Although this is an older video- thanks for showing the pressed open seam allowance. Every other video I have seen is all about nesting and I am an open seam girl.

Your info is insightful and would so be most helpful in a larger scale. Your hands are in the way. If the fabric were 5” it would be great. Hope that’s helpful as that is how it is intended. Thx again.

I am a pinner and a gluer. I hate ripping out and am not happy when my points don't match. I use clover glass head pins. They are thin and sharp, perfect for piecing! I will give your angle pinning tip a try!

I am a left-hand pinner. I have not tried to pin diagonally. Looking forward to trying this technique. I try never to stitch over a pin. Vision and the eye is so important. It is not worth harming my eye.

Thank you, Amy, for the great tips. I really love your tutorials and sure hope you keep it going! I haven't been through all of your vids but was wondering if you've got anything to say about machines. I see you use a Baby Lock...do you use other machines? Manual ones? Any opinions regarding the subject of machines? Thanks again!

Machines - I work with Baby Lock and love the range of machines, and the features that they include. My suggestion is always the same thou, go with the machine you can afford, or make the one in the closet work for now.
If you are in the market for a machine, go to a dealer that will walk you through the options and features, and let you test drive machines in the shop. Also, ask about what kind of classes they might have to go with your eventual purchase.
