I love this guy, so positive, keeps moving forward, keeps things neat, great communicator, a comfort in these times, hope he keeps making videos. Thanks
Hey brother! Love the videos. Just a pro tip to make your egg dishes turn out better; use the spatula to push everything else aside and cook the eggs in the empty space before mixing them into the rest of the ingredients in the frying pan. It will come out much better!
Jonathan! Get yourself a hitch step!!! My back hurts just watching your jump out and climbing into your awesome rig!!! Love your videos brother and keep on keeping on!!! Be safe out there!!!
My wife and I are glad you have a good sense of humor about your fly fishing. Thank goodness you don't have to survive on what you catch (or don't catch). You're our favorite up and coming UA-camr! Looking forward to your next video!
Hang in there brother, just enjoying mother natures beauty is a reward in its self. Catching a fish on the fly rig is a bonus. Thank you for the great content.
Two suggestions: 1st, book a 1/2 day walk and wade guide. They will teach you basic casting, set up, drifts and flies. Worth the money. 2nd, wear a wade belt. Good habit to get in to for several reasons - you can read about. Here’s a bonus…get a float tube and fly fish on the many trout lakes…it is a blast and YOU WILL CATCH FISH!!
If you’re still in the Crested Butte area, Kebler Pass has some of the best dispersed camping, with some of the most amazing aspen stands(when in season) Enjoy!
Just started watching Jonathan's channel in the last couple of months. Having a good time watching his previous adventures while he's working on rebuilding the Bigfoot. Have to say, I really enjoy the footage. That part of Colorado is amazingly beautiful. No advice on the fly fishing, but I think Jonathan has the right attitude - don't worry so much about catching the fish, enjoy the experience!
On the road in my truck n camper also now .... A tip on fishing for ya ... Ask the guys at the fly shop what the trout are eating and huck those flies at em ... Target rocks because fish hide next to them . I just replaced my old camper heater with a diesel heater ... And so far so good with it . Well enjoy the outdoors ... I'm up in the Sierra's , above lake Tahoe range ... camping , Fly fishing, riding my bike etc ....happy trails !!
I used to work at geek squad. They can do that data transfer it is extremely simply but if they aren't competent at what they do or are just lazy they won't do it. You just open the hard drive enclosure and connect the hard drive inside and transfer your info out. It might be scary if you don't know what you're doing but honestly it's so easy if this ever happens again you can do it your self!
Hi, I’m so thrilled you went to Crested Butte it’s one of my favorite areas hardly any people especially fall time . After you leave Crested Butte and your headed back to Gunnison on your left there’s a road to Taylor reservoir its beautiful and there’s Cottonwood Pass which takes you to Buena vista . I’m not sure if Cottonwood pass is open but Taylor reservoir should be open? SNOW will close the pass for the winter . Another thing in Colorado lots of ghost towns and some might still have a few people who run gift shops and live there good video footage . It’s like stepping back in time 😎 I lived in Gunnison back in 1978-1986 I was 19 years old . The rivers were roaring century record snows my dad hooked me up with a fly rod . I caught 19 fish in 1 hour they were running up stream . All I had in my freezer were fish😄 that was a long time ago and I’m not sure if the fish are still there in those numbers . I was fishing at the bridge leaving Gunnison headed west just down stream from a bridge Tomushie Village? I don’t fish at all I just had the right fly and lots of fish to caught Cathy O
More problems mean more chances for you to find solutions.... And more solutions means more videos... I call that serendipity twice the good from one bad thing...
You're going to catch a bunch of fish one day my friend. Keep your chin up and your waders on. Thank you for taking us along on all your adventures. Love your vlogs.
Such beautiful places. Our planet is truly beyond beautiful and quite wondrous. Just the fact that you're out there enjoying and experiencing life and learning about nature how to survive and thrive in it and respect it; which you totally do, is such an awesome life. I appreciate your videos and enjoy, so much, watching them. No hat brah! Keep on truckin'.
Hey Jonathan, If you want to have more success flyfishing you want to match the hatch. That basically means you want to use flies that mimic whatever insect is hatching in that stream that time of year, entomology is a pretty important part of flyfishing. Usually the local shop should have that information for you and a big chance they have the particular fly you need for it. Also I’d recommend fishing nymphs underneath a indicator instead of a dropper for more visibility when you’re getting the hang of it. Good luck on your next time out 👍🏻 P.s. have you checked the battery connection yet? It could just be some oxidation on the positive and or negative connection.
I love ALL your adventures. It's bomb to me to just be free and drive ! Been there too! Happy travels Johnathan! You always have a great video with spectacular views.
10:37 to 11:25 was just Majestic. I could watch that on loop and guarantee myself sweet dreams. Slumber Queen strikes again...you gotta love her though. Thanks for always taking us along, Jonathan! 👍👌☝🏞
I’m terrible at fishing. But gotta say some of my best memories are of trying to catch fish with my sons. Quality and relaxing times. Hope you get that battery back online and glad you were able to get the hard drive fixed. Have fun! 😄
