Lisa, I love your videos. I have been learning lenormand for several weeks and your videos really help. I ordered both of your books; however, they are on back order. I can't wait to receive them. Thanks for all you do.
Ah the house card! It used to trip me up big time. I would associate it with family and then personal affairs and private matters. No wonder I was so confused on it at one time. I also always think of the Root Chakra when seeing the house now.
It would depend on the other cards and whether the cards are supposed to be describing what he doesn't like about you. If you don't specify that in the question and your card doesn't appear, then you're just asking for his reason. Think about that a moment - if you only asked why he broke up with you and the House is one of the cards, it may tell you that he has a reason at home or he's too traditional or is ready to start a family or wants someone that would be a better fit with his family, etc. If it's actually describing you and falls next to the Tree - you may be too boring for him. It's more likely saying that you're too traditional or conservative -you know, a real "square"!
Few people live with their entire families (aunts, uncles, cousins). Some people live with a roommate or a partner, but not their families. The House represents your personal life and what goes on behind closed doors. The Lily is actually the card of family HARMONY, which is why it's the card of bliss and satisfaction. Both cards have a King court inset that might be used to represent a father or male relative. You can use either card to represent family, but most readers use the House to represent only those who live under the same roof.

It refers to the Root Chakra a lot for me because of all of the spiritual readings I do. 🏡
What deck does the card with the puppy sleeping on top of the house belong to?
That's a Portuguese deck from www.lojasortelenormand.com.br
For example; When wanting a reason why someone broke up with me, how would I interpret the house? To boring?
