I've always wondered why maisons never made a date window in the same shape as the large hour markers. Finally, someone who gets it. It's beautiful. This will be my first Kickstarter watch.
I love this design. I usually dont like date windows at 3, but this one makes it work with the same shape of indices at the other cardinal positions. Nice hour hand and dial texture too.
Thanks for keeping us entertained with the amazing content Jody💪🏼 I got into watch collecting because of this channel and still base many of my purchases on your content. The collection is coming along nicely🙂. Warmest Regards 🇿🇦
Love the design and the execution but I totally agree with your comments in the review. Would have been nice to see the internal bezel in action as its a large part of the design.
Had the privilege to review the Nautilus and to talk quite a bit with Fred (and even meet one of his cousins 😂). He is a brilliant and humble man with a great passion to what he does (and he does it well).
Lovely watch. I bought the Zebec Corsair ZC1 when I saw the review on your channel. I actually bought the green watch. I'm still very happy with it, but I sometimes miss a date window. The Pilgrim would solve this. Great video as always. 👍
I really like art deco style stuff, and the dial looks good. I really like the multi-piece case too, very interesting. But.. the wide bezel combined with the big inner rotating bezel, just makes it feel like there's a lot of empty space on the watch.
On FIRE! 🔥 What a great design and dial layout. The integrated date complication is slick, and adding luminescence to it was a classy touch...keeps it in character!
Case looks really nice, the dial size was the first thing that struck me, a slimmer bezel might have made the proportions look better. It looks far better on the bracelet, I like the straight end link especially, gives it a bit of character and having an SW200 instead of an NH35 inside means its actually going to be pretty good at telling the time. Looking forward to see how the pilot's watch turns out.
Because of your channel, I now own Spinnakers. And Phoibos without you getting the word out there regarding micro brands we would all be stuck with Seiko’s (which I have a few) G shocks and Casio’s Citizens and accurist, and yes I have a few But you showed me the light, and what you can get on a budget. Thank you
This is a beauty. Really like the whole design and how he hides that date window by integration into the whole design. Not something we see very often. For too many watches including the most expensive the date window is an afterthought, more about where to put it rather than how to put it. This will be a winner.
Wow, this is great. I've been looking for a green watch, I'm not keen on the colour blue but with this I prefer it! I think ill wait to see what other watches come before making any hasty decisions. This is really something new and fantastically designed
Brilliant design, and love the date integrated into the position. Wish it was a tad thinner with less of a bezel. The straight link bracelet looks like an afterthought. Thanks for sharing Jody.
That is quite an interesting watch. Curiously it is the blue one I'm drawn too and that is rather unusual for me. I am generally a green watch person. The only way to resolve my conflict, I guess, will be to buy both. Great review Jodi!
The Art Deco case is gorgeous. I agree that the dial is a bit small, but I love the way the date window fits the theme. The case though, it's one of the best looking cases I've seen in years.
I just bought a Nautilus Bronze Red and have a Pilgrim "Young Captain Edition" that arrives shortly.. Its a great watch! I am a fan of 20,000 leagues under the sea also, so the little touches that tie in with the story also interest me a lot..
My favourite features are the custom date wheel and it's integration in the dial. But I agree, I'm neither a fan of compressor style divers because of the tiny dial.
I know nothing about Art Deco nor steampunk. However, the watch is very interesting. Crazy case, best date window implementation, WOW. Thanks for the video Jody and give the watch a proper video.
Another cracking review, Jody. I'm with you on your thoughts about the inner bezel being far too wide, significantly impinging on the dial real estate. The bracelet looks like an afterthought, without fitted endlinks it actually looks a bit odd. Not a fan of the hour hand. Innovative design of the 4 trapezoidal indices, with the date window not looking out of place or unbalancing the look of the dial. A few hits and a few misses for this one. Still, a brand to keep an eye on in future.
