Absolutely love Aristos. Makes so much sense to have one now with JDM cars hiking up in price at an insane rate. Here in Aus a proper 2jz TT supra goes for anywhere between & $80,000 - $150,000+ meanwhile grab one of the meanest, quickest family sedan for a bargain $20,000 - $40,000. Makes a lot of sense to me why the Artisto is a legend in its own right 😁
Wow!!! They taxing over there. I have 2 Aristos coming from Japan grade 4 and they both cost me around 27k and that's with maintenance and storage until import.

Or the Supra is half Aristo and Lexus SC 300/400 Coupe(300 has the 2JZ. And the Supra A80 MK4 literally came from the SC 400/300)
I bought a JZS161 as a daily to go with my JZA80. Such a great car for a daily. Quality and comfort. This one reviewed is a base model. You will be more impressed with the heated leather seats, rear electric shade and auto air freshener. Very JDM.
Mate picked up one for a bargain $1200 for n/a model 2J GS300 Lexus that is and he knows what he's got he's not selling it. At the moment he is building the bottom end for boost.👍

I have a chevy trailblazer currently and want a fast fun second vehicle and iv narrowed down the choices between a chevy camaro SS around 2012 or an early 2000s lexus gs300 that I'll build to the same specs replicating the twin turbo JDM Aristo making around 400 horsepower. It's hard to decide but I'm leaning towards the GS300 cuz it would be more practical and a really badass sleeper sedan.
Very recently, I was deciding between this model Aristo and the VF SSV Redline series 2. I brought the redline instead but I plan on adding an Aristo still in the future! Best of both worlds ❤
I've had both cars have the Aristo currently I think I prefer the V8 it's a little easier to handle sideways

My mate just bought the first gen aristo and he is loving it, bit more head room than this generation, 6'4 and we had to lean the seats back. But the one in the video has the vvti version which has more torque down low, yet the first gen has a veilside kit which looks absolutely nuts, these cars could be capable of walking away from anything on the streets... im so keen
I actually had two of these at one point. I kinda regret selling my first one because it was so nice. But after a couple of weeks driving it I was just bored. Back then it was my only car so I wanted something more fun but now with a fleet I do wish I didn’t sell it 🤦🏾

I have the gs300 over here in America and with some slight modifications the thing actually handles pretty decent it’s no 240sx but I’ve got my slammed on coil overs adjusted my preload and dampening and it does great on the curvy back roads she needs boost tho
Get a decent LSD my 2001_S160 slides effortless now all engine "bolt ons" an full sway/strut bars on full ride tech bags it's hilarious
An Aristo or JZX110 would be an ideal underrated daily

Cool cars though, and not many people knew what it was. Also pwr button just holds gears longer, doesn’t “change engine mapping”. And the power level on stock twins gets old after a while tbh.

There is no comparison lol. But seriously the difference is one has more tuning potential, which would be the 2jz.
I got a gs400 last year and already put 38k miles on it. Best car I've ever had by far! I love my GS 💙💙

Just wanted to get an estimate on how much it’s worth, thinking about getting it back running and selling it if the price is right

I can do it for you they go good use heaps of fuel when the second turbo kicks in around corners it is very scary sound good with an exhaust did I say used heaps of fuel if ever breaks down get the wallet out I had one . Silver 5spd twin turbo b4 rsk

Have one on 3piece wheels, full suspension and slammed w full front end aristo. However it is a car that transmission goes bad and its common (already swapped mine) and among other things that to bad like the abs computer or etc. it is however dope it came out w a 2j then a 4.0 and a 4.3 for those who dont know.
this isnt the 1st aristo with a 2jz gte, this is the successor, the original was like 1991

I'm on my 3rd gs in the past 6yrs....the US GS300 as slow as it may be by today's standards, it's still a very fun car to drive and depending which one you can find you can get stock navigation that will still work great Today! And the shifters on the steering wheel which adds another level of enjoyment...it is also a great car for ppl that are tall lol...doesn't take much to make them look beautiful and sound beautiful....unfortunately to do the 2j swap and all has become ridiculously expensive but you can always go the NA T route....for a daily you don't really need anything over 400-450 I would say lol
Honestly, I'm on the fence. The GS300 is always good, but a GS400 seems like it'd be a little bit better.

I just recently picked one up. I have a question about the audio set up. Did the owner have the "nav/tv" unit then do a switch out with a usdm/JDM climate control and after market headunit? Or was it purchased like that?
Some came with single din. screen was an option we are stuck with factory all inclusive screen

U can find the Aristo as a S300 with a 2jz GE for as low as 10k, maybe even lower if u can find it but the V300 with the GTE can cost between 15k-25k. U could probably get it cheaper if you import yourself from Japan.

@@pnwsmoke6758eh kinda, u can find Aristos with the GTE under 100k miles for around the same price. 130k isn't too bad since its a 2j and 130k isn't even half of the engine's lifespan but you can definitely find an Aristo with like 80k miles for like 17k-18k. If you plan on getting an Aristo, never settle for the first one you see. Always look for more.