Any place fish can post up to ambush things the current pushes by is where to focus on rivers.. So basicallly anything that breaks the current. bends in the river deep holes or logs evem bog rocks. Fish will kinda post up there out of the current or hidden and wait for things to float by... so make your fly float by at the speed of the current.. keep moving and cover lots of water.. a lot of times if you just sit and watch and let all that city noise leave your head you will start seeing bait and bugs and fish that were right in front of you ... good luck buddy.. love the vids
We caught many many rainbow trout, in the Ozarks, on just plain canned whole kernel corn...better than flies, any day. (Be sure you get a name brand so the kernels will be firm.) That is, if you're more interested in supper than being in style. 🙃
Don't let the tough times get you down. As you gain life experience you will learn that Life is just one kick in the balls after another, interspersed with times where your balls don't ache as much. Enjoy the less achy times.
Jonathan, the next time that you come to Utah, try camping in the Flaming Gorge area. Fish the Green River and enjoy some of the most beautiful country in America.
Love your videos! I would love to go camping in a trailer like that. Glad you had fun fishing; you're always such a good sport. Keep up the great videos brother! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻
Hi Jonathan, another beautiful vid. Wow that water was crystal clear where you were fishing. I had to laugh. I was one of the gentle "roasters" of you back in last video . I literally LOL'd when I saw you carrying the little hand shovel into the woods for business. Good job. :) Take care Jonathan.
You should also be able to purchase some fresh duck and venison during hunting season :) and farms have cheese and eggs you can purchase as well :) Don't forget about honey :)
You have to put your own sauce, mayonnaise or whatever you want. I always put mayonnaise on both sides. Clise it. Then open it and take the chicken breast out and leaving the mayonnaise bun and pickles (always get extra pickles) and eat them separately. It is oh so good. The hotter the better. Nothing better than Chick-fil-A.
Remember if you in our state from september to december its hunting season wear your hunter orange when in the mountains. Just a heads up i just went elk hunting so. Ya
With a water current like that I'm guessing the fish would be hiding behind big rocks so targeting behind any big rocks might be smart. I find it so easy to catch fish in calm lakes casting from shore. Caught many pike trolling with a paddle boat. Maybe there's just a lot more fish in lakes or bigger slow rivers. With clear water like that you can see it's mostly empty. Maybe they have to travel in fast rivers but maybe they just pass through quickly making it barren most of the time and very hard to catch. But I can imagine them taking a break behind a rock. Just my guesses.
The 80 from Grand Junction to Denver is a probably one of the most beautiful drives on an interstate… what about heading down to the million dollar highway… love watching the adventures… be well!
The external drive is just a case with a hard drive inside. It’s possible for someone who knows what they are doing to crack open the case, pull your drive from the other side. As long as it hasn’t fried and the data is there it can be recovered. Hey from AZ/UT border!
I feel your pain on the data loss. My son's first ever homerun in an all-star game is lost in my friends broken phone. It's been 8 years and I beg her not to throw it away.
You should look into getting one of those diesel heaters a lot of cans get, you can store the take outside of the camper shell and feed the line into the camper fo keep it warm and safe while driving around!
Haha about 6 years ago I’m pretty sure that’s the same camp spot I once stayed at when in Moab for a hiking trip, hope to go back someday, safe travels and it will all get better soon my friend
Hi. Been really enjoying your videos. Alot of external drives are no more than HDD and SSD in a enclosure. The water your fishing looks very clear and the fish would be very easy to spook. I have never fished there though. But some time the fish are just not on.
I capture a lot of gopro footage on my dirt bike and what not, I keep the footage backed up on 2 hard drives. 1 solid state and 1 regular, 2 TB drives... as well as on my laptop. So 3 redundancies total. It's also worth having cloud storage as well. I look at it this way, the footage I take is priceless... so it's costly to protect its existence. Lol
Bro don’t get frustrated one of the hardest tactics is fishing where your unfamiliar, professionals and 10-15 yr veterans would ideally have ideals, best thing to do is read or utube a lot of different river lake tactics from others. That’s how you play the game. Hang in you’ll be awesome bro.
Sorry to give you such short comments that you most definitely do not deserve! I like that trailer with the gear trailer as well!🚐 Yeah, I agree with more sauce to that chicken🍗🍔- Scooping it(the sauce) will have to work!🍟What a beautiful area you picked for parking in and sleeping!🌄😴🥰 Thank goodness for that shovel!💩🤭Although I'm popping in and out with the comments, I'm still watching all of your videos and am giving you a "Thumbs Up"!!👍 I'm drinking coffee with ya as well!☕Oh yeah, the "Back in the Day" video was pretty cool😎😎🌊🌅(just in case I missed commenting about it!👍)
You should get the GNARBOX. It’s awesome. I got one. It’s a hard drive, but it’s much more. A little expensive but worth it. That’s what I use so I don’t loose my videos. Anyhow another great video bud

