I like the music, but I'm actually more trying to figure out wtf is happening in the animation. There's layers of symbolism here and I have no f*cking clue what it meeeeeans
I think the 2D monster is bullied by the others who all go in the same direction. He fantasizes about the 3D girl, but objectifying her into his own 'waifu', as (some of us) do with 2D characters. Then some things happen that I don't understand. Maybe the reason she's his idol is because she's free to be herself, as shown with all the different makeup. At some point he manages to drag her into the 2D world, the same as we would drag a 2D character into the 3D world if we could. With her power he blasts away the [correction] *gray, angry outer shell* of the 2D guys, revealing the richness within each one of them. But the girl is lost and lonely in the 2D world, until she find her 2D B/W alter ego and... marries them? I have no idea what the B/W alter ego means. I'll probably have to watch this 100 times to understand half of it. Oh well :-)

All That I Need had a Waldo as well, in addition to possibly being a warning against the addictive properties of love. I'll See You Again was a flat out story being told - an angel rising to heaven, telling her loved one that he will join her one day, and then they'll be together again. I believe there is some meaningful symbolism here, and I want to know what that is.

Catchiest thing I've heard in the past year! I wonder if the video/song is about loving yourself. I think the 2D woman and the real woman are the same woman (given how similar they look and how they line up in 1:23), and this is a metaphor for learning to do away with self loathing and devote yourself to see the goodness in yourself. Near the end, the worm doesn't kill the monsters, it turns them into cute creatures; I'm wondering if those represent parts of her mind; doubts, fears, anxieties, things she doesn't like about herself, something like that, and so them transforming is her accepting/learning to love those parts of herself. She is her own waifu! Not sure what the worm specifically represents.
You nailed it hahaha, I would say that you're the first comment that said everything very accurate to the original point of view. The worm/dragon represents her willpower, sleeping in the bottom of her heart (a good place) until she is in problems and finally he managed to wake up and comes to save herself.
