it's been 3-4 years since i played BS, but i loved it so much so watching your videos makes me nostalgic. i preferred the 2nd game so much due to the new jobs + you're reminding me why it was so awesome!
In all honesty, I found the Astrologian to be rather helpful, due to it's status buffs, and the Red Mage made so much sense to have at the beginning anyway. I found myself having Yew as a Red Mage, giving him the Astrology powers, and attaching Spellcraft and Good Measure helped.
My favorite class has to be either a maxed out fencer, because falcon claw, duh(+bloody wolf). But the class that is amazing for attacking hard AND fast definitely goes to ninja. I just love how ninja isn't broken, but just a good class. And well when you put it together, just look at sword dancer. I'm a little biased, but the tide turner/counter+strike combo is one of the most useful combo for boss fights by Red. Without a doubt.
Ninja was always so cool to me. Their katana usage and max hit count raise is awesome. And when you factor the quad equip from chariot, thats four katanas in your hand and increased critical hit rate. It was a very fun and (I felt like) a clever move to me. Although the pirate class was outright more damage, ninja felt more balanced. And also the monk class, their raw damage just felt balanced and fun to use.
I haven’t gone through the whole game yet. But my favorite classes would hav to be: Summoner- In BS, Summoner is, in my opinion, the strongest magic class in the game, much stronger than the meer Spirit Magic. With the ability to unleash powerful attacks on enemies, and even heal & buff allies, I felt it was incredibly powerful versus Swordmaster. (No offense to any swordmaster users) And with Spellcraft... it just broken. So. So broken. Bishop, Exorcist, Pirate- same reasons as you. Catmancer- besides Pirate, this was another great physical abuser (not to mention adorable). I loved it when Tiz would display such amazing strength with his knuckles and cat companions. Not to mention the variety of the attacks. It just overall made a great fit to the team. Patissier- I found this class to be a great support job. With the ability to apply many status effects to enemies and allies alike, it didn’t need to go through my stomach to get my heart. I also found it paired really well with the Summoner & Hawkeye classes, due to being able to crest many loopholes for them. Astrologian- with the Pirate & Patissier applying so many status effects & debuffs yo enemies, and Summoner getting Conjuring so late. I needed someone to really send my team to the next level. And boy did Astral magic do the job. And since it came so early in the game, it made all the more fun. Merchant- while it might not be the best class in BS, it is still a good class in my opinion. I haven’t spent too much time with Chompcraft, and I didn’t want to spend hours on end grinding for pg. So More Money & Big Pharma really did the trick. After following the money farming video you posted, I was swimming in pg! Hawkeye- Merchant isn’t best suited for boss fights, but Hawkeye is. It really made a difference for my Pirate when magic got involved. Not to mention breaking my enemies already weak defenses. This is the majority of my team setup.
Im defenetly gonna expirement with kaizer, guardian and exorcist. Once i gave them a chance i just need to put them on my main team and a control aspect team, still having some proplems with it though 😅
Okay so.. I ran Only Dark Knights and ONE Dancer in Bravely default. Dancer was merger with merchant to use small farms to lower BP cost to 1.. and to give everyone max BP... That first turn she set up. I made my Main Dk (Tiz) Equip the bloodsword to use it's drain ability from item selection, swapped to Amo-No-Murikimo and then the following turn would quad cast Rage.. your hp regenned 9999 every hotm. Making the move cast 20 times.. for max..
I'd also actually have a Dk/Monk cast The Kh Absorb spell with no weapon on and max attack passives and spam black hole which would HEAL my whole team for 9999 and hit the whole enemy side. Last one was Dk Valkyrie for extra DPS...
i think you meant to say it isn’t great at being overall useful in the game since u get it pretty late but the class itself is definitely strong and arguably the best in the game
I played with valkyrie and merchant but they never grew attach with me. There styles dont mix with mine sadly enough but pretty good classes over all....except for merchant, i only see him as early money gain
Mine ranks from these classes mainly. Swordmaster is quite useful, his counter abilities can be very powerful, with the ability to rid someone of a BP, and cast magic spells at no Mana cost for a while, is rather useful Yōkai is fun to just to screw around with, despite the fact it is very impractical when it comes to combat abilities. It had potential, but it was a fun class to mess with. Guardian, for me at least, was a TANK, very durable, good at supporting with possession and possessed and soul cannon, during BS, could do upwards of 13,000 DAMAGE! Excorcist is everything said in the video, broken, fun, and abusable. What else is there to it? Kaiser is very interesting. It has a reverse minus strike, and an ability set that buffs or nerfs both sides. Useful if you want to screw around with the rules of a fight. You have people who love to self heal, Winter storm can stop him from doing that. Not to mention gluttony and winter storm. immunity.

man...i can't deny your picks
the exorcist is way to broken in what it does, and i love it for that
Exorcist is literally the power of Gold Experience Requiem so of course it's going to be broken
Im defenetly gonna expirement with kaizer, guardian and exorcist. Once i gave them a chance i just need to put them on my main team and a control aspect team, still having some proplems with it though 😅
Alexander Cintron trial and error
Matt Stone thats true but i could also appreciate a little help, even my tactical brain destroyed 😅

i like a good portion of them but my favs overall have to be black mage, ninja, catmancer and yokai
I really like Yokai's theme, but it's so far late game that by that point, it's not as strong as your other jobs
i think you meant to say it isn’t great at being overall useful in the game since u get it pretty late but the class itself is definitely strong and arguably the best in the game
