@Cool Monxter she visited Zamboanga for Zamboanga itself, since the Zamboangeños are already quite known especially by latin people she focuses more instead to the more indigenous people. The only time she mentioned Basilan is when the indigenous people fleeing from it. Wag feeling beh, hindi yan bibigyan ng title na raise your flag Zamboanga kung hindi Zamboanga ang pag uusapan.

Dean Cafe That myth or lie ruins the point that Zamboanga is a unique city, if its just called a melting pot like every other city in Asia is. Being a melting pot is not unique. Most Filipinos are very naive about how some Asian countries are more than diverse or multi cultural than cities in the Philippines. Zamboanga claims to be a Latin City. There is nothing Latin about being a Cornocopia of ethnic identities. On a tourism marketing perspective, this is a contraction to how the city is being packaged.

Yung mga kasuutan nila ay mula mismo sa mga gawa nila. Magaganda. Kumpara sa mga mamahaling branded products, yung mga materials na ginagamit nila ay hindi rin basta-basta nasisira.
Sila ang totoong simbolo ng pagiging Pilipino. Sana ay mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga taong ito upang mas ma-promote o makilala ang kanilang mga gawa hindi lamang sa Pilipinas kundi maging sa ibang bansa na rin. Maging halimbawa sana si Catriona sa ibang malalaking personalidad dito sa Pilipinas na tangkilikin din ang sariling atin. I am from Mindanao. This is one reason why I am proud to be a Filipino.
When I was in in my elementary days I was dazzled and amazed by the Vinta's. When I was in high school, I was astonished and mesmerized by the Chavacano Language. In College, I was blown away and astounded by how the peace, unity and harmony thrives amidst the tension of the region and the diversity of the religion there. So I went there before I graduated College and ZAMBOANGA did not disappoint me. Not at all, not in any aspect, sides and corners of it. All of those Zamboanga thoughts, dreams and feels I had since then just rushed to me in a great impact, so hard that it makes me cry out of happiness just thinking if it now. I came back twice since then and will come back again for sure in the nearest future.

One of the reasons that I will forever be proud of being a Filipino is our rich culture. I am grateful that contents like this are available to a lot of people already. I believe so. Catriona Gray really has an innate creativity. She puts her heart in her passion, like her love for her advocacies like education to underprivileged children and her keen interest for indigenous local fabrics. And this interest bring her to explore our different places especially in the indigenous tribes in Mindanao. So proud of her work to continue researching on our different cultures. She will be a good ambassador for culture and arts.
