Site Inspection of Camp Navarro General Hospital Building 05/09/2024

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. conducts a site inspection of the newly constructed Camp Navarro General Hospital (CNGH) Building within the Western Mindanao Command (WesMinCom) in Barangay Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City on May 9, 2024.
The construction of the hospital was funded through the ‘Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad (TIKAS)’ program, a convergence project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Department of National Defense (DND).
Spanning 2,500 square meters, the two-storey building has a 120-bed capacity and is designed to enhance medical services for soldiers and their dependents.
Following the site inspection, the Commander-in-Chief turns over a check from the Office of the President (OP) for approximately PhP80 million for the newly built hospital. This fund will be used for the procurement of medical equipment and other hospital necessities.
Joining President Marcos Jr. at the event are DND Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr., DPWH Undersecretary for Technical Services and Information Management Service Ador Canlas,
WesMinCom Commander Lieutenant General William Gonzales of the Philippine Army (PA), CGNH Acting Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Giovanni Falcatan, and Colonel Nanette Provido of the Medical Administrative Corps (MAC), General Service Corps (GSC).