Jody, you bring up a good point. I've been waiting for Art Deco to make a reappearance. To me personally, that was a high-water mark in design. The same with Streamline Moderne which was roughly similar.
whaou, what a great design! i usually liké compressor style but Here it's a Real chunky one. beautiful original design, i love it!!! thanks Jody for this review...
I really like it. I think it would have looked even better with a larger face and smaller bezel. I would def consider this as collection worthy. Merci!
Great! More power to him. Perhaps his future designs might go even more ART DECO and vintage. Ive always wanted a LAVENTURE... maybe this man can make watches like that available
Just took a look and I will be getting a bronze nautilus. These are without a doubt the most unique and well thought out watches for these prices I have seen. My god they are just gorgeous
Fabulous looking watch. Love the case design and integration of the date is genius. Dial is great, handset is cool. Box sapphire is nice. SW200 a great touch. I see myself buying one for sure.
Green one on green rubber is absolutely fantastic looking! I'd go so far as to say I prefer it over something like the green Alpinist. Of course the price tag helps, ha Nice video mate x
"Empire State Building Meets Steam Punk" that's a very good analogy, too kind but very applicable. I wouldn't even buy it for a friend, but I would buy an Eterna Kon-Tiki anytime.
It would have been nice to see the operation of the inner rotating bezel. I can see from on of the images that it is a screw down crown, but it still would have been nice to see how well it rotates.
I like the design overall, and what a nice job with the date! I never hear anyone else voice this complaint, only the opposite, but I don’t get minute hands that extend to the far side of the markers (or sometimes beyond). I agree on the straight bracelet end links, it always looks like you picked up a generic, one size fits all bracelet, when I can see that quite a bit of thought went into this one otherwise.
I like it, legibility is good considering the small looking face, you sold me when you said rubber strap. Really lively symmetry. Signed crowns don’t do much for me but add mess. Art Deco rules, which is why the Cartier Santos is so cool.
Love the 12-6-3-9. Love the overall look. If it had a thinner bezel and a larger dial in black, it would be on my short list. Very interested in seeing more!
It is very close, for me ... but going to have to pass due to that "double bezel" and its impact on the actual dial size. No mention of the internal bezel action? Bi-directional? Number of clicks/detents, if any?
Those lugs are excellent. Double stepped. The bracelet is perfect so I'd put up with the fitment. I really like it. 👍 You are more fussy than me. Which I really appreciate.
Great video, as always Jody! A very nice and unique watch! The lume is awesome and the matching date window with the hour markers only compliments the design. Would love to get this one.
A clever and unique design that works well. I'd still put it on a Barton silicone strap because their end strap keeper is almost at the end of the strap. If the original buckle from the watch could work on the Barton strap, even better.
I think maybe Peter Kotsa showed this watch off a little while ago. I think maybe the main niggle might be the weight, as well. Surprisingly, if not unnecessarily, heavier than maybe it should or could be. It's pretty good looking and thoughtful design. I would have also preferred a fitted endlink bracelet..straight endlinks only work if the lugs are cut straight or notched out where you don't have as much of a mismatch of shapes and unnecessary gaps.
Nice design very different to what is out there. My only niggle would be the length of the second hand (just a little too long) and the bracelet. It needs a fitted bracelet at that price together with an adjustable clasp. I wish Fred every success at the launch I’m sure it will sell well
I love it. The only thing I don’t like is the end links on the bracelet and I don’t think there should be the numbers at 12,6 & 9. The third of every month would mess me up looking for the date. Lol.
I concur about the bracelet. If you're going to do a date window at 3 you better make it work and this one does...but please consider moving it to 6! Cool watch and I'd strongly consider a pledge/purchase a tad cheaper (with a Miyota maybe) and a terrific bracelet.
This watch is so good! I'm currently I love with 38mm and smaller but I might buck that trend for this one. The weight is off-putting, I'll have to give it some thought.
Great review again Jody, Internal rotating bezels are wasted on me I'm afraid, would be nicer to have more dial to see than another ring to twiddle with 🤭
Like it or not (I do), it just shows how a really good designer can take inspiration from an existing class of watches but still come up with something new. San Martin could do with this guy.
