slept In the same exact spot I did lmao...thats definitely a top 5 place to sleep in America. Im I the portland area now getting ready to head back south
Welcome back to the Bat Area Bra🤙, I know exactly this spot, really calm and peaceful. The first time I went there I got lost to get to this spot. Good times🌉
????????????? 1. where did you get a camper shell when you loaded the truck it did not have one. ?????? 2. I paid I think $2.75 per gallon in K.C. yesterday per gallon.
I personally think S.F. offers very little to an average person. My experience was that some of the local people thought they and their town was superior to ALL. It wasn't so great. It's natural beauty was lovely.
I'm in my 20s but with the limited experience I've had I tend to find that places that say they are greatest tend to be average or tend to have a few good things but everything else is disappointing and bleh. Like San Francisco seems like it's more interesting threw a car window or in the super rich part of town. The crackheads needles crime and human waste kinda knock it down a few stars for me. I've seen places that make me want to get penicillin shots in my eye balls cause it was just that bad
🤣love ur curtains👍. 500 Doller for a Ticket? How many euro is that? Sounds a lot,how fast did u drive...400?🤣🤣. Love ur Videos, greetings from Germany,Silke👋
That view is worth the two tolls. A great view with a great burger. You're living the life, Jonathan!
Agreed! Thanks for watching

Your poor kitty. 🙀 She's so patient.
come to dallas. I'll take you to some nice bbq and burger spots
Nice view of the bridge and the camper with the lights on

Peet's is the BOMB. Love your overnight stay in your truck. It beats staying in a highrise $hotel$ to view the bridge with its view. Memorable!!!!
True, True, & True!

One thing about San Francisco, you never have to look for a restroom…going potty in the street is completely acceptable
You’re not wrong 😂
:)
And just leaving Portland which is just as bad if not worse.
And headed to LA. 3 open toilets areas is a row. And I life in LA.
When I visited San Diego back in 2008 I couldn't find a place to park to get coffee either.
Stunning vid of the ggb
Keep on being true to your self 🙂
About 5 years ago gas ended up at about $1.80 a gallon. It stayed around the same for 4 years. What has changed in the last 10 months.....
Biden is what changed @#$&!
Not in California
@@bevr2164 keep drinking the koolaid 🙄
@@bita1583 Funny gas prices started rising when Biden took office. I think you're delusional..

I’ve car camped at that spot. You should’ve visited the pier down below for a little bit of ocean fishing/crabbing.
I'm glad you are back in the Portland area, at times. Love your humor. We could use that around here.
:')
Peets is the Coffee of choice if you like a darker stronger cup !
I agree that Peet’s is WAY better than Starbucks !
Nice place to sleep. I’ve been to that area and had no idea you could sleep there overnight . I live in the Bay Area, and might have to go sleep there once.
Cool... I didnt know you could overnight park there. Thats one of the most popular tourist spots in SF. Yeah Petes is my fave too.
I didn’t either until looking into it a bit. Sweet spot!
I've lived here for sixty five years and I didn't know that.
Overnight parking for 8 hours as it is a designated rest area! There's another great one just south on the coast in Pacifica near the famous Taco Bell!

I agree! Peet's is WAY better. I saw what you did an realized before you said it, but the extra toll was a small price to pay for that boondock!
Nomad lifestyle👍 In-N-Out is always good hot or cold
There are places to get coffee in the city…where u can park for 5 minutes… that’s a good spot for the night!
Glad you remembered you’d Hugh school Spanish to say good nite.
You got yourself a new sub, HELL YEAH 200k subs this time next yer let’s GOO journey on
OH hell no!! I drove over that at around 9pm when it was raining and my windows fogged up could not see coming back from wa lol

Can't believe you were so close, I have residential parking just south of the city whenever you're passing thru again!
$2.95 per gallon here in South Dakota
Central IN we are paying $3.35/gal right now. We use to spend $30 a week in gas..now its $50..its ridiculous...
Put your food on your hood for a bit to warm it up. The hood will stay warm for a while after arriving at your spot.
Genius!
Yeah J , we stop in Oakland, spend the night at my brother in law before we head Socal, thank you for the pro tip. Be safe.
