      Quick question for you, I hear a lot of feedback of people saying the edges of the display look blurry (Xreal Air 2), is this the case for you? It's difficult to come to a consensus on blurriness issues as I imagine these are very sensitive to your eyesight.

    • @thedeveloperadam
      @thedeveloperadam  2 місяці тому +3

      Thanks man much appreciated!
      Yes so all the glasses I’ve tried so far are blurry around the edges that’s why the nebula app is so good because you can move your head around and focus on specific points much like you would with a MQ3.
      When just displaying a single fixed screen the edges will be blurry as it’s all about how the glasses fit on your face

    Great video. I bought a pair the other day. I feel like it might be my face / nose / eyes or something but I feel like they are a bit too blurry for actually working. I got a pretty headache using them for work for just an hour of two yesterday.
    I’m thinking about selling them (bought used so can’t return) and picking up a meta quest 3. Is there anything on the horizon that you think would be a better fit for this, my use case is just programming on the couch (not even for a whole day necessarily) and maybe watching tv / movies in bed, the gaming would also be a nice plus.

    Thank you so much for your review! May I know among META QUEST 3 vs. XREAL AIR 2 (OR 2 PRO) which one do you think is the current MOST productive one for working during the day, especially regarding multi-screen tasks? Especially regarding multi-screen tasks when it comes to screen clarity (close to monitor level? use that to do coding tasks or heavy documentation? I guess that is the most important concern for me. Seems that in terms of the ease of use, and the pain for wearing a longer time, it might have won Quest 3 in the long run?
    Also, the build quality is a bit of my concern, seems meta quest is much more stable and hard to break and they have a very standard line of repairing, not sure whether xReal air may provide something of that level if it breaks.
    And lastly, I am curious whether you are using XREAL or QUEST 3 for a long run (like a week or a month), especially regarding that you have published your video for QUEST review for some time. And if you need to choose one to work for long run (like daily basis), would you choose either of these, or using both of these to replace monitors is just not a good idea at all?

    Great video, man. I've been thinking about getting one of these, but unfortunately I have no way to test them to know how they really look. My doubt about these kinds of glasses is how sharp are they? How do they look on the edges? As I'd use them to code so I need them to have a clear image all around. Could you add some details on that matter, please?

    • @thedeveloperadam
      @thedeveloperadam  2 місяці тому +2

      I think they’re pretty sharp in all honesty considering they’re not 4k they’re crisp enough to code on as you can see here I spent the entire day with no issues.
      If you’re not using the nebula app and just proving the edges are blurry but if you use the nebula desktop app you can look/move around so there are no blurred edges.
      “Immersed” are actually bringing out a 4k pair of glasses soon I believe would be interesting to see the difference.
      But these for coding totally fine imo but again everyone has different opinions on things like this so it’s hard to say for sure

  • @raz_dva_
    @raz_dva_ 28 днів тому +1

    Thanks! Could you please highlight couple of points - how coding text feels after MBpro retina? (It’s really painful to look at pixelated texts after apple monitors) and how it works with desktops gestures? (I got used having 5-9 desktops on MB and swipe between them, reorder, etc)
    Would like to extend my single screen to many monitors but this concern about pixels and static desktops stops me for years. Also this bulky workspace is not for me - I like to change workspace multiple times a day - sofa, bed, cafe, pool, train, plain.
    Trying to decide is this XREAL 2 good enough or better wait or find other options.
    Thanks again!

    Any comment on having these on your head along with a nice headset like a Polycom 4310 or 4320? I talk on the phone constantly when I work, and using a high quality headset (with microphone array noise cancellation) is crucial. But when I'm on a laptop, I'd love to have the second monitor capability. It looks a bit like the ear part of the headset would squish your ear against the edge of the glasses.

    I wholeheartedly agree that you definitely need to do many more videos comparing the Air 2 and Quest 3. Primarily, as these are the two products that most people down this path conclude are their choices but stuck at that crossroads of deciding.
    The Quests have seen a huge resurgence following the Vision Pro launch and people realizsing they are unaffordable plus the Air 2 glasses have been enjoying a lot of virality recently so jumping on the bandwagon will surely help with channel growth by riding the momentum.
    (It really would help you if you spent 20 quid on a small camera that is capable of getting right in to film the lenses as I've not seen anyone do that effectively yet.)

      Nice one. You seem like a thoroughly decent chap who hasn't yet been bitten by the UA-camr disease of acting like a UA-camr, so, keen to watch more of your videos. Unfortunately, I cannot actually subscribe because you are an Apple user.
      With a slight degree of banter of course, advanced non-Mac users see Mac users as borderline sub-human for the stupidity of stifling their tech capabilities by locking themselves into such a restrictive ecosystem, amongst a plethora of other detrimental attributes.
      But don't take it to heart as we totally get that Mac users are very much like religious people and so we completely understand most are unable to see beyond their indoctrination - ha!
      (All you really need is someone to demonstrate just how much more exponentially capable a non-Apple box is and I'm confident you wouldn't touch an Apple again in your lifetime.)

    • @mawvius
      @mawvius Місяць тому +2

      Even Windows will do all that of a Mac, just Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. I'm not necessarily talking about out of the box stuff (as Mac users are accustomed to) but more so stuff achieved by those in the know.
      It always makes me giggle when Apple releases some new, fantastical, shiny ' groundbreaking' feature which 99.9% of the time, non-Apple users have been utilising the same or better feature for typically about a decade beforehand. That is so consistently the case and because you are an intelligent human being, I predict that it will just be a matter of time before you eventually completely ditch Apple that is simply what logic dictates. Maybe you'll remember this thread, who knows.

    1. How does the Air 2 compare to Air (first version) do they function similarly in terms of screen display and comfort level?
    2. The nebula app case you mentioned in this video was it totally functional without the help of XREAL BEAM? (meaning that I do not need to purchase a separate X real beam to get the same setting of the unfolded three screams when I just plug my x real air into Mac)
    Also kinda curious to know when the new videos are to come since I am really struggling to compare the Quest 3 and XREAL approximately hahaha