Very nice watch and review, Jody. I really like this compressor look. But a little small dial, steel bracelet not adjusted to the case and not adjustable on the wrist leave me unmoved. A Miyota 9015 would have allowed a lower price more in line with the concept of a micro-brand watch. Unless, like Di Renzo, Horizon is targeting a slightly more premium sector. Kisses from Normandy.😉🇨🇵
Bought a dual crown compressor style before and it's not for me, but the execution here seems great and I'm curious to see what a pilot style watch with this aesthetic will be like.
I came very close to backing the first release from Fred on KS but just didnt at the last minute. I love the design, but its not a watch that could really be called a daily because of it, and this falls into the same category for me. I love what he is doing, and wish him nothing but the best, but I will probably sit out this particular watch. That said..... a Jules Verne inspired pilots watch is one that I might not actually be able to resist!
I've always wondered why maisons never made a date window in the same shape as the large hour markers. Finally, someone who gets it. It's beautiful. This will be my first Kickstarter watch.
I'm not crazy about his overall asthetic but I do really like how he integrates the date window so seamlessly on his own watches.
I love this design. I usually dont like date windows at 3, but this one makes it work with the same shape of indices at the other cardinal positions. Nice hour hand and dial texture too.
Nice that the designer actually put some thought into the date wheel. The color and numeral match is a great touch.
Thanks for keeping us entertained with the amazing content Jody💪🏼 I got into watch collecting because of this channel and still base many of my purchases on your content. The collection is coming along nicely🙂. Warmest Regards 🇿🇦
Thanks for watching mate! I'm named after one of your countrymen by the way....
Sooo many beautiful little touches combine to create a trully original design! Excellent!
Yeah he is a top guy.
He's a rich jerk!
Thank you for the review Jody ! It's always good to hear constructive criticism .
It’s classy, glorious design notes, I love the art deco looks
Very well designed watch. I wish Fred all the very best! ❤
I love the originality and build. Thank you featuring such a broad range of manufacturers, Jody.
Lovely watch. I bought the Zebec Corsair ZC1 when I saw the review on your channel. I actually bought the green watch. I'm still very happy with it, but I sometimes miss a date window. The Pilgrim would solve this. Great video as always. 👍

On FIRE! 🔥 What a great design and dial layout. The integrated date complication is slick, and adding luminescence to it was a classy touch...keeps it in character!
Wow, they're beautiful! Love the green one...
That date window is GENIUS!
This is sweet, super different, and greatly executed. That case is just something else, and even that dial has some JLC polaris vibes.
Case looks really nice, the dial size was the first thing that struck me, a slimmer bezel might have made the proportions look better. Nice review Jodi. Love that you bring attention to a brand that most people don’t know.
What a beauty! I love the depth of those indices. 👍
Wow, this is great. I've been looking for a green watch, I'm not keen on the colour blue but with this I prefer it! I think ill wait to see what other watches come before making any hasty decisions. This is really something new and fantastically designed
I really like this one, especially on the rubber strap.
I’m with you on the blue over green. To me it’s a bit more subdued.
The Art Deco case is gorgeous. I agree that the dial is a bit small, but I love the way the date window fits the theme. The case though, it's one of the best looking cases I've seen in years.
That must be the best integrated date window I have ever seen! Well done indeed 👏
I just bought a Nautilus Bronze Red and have a Pilgrim "Young Captain Edition" that arrives shortly.. Its a great watch! I am a fan of 20,000 leagues under the sea also, so the little touches that tie in with the story also interest me a lot..
1:29 - - I really like how the 6, 9 and 12 numerals are framed the same as the date over at the 3. ⌚😎🤙
Stunning watch! I like the layering on the dial and bezel. At first look it's a big thumbs up from me.
Great vid as always jody, not so keen on this one but nice to see something a little different from a relative newcomer tot he market
Hi Jody,
I like the solution for the date window! It’s perfect to remain the symmetry of the dial.
