Bro the design for the Venom is Awesome! I like the repaint, and the choice of blue on the eyes. I'm commenting as I'm watching! From what I've seen, this is already some incredible work! I've been working on some custom lego Minifigures of mine. I think they are pretty good. I got all the inspiration from you!
You are very clever to change the way you fix the veins. It saves time and makes the veins more realistic. You do not just have talent in arts but also in other areas. 👍👍
Hi Ken! I got my Venom in the mail and I think it was a KO but it wasn’t too bad. The same problems on yours was on mine and I used some of your improvements and I’m really happy with the result! It looks even better than the original! Thank you Ken!
You have made many figures look cooler and handsomer. This time you have made Venom more evil and scary. You are very successful. Venom becomes the evil of the evils.
I love this work you have done on the figure. I am pretty sure you got a knockoff figure as such issues aren't usually there on the original figure. However, you fixed it and it was great. I am planning on buying 2 of these guys. One I will fix the same way you did and the other I will try to add the Spiderman logo on it like the comics. Your work is really great and is gonna make me do my first ever repaint on a figure. How did you paint the teeth as they were not completely white, more like off white. May I know what paints and colors you used on the figure ? Are they all acrylic paints ? I literally have no clue about painting figures so I would be very happy if you could help me out. Also keep up the great work. You just got yourself a new subscriber.
I use dollar store acrylic paint on my figures haha. I recommend getting familiar with the paint and brushes first so you have more control on how the paint gets distributed. I also prefer working with thin layers and slowly building up the colours. I used light blue for the eyes and a cream-like colour for the teeth. As for the varnish, I have the varnish I used listed in the description box in my recent videos. Hope this helps!
Amazing job bro I got the KO one by accident as well and once I receive it I plan to do the same like what you’ve done 🙌🏼 Is there any chance that you can recommend me where to buy the black paint & the blue you used for eyes? What kind as well :) 🙏🏼
@@KenIMakeIt For sure thank you I was thinking about spray painting it with a gloss black and then doing the same thing you did with the eyes because that came out sick
With the Venom figure I have, all I did was repaint the gums and teeth to look a little cleaner, and changed the gums from pink to red. So to say the least, I kind of took a page out of your book, Ken.
On the other hand yours did look kinda off so i guess it was a knock off, but you did a fantastic Job with it as usuall..he looks awesome now, i was thinking of customizing the eyes on myn a little too, to make it more movie accurate .
I doubt you had a knock off but more of a figure riddled with QC paint issues , my venom had sculpting issues but only seen when you really pay enough attention to it
🤔🤔I’ve never thought about using acetone! I think it’s because I fear doing irreversible “damages” to my figures. With acrylic paint I feel like I can always undo any mistakes.
@@KenIMakeIt I had that same fear but through trial and error, I discovered that if you use a *very* sparing amount of acetone on a pointed Q-tip(you can find these in makeup shops usually), you can strip paint without stripping any plastic. It can take a while depending on how much paint you are trying to remove but I have found this method very helpful.
You should do this more often, there's some bootleg that are good but have bad paint jobs. And also some brands like (Marvel Select and ZD Toys) that has BIIIIG problems when painting human faces.
You definitely got a third party. I’m like 99.999% sure you got a 3rd party. I just watched a review of the comparison of the real and the third party. Good thing you’re good enough with paint to fix jt
Yeah I'm pretty sure that was a bootleg. Thankfully some bootlegs aren't that bad and are on par with the real thing when it comes to posing and how well they stick together. If you're good at painting a bootleg can be a great alternative if the real ones are too stupid a price.
Being you have a Bootleg it’s paint is a lot more wishy washy imo. The eyes being off, teeth not same, no serial number, white lines are brighter too. Good work what you did though
There shouldnt be any marvel legends bootlegs to my knowledge...i mean i once heared about a Pizza Spidey bootleg but other than that you never really see or hear about mlegends bootlegs, as far as i know..its defenently not like with the import stuff, mafex, figuarts....
You’ve got a bootleg/KO right there pal- a good one but the quality is nowhere near the actual
NOoooo :( I knew it! The paint job wasn’t great
Any way to tell which ones a Ko? I ordered one from entertainment earth. They're reliable tho so I hope they ship an official.

@@KenIMakeIt yep, but it does turn out pretty great! I made a video on one of my customs and it went viral! It passed 23k views!

Cool custom, and yeah you definitely have a bootleg one, cause it doesn't have the serial number on the back of the right leg, on top of the poor QC.
When you add some of the details of venom you make him look amazing

@@KenIMakeIt Yeah! They are so fun to paint and make more accurate and its so satisfying when you see the result you’ve been wanting!
this is definitely the ko. where did you get it from? aliexpress?
Wow! It came out great! My venom also had a defect, his closed mouth head had an unpainted eye, so I had to paint it in myself.
The blue on the eyes nails it! Great work!
An excellent improvement job! The eyes and veins look much better after your skilful repaint. Awesome!

I think that figure doesn't need any paint job. But I like your upgrading GREAT JOB.
