With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
Launch Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Entry Speed - Speed measured at the pins. (What you'd see on your home center MPH screens)
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based on the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

looks like the ball does all the work... easy to throw in that 3rd arrow zone and don't have to hit up on it for response... I would seriously consider putting this in my bag.
I got mine! first 14 lb ball, kicks out ten pin better than any other ball I ever had. Have had short time now, still learning what I can do with it for me personally works best when I can send it 5 - 10 boards right, can also use down in outside, am low rev player. Had many great balls in the past, up to date, this is best one had in a while............brunsnick's review is spot on.

Help me decide lol. I thought I was all set to get the theorem but i love the look of this ball and the ultimate defender. I bowl on a slightly heavier house shot.
Theorem is one of the best in the 7 brands, but if you bowl on heavier oil, maybe the Archetype Hybrid with a stronger core would be ideal

I know no one is going to like me saying this, but on these reviews I would really like to see you also take all the hand out, move way right and roll directly up 6/7 board and show us what the ball can do in the hand of a very low rev straighter style. Though I do love watching you rev it and rotate it, it doesn't tell me anything about what the ball will actually do for the average bowler or a very low rev bowler like myself.
Wouldn’t be very consistent since I never throw it like that. It would be akin to asking a lefty to switch hands and throw it righty.
@@brunsnick Perhaps time to expand the show and bring on a low rev guest bowler on occasion?
@@brunsnick I'm a lefty that is a more speed dominate straighter style 210/215 avg bowler in West MI (just down the road actually) if you ever want to add in a guest for different looks 🤔.
Colors look great. But no matter the brand, just have never had good luck with hybrids. The always leave me single pins, even on good shots.

Just picked one up today. I'll post my opinion after I use it on Tuesday. Liked the video, it gave me some ideas what shots to try.
Bought it‼️‼️Love it. Didn’t practice it until league night. Left 8 -10pins. Missed 2. Left 2 -4pins. Missed 1. Left 1-7pin. Made it. No multiple pins. No splits. 1 clean game. 647. Out of box

I thought the core was a big part of the continuation power of the Archetype solid, and I believe so even more after seeing it wrapped in a hybrid with HK22. This looks like the coast-to-coast ball for bowlers with a higher rev rate. Also for accurate bowlers with medium revs who leave too many corner pins. I said I'm done buying bowling balls, but this might make me score higher. And it's a gorgeous creampuff.

I just picked up the archetype a few weeks ago. Had a 728 last week and 692 in league. High game of 257 so far.

100% agree about Track's current line up. I honestly believe I could create a 6/9 ball arsenal with just Track balls. The only thing they are missing is a urethane but I've always got my purple for that 😂

I've never owned a Track ball until last night when I drilled up a Theorem and Sensor Solid. Can wait to throw them tonight.
Agree 100%. I have 6 track balls and a pitch black.
Sensor solid and Paragon pearl have been my go-to balls since they came out.
How do you see this ball fitting relative to Theorem and Black Widow 3.0?
More angular off the spot, probably in between for overall hook.

This is sharper off the spot for sure, better from inside angles.
I love the look of this ball. I just added the Theorem to my bag (I haven't thrown it yet). Is there enough difference between the Archetype and Theorem to justify adding this ball?
I think there is with response off the spot. Theorem is that more sweeping motion and Archetype Hybrid is more violent and quick. A touch of surface can separate them even more.
Hi Nick, I bowl on a med pattern my rev rate and ball speed is close to yours..love your videos..How would u drill this ball for med patterns..Im thinking a 70 x 4 1/2 ×40 layout..what do u think...Thanks again for the great videos..

When the specto data comes up, is the “entry speed” the speed it hits the pins at? Is that the speed measurement that is usually at the bowling centers?

Currently my asymmetrical balss are katana strike, eternity pi, black widow 3.0. Where would this fit and would it offer something different?
Will likely be cleaner and more flip than what you have.

Is it 2 parts pearl or 2 parts solid, i can easily see the blue is pearl and the black is solid, but I can’t tell for the white
Give me back the original roto grip defiant and track atomic energy those are still my two favorite balls as well as my original black widow pearl threw my first 300 game 15yrs ago with the black widow so im biased but always liked hammer equipment i also like ebonite as well.. never liked storm products they are too long and unpredictable leave a lot of splits with those balls.
Why is your middle index finger hows slanted at a tweaked angle does that help you get under the ball more or get more axis rotation?
Ive tried a friends norm dook style drilling with no fingertips insert i have to say my fingers fit the holes better and i got more lift and it felt good too . If i ever get back into bowling i may go no finger tips insert not sure yet..

Have a Black Widow 3.0 laid out 60x5x45. Would this be a good ball down from that? 480 rev rate 20 mph launch speed. PAP 5.5 over 1/2 up
Yes absolutely. Should pick up right where you left off with a little more length and quicker response when the lanes begin to dry up.
Wow really difficult choice here as a speed dominant player looking for something strong to add to the bag. This or DV8 Violent Collision for tournament use and high friction league use?
This one should be a touch cleaner and more responsive. Both similar though.
Hey nick, u think there is a big enough difference to have this ball and the radical zig zag ? Which is probably my favorite ball right now.
Probably not enough to have both unless the layouts and surface were different.

Hello Brunsnick, is the Archetype Hybrid stronger than the Paragon Pearl?
I think the Paragon Pearl is a little less dramatic off the breakpoint and has a longer hook window.

No not really. Both are angular just saying this ball is quicker off the spot.
With the Hybrid cover, it may be easier to step further left than the solid and have backend recovery.
I think so too. Unless you’re on some super heavy volume.

Not talking trash because I DO like the videos I love to bowl as well but these videos don't offer us much. I only say this because of how insanely easy your house shot is. When you look at the sheet the outside is Completely dry 13 to 1 is so easy ANY ball thrown halfway decent is going to look amazing the layout of the pattern makes it almost useless to us because ANY ball is going to look clutch. Again I think you are very knowledgeable and I can appreciate that the novice crowd wants to see strikes and the manufacturer loves strikes but your 200+ audience would probably agree maybe the 8 to 1 type patters would be better and more interesting. 8 to 1 is still pretty dang easy but would show ball characteristics much better. This patter doesn't show us anything worth while