Best regards,
Claus
I love it ! Especially the blue on rubber ....
My favourite features are the custom date wheel and it's integration in the dial. But I agree, I'm neither a fan of compressor style divers because of the tiny dial.
These are beautiful. Best date integration I've seen. Cheers!
I know nothing about Art Deco nor steampunk.
However, the watch is very interesting.
Crazy case, best date window implementation, WOW.
Thanks for the video Jody and give the watch a proper video.

I love this date wheel execution. Should be the standard!
This watch just makes me want to go to the beach! I’m really into compressor style watches at the moment.
I really like it. I think it would have looked even better with a larger face and smaller bezel. I would def consider this as collection worthy. Merci!
It's a truely beautiful watch, love the style... I'll take the green one thank you!
Great! More power to him. Perhaps his future designs might go even more ART DECO and vintage. Ive always wanted a LAVENTURE... maybe this man can make watches like that available
Fitted ends for both bracelet and rubber would have been the icing on the cake.
That green dial is stunning, very interesting looking case as well.
Very nice piece, sort of a “patina’d” face with the indices and hands, definitely Art Deco style. Nice. 👍🇨🇦
Green one on green rubber is absolutely fantastic looking! I'd go so far as to say I prefer it over something like the green Alpinist. Of course the price tag helps, ha
Nice video mate x
That is an original and very good-looking watch. His dive watch is also a looker. Great review.
Thanks for the review. Too chunky for me and I don't like that small dial. Interesting look though.
Wow, love this design style!

Best watch I’ve seen in a while when it comes to micros
Love the design, can see it being popular! Good value too when you look at other Sw200 powered watches on the market
Interesting looking piece, I would love for the rubber strap to have been fitted to the case a little better (no gaps).
I like it, legibility is good considering the small looking face, you sold me when you said rubber strap. Really lively symmetry. Signed crowns don’t do much for me but add mess. Art Deco rules, which is why the Cartier Santos is so cool.

Nice watch that seems well built. All the best!
Best 3 o'clock date integration I've seen 👍
It is very close, for me ... but going to have to pass due to that "double bezel" and its impact on the actual dial size. No mention of the internal bezel action? Bi-directional? Number of clicks/detents, if any?
Nice to see micro brands do well . Cheers Jody
Very beautiful! Really like this, might be my first Kickstarter watch.
Those lugs are excellent. Double stepped.
The bracelet is perfect so I'd put up with the fitment.
I really like it. 👍
You are more fussy than me.
Which I really appreciate.
I'm liking the green with the aged lume. It reduces the in-your-face-ness of the chonk.

This looks really cool
The. Man. Behind your favorite micro brands. Just. Started his
It's definitely unique and I dig it.
Your theme music makes my budgie excited!
good lookin watch, the faux patina doesn't match the date's faux patina, but the starch white on the blue looks better anyways
This watch is so good! I'm currently I love with 38mm and smaller but I might buck that trend for this one. The weight is off-putting, I'll have to give it some thought.
Wow up late here in NY in time to catch your latest masterpiece review early in Oz. Fab! 👌 👏
Thanks for watching the channel mate!
@@JustOneMoreWatch love your content BTW I'm another expat Brit like you except I'm a southerner who flew a short hop West......
Love it... but, don't like the retro numerals on the inner bezel. Great video.
This is the best application of a date window. Why can't they all be like this, and yet it has a bracelet with no otf micro adjustment.
Looks really good on the bracelet I think.
Wow. I really like the look of that.
Lovely, he should have a bronze edition too
Great review again Jody, Internal rotating bezels are wasted on me I'm afraid, would be nicer to have more dial to see than another ring to twiddle with 🤭

Jody: a micro-brand that I really like. beautiful design, hopefully after working it out a good price reduction it will sell!
I love it, slightly small face, you're right jody but l really like the bracelet!
Double Diamond works wonders.
