- Seeing these low flying airplanes on youtube is one thing, we HAD to see them for ourselves! It was MORE crazy in person! We stayed around for an entire week and what an incredible place to experience for vacation!

It's such a cool place there, visited that place 3 times before on 3 different cruises stopping at that island. Such a fun Beach!

Going on a royal Caribbean cruise in November and this is one of the ports of call. Cant wait to see the planes.
When was this video filmed. I was at maho beach in Sint Maarten right before this time. The United Plane that pushed you from the jet blast I was in. We also went to fort St. Louis in Marigot.

BTW, it's not one of the shortest runways in the world. It's just a very short runway for such large airplanes.

Please visit Bonaire its a Dutch island and there's great Diving Spots! And it almost has the same Airport as Sint Maarten

Been to both sides of the island many times, but haven't been to Airport Beach.. yet....
I love Sint Maarten, I used to travel there for work a lot. The beach with the planes is wild. They used to have a bar on the other side of the beach so you could sit and watch the planes too. SXM is the airport code for Sint Maarten. The French side of the island is beautiful. We’re you able to explore any of the Dutch side other than the airport area?

I was there when you were there the landings were awesome however the 747’s for Air France are retested so not as good as it used to be

I visited Saint Martin a few years ago and never knew about the fact that these airplanes land dangerously close to the beach! I wished I knew about this, but nope, I missed that opportunity.
