    Hi everyone! I just want to clarify that this guitar is manufactured in South Korea and NOT Indonesia like I kept saying in the video. Some Schecters are manufactured in Indonesia, but not this one. Sorry for the mixup (I even zoomed in on the "made in" stamp in the video and still said the wrong thing!). Cheers!

    They still sell them. I bought one for Christmas, for myself.
    I colored the headstock, to match the body. And even tho you all like the neck, I changed that as well.

    Def one of the greatest Guitars in your collection. But you know i love your Kramer Guitars 😄😍, Kramer was my first ever Axe, and the Neck my Metalist has is same some of your have. I listened to an arp of your videos , was a three string Arpeggio between, A Minor, C Maj, G Maj and B Dim, you played on the Kramer, the typical sweeping character like my has. But this Schecter sounds best on the Bridge. The Trem is a dream and it is in the best shape a guitar can be. have a great day brother in shred 🙌🔥💯💯💯 great videos dex!

      @Dex Deimos Sorry for my late response my bro! Iam in a complicated relationship so to speak 🤔😄, must have been 7 or 10 days till now since i was on insta online. Currently i learned more to be variable if solo improvising, but yes the sweeping technique i repeated million times a day over a very long time. But i heard sweeping from you, it is more then good enough to compete anyone. Also, you have soooo much guitars, they all differ in handling and String action hight (or what was the word in English). Also Tremolos are horrible if you try clean picking and sweeping, but who wants to play Gibson. Btw. Your tip for a guitar teacher was a great one for me. Another buddy told me to participate in several guutar workshops. But i have no car and dont like driving by Train, need to search for online workshops and Ive seen that Paul Gilbert does such Workshops. Buddy, Hope to see you on insta soon. Iam coming back if in better health, hope you guys have not forgotten me at least. Greetings to Natasha if you talk to her. But i think she is not missing me 😸, she had made dozens of new Reels i bet.

    I find Schecters to be very nice guitars... I've never owned one, but a buddy of mine has a few and whenever I've played his, they really are nice to play. When I was looking for my new guitar a few years ago, I came across the exact guitar you have at a Guitar Center and it felt really nice to play, but the fret ends weren't too great (which isn't a big deal, I can file those down if needed.) but the biggest problem I had was the location of the pickup selector. No matter how much I tried, my playing style caused my right hand to slam into it. I REALLY wanted to like that guitar, but I just couldn't get around hitting the switch. So I ended up with a 350.00 Jackson, which is an amazingly nice guitar for the money and most recently I picked up a 2021 Charvel San Dimas HSS configuration in Blizzard Pearl. It's a Mexico made Charvel and it's an incredibly well made instrument...

    • @dexdeimos425
      @dexdeimos425  2 роки тому +1

      I could totally see that being a thing! I still find I have to be super careful with my right hand when I'm playing any of my Fender strats for this very reason. It's super annoying when you've got a good funky groove going on up in the neck position, and then get a little overzealous and find yourself suddenly blasting everyone from the bridge position! Haha. Rock on brother - the new San Dimas line looks incredible!

    I have this same exact guitar color and all. It was a birthday gift 2 years ago. I had been gushing over it for a few years and couldn't justify a Charvel when this Schecter has the same specs, but with EMGs and the color is awesome. I've played a few Charvels and I have to say that the Schecter is way better in my opinion. My Schecter is heavy. The EMG hot 70s are amazing for everything from EVH, ZZ Top to Slipknot. The neck is amazing. I like the Floyd Special on my Schecter better than my guitars with OFRs and 1000 series bridges. Great guitar.

    Very nice review mate!
    Just one correction.. In my opinion, those frets are NOT Stainless steel. They are regular crappy nickel frets.
    I wanted to buy this guitar, but saw the specs on schecter's website and sadly they are normal frets and not SS.
    This is the only reason for me not buying it.

    • @dexdeimos425
      @dexdeimos425  2 роки тому

      Thanks - glad you liked the review. These frets very well could be nickel. They are very slippery feeling to play, which is probably what had me thinking they were SS. I'd definitely defer to whatever Schecter has listed on their website though. Cheers!

      I'm with you on that 100%! That's the only part of this guitar that I'm not crazy about, although I do like the sound of these EMGs. I've seen quite a few people pick these up used and then swap out the pups for some passive ones. I might end up doing that in a few years if I get tired of changing these batteries. Haha!

      I just realized I didn't answer you about the Kramer '84. The one I have is an older model with the much fatter neck - like baseball bat big. I hear the new ones are very different in neck shape (slim). I like the one I have but it is a very different animal altogether. It weighs a ton too - probably double this Schecter. It's really throwback to old school axes, so does not have the nice ergonomic touches you'll find on the Schecter but still a great axe. One thing I will say though, is that the sound of my Baretta '84 is incredible - it absolutely sings. Cheers!

    Hi, I'm torn between this guitar and the Ibanez 370ahmz. Which one would be better in terms of versatility, tuning stability, and tone?

    • @dexdeimos425
      @dexdeimos425  2 роки тому

      I haven’t played that particular Ibanez, but I can say for certain, once this Schecter is tuned, it stays in tune with some extreme abuse. I will say that the humbuckers will do 70s and 80s rock/metal well, can clean up for some jazz, but are not in a super versatile configuration. They sound quite dark. You definitely can’t get funk or that SRV blues tone out of them. I like them, but have had some Ibanez models in HSH configuration before that I would say are far more diverse sonically. Good luck with the decision! 🎸🎸

    • @dexdeimos425
      @dexdeimos425  18 днів тому

      I suppose that depends on the Ibanez neck. I’m not a massive fan of the super slim wizard necks, so I definitely prefer this, BUT, if we factor in the Roadstar II series, that gets a bit tricker (I love those necks - but they’re definitely beefier than this profile! 🤔). Cheers! 🍻🎸

    Rat! too bad their singer is almost as out of it as Don Dokken now. I love that the pick guard isn’t gloss. So are you a Canadian Schecter Gawd Nick Johnston fan? I’ve listen to everything he has on UA-cam many times, very unique.
