I just ordered one of these. Since the video was posted I know Moore has updated this with Micro Drummer 2 but I think this will fill my needs. And to quote Nigel Tufnel “this one goes to eleven”.
Thanks Rod. I’ve struggled to find a video review of this pedal in English. Your short and concise summary educated me on everything I needed to know. Cheers mate :)
Thanks. I'm not sure when the production models were released, but this is the only demonstration I could find on UA-cam that actually provided audio. So your efforts are helpful. If anyone from Mooer is reading this, It would be nice if you could find some space on the pedal to display BPM (a big "ask" for a micropedal)..
Thanks, Shiv. There is now a video of two guys playing guitar over one which may be more useful but I haven't watched it through, yet. I think Mooer would argue that with a 'tap tempo' facility, the actual BPM is less than essential.
Many thanks for your kind comments, Jim. I'm certainly totally independent and I created this video because when I wanted to buy this unit, there wasn't a demonstration anywhere.
Thanks so much Rod for a good overview of this new pedal. I've been eyeing this pedal for some time now as a possible practice tool, but I've been wanting to see a video demonstration before I purchased one. I've got a high-quality acoustic guitar amp (AER Compact 60) that I plan to plug this pedal into while I practice electric guitar (mostly blues) through another amp. Do you know if the Micro Drummer include a blues shuffle pattern?
I would say not, although the definition of what constitutes a 'shuffle' pattern is a little vague. Most of the beats are designated as 4/4 with a couple of 6/8 My Korg Pandora multi-effect has a much better range of rhythm styles including some labelled shuffle and some timings like 5/4 and 7/4 but I never use them because they are (to my mind) so fiddly to access. The 'funk' setting on the Micro Drummer may have something similar to what you're after. The Mooer may not be right for you.
No, it sounds clear as a bell. As I say elsewhere, I run it into my mixer and on into a P.A. system, so the sound is pretty good. On the demo above, I use a studio monitor, which would clearly reflect any distortion.
just got one, played around with it, don't like it much but I just need to spend more time with it, maybe plug into my pa because it sounds like crap into the amp
Yes, I felt that being able to put it into your pedal chain was a 'gimmick'. In fairness, it needs to be compared to the drum machines included in other multi-effects pedals rather than a bespoke drum machine. At that level, I find it easier to use ~ so I shall use it more and plugged directly into a mixing desk, I have been quite impressed with the sound. You should be able to hear the various levels of reverb. it includes in each patch ~ if you can't hear this from your amp. then it definitely needs to be fed into your P.A.
You can use this just like any other effects pedal, so it can be in your effects chain into your amp input. Used this way, it needs to be the last item in the chain, otherwise any effects will be applied to the drum sound too. It has standard 'in' and 'out' jacks.

Excellent review and responses to comments.I hope you do more videos, you come across as a genuine bloke.

Thanks for explaining in English...all the other video's and my manual are in German !
Thanks 👏
Hey Rod, any idea how I can revert back to the original default factory settings?
Thank you, sir. Very good.
Alex, thank you for taking the time to comment. Appreciated.

Hey Rod, thanks for the review. Do you hear any audio distortion on your speakers? Always hard to tell over you tube. Want a very clean sound.

Good for practicing in your room
Yes, I think that's the application its best suited for.
thanks
Glad you enjoyed it. As you may have guessed, I'm no professional!

Can i use it with my main amp while playing guitar as well or should it be through another amp alone

Great review. Thank you