Whew! Glad you got your files back! It’s a nightmare when your drive gets corrupted!
Hell yah great news I knew it was possible. Never get 1 opinion anywhere unless the guy sounds like a genius.
My son moved there about a year ago. Visited twice. Want to travel the state just like your doing !!!
It's so beautiful up there!
3:42 open it up and just remove the hdd in it, u can buy a cable for less than $10 that connects it with usb on one end
Thanks for making a responsible choice to not have a fire when conditions are not ideal. Great video again buddy. Have a great week.
Randomly stumbled upon ur page but damn Jonathan good to see that ur living life to the fullest! Much love from an old La Crescenta friend ❤️

The chick fil a spicy sandwich deluxe (lettuce, tomato and cheese) is where it’s at. So good
Practice makes perfect!!!! You'll get the hang of it one day just don't give up!! We all believe in you!! You will catch a fish on that fly rod!!!
You need to make more videos please
Working on it!
Looks like a lot of fun being out there in nature!
Just remember, a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work any day.
I love those .50 pies from Walmart,always buy them❤️❤️

Gotta go back to Moab and chill there for a bit! Our favorite city
what I appreciate is every one of these shots has to be thought about and set up. Then edited. Commitment.
Beautiful views. I enjoyed watching almost most of all your videos. Thank you.
Your drone shots were excellent 👌 You always seem to keep a positive attitude about everything 😀 Tough to do. Love your videos.

Check out Louis Rossman on UA-cam. Office in New York. No repair no charge. Rarely fails.
You should look into getting one of those diesel heaters a lot of cans get, you can store the take outside of the camper shell and feed the line into the camper fo keep it warm and safe while driving around!
You should start using perdigon flies as nymphs bro they work in every trout river
Thanks for the tips! Will try that out
It's so quiet there nice.
You're an excellent videographer. Thank you I really enjoy watching.

Stunning scenery! Glad you were able to get your data back. Take care and enjoy the view.
That was totally me when you used the French fry to spread the sauce. Love it, lol!
Your page showed up on my you tube yesterday. I'm enjoying your journey!
Come board northern Utah this season! I’ll even let you use one of my free buddy passes to basin!

Go get a copy of "The Curtis Creek Manifesto". Lots of good tips there. Good luck, don't ever quit waving that stick in the air.

I"m so glad it turned out for you.
Good and happy
Vibe. Be careful .
Great casting.
I have great luck with Green Colored Elk Hair Caddis flys there.
The local fly shops keep it secret.
Thanks for the intel! I'll keep it in mind next time
Ahhhh yeah
Now you’re in my neck of the woods 😁💯🤙🌲❤️
Beautiful, peaceful video, Jonathan. You are living the best life! Keep trying for those elusive trout and you will catch some nice ones eventually.
Walmart is now also selling Chick-fil-A sauce. My daughter loves Chick-fil-A and when we discovered that Walmart sells it she went crazy LOL
Hey Jonathan, I live in Denver, Co and this video u came through Colorado and I wished I met u since I watch ur videos.
Hey Jonathon this was a score good job
I know the grass is always greener. But Americans are very fortunate having such a large and diverse country to explore :) . You could spend a lifetime exploring only in the States
It is one of the best things about it has every type of environment just about, but there's plenty that's to envy in the Old World also it's just expensive to get to them.
U should have asked the local tackle shop where u got your waders. Usually when u spend some $$ they r down to give u some local info.
I love your positivity!
beautiful content brother be patient with the fishing its zen you just learn to read the river its easy you will get it you have great form with your laying the line out there thank you for sharing the adventure
The Moab is straight up Gorgeous. need more UTAH and Cali
That was way more positive than I expected. Yay! Watching from Fremantle West Australia
I think you’ll really like the black canyon it’s warmer then Gunnison area but not far it’s back towards Montrose take the road over the dam and go to SOB gulch trail with use to boon dock . It’s some amazing footage this hike it’s like going down the Grand Canyon and there’s a river at the bottom something like 1,200 feet down only a 1/3 of a mile wide ? Black rock I’ve camped at the bottom 3 time it’s amazing at night looking up . I hope these tips help . Have a good journey can’t wait to see where you go 😎Cathy O
Next time you’re in Walmart, look in same section as mustard/ketchup/etc and you just may find the Chick-fil-a Sauce & their Polynesian Sauce. Most Walmarts carry it.
Absolutely beautiful scenery!!!
Thanks for the video and be well.
Moab is one of my favorite places in the world
Try using some streamers as well, having a variety of flies really helps. I mostly use streamers and don't catch as much but they do tend to attract the more aggressive trout, which makes for some fun catching.
Your vid’s are awesome I always enjoy bro as a new subscriber
