Keep the Toto coming
Saw them live in 2024 and still sound great!
I don't doubt that!
I love TOTO been listening since that 70’s.
I love you guys. You should have so many more views.
Thank you so much!
I grew up on this music
I am 61 this year
Jeff Porcaro also played on one entire Dire straits “On every street” album
Its’s called the Purdie Shuffle…..after drummer Bernard Purdie….a half-time shuffle groove….which Jeff Porcaro, the drummer, modified by adding parts of John Bonham’s shuffle from Zeppelin’s Fool in the Rain. If you guys haven’t heard that, you should react to it.
Yes!
@@MoreMeetArthurI don’t know if you saw the part I added about Zeppelin’s Fool in the Rain? You will LOVE the drumming on that if you haven’t heard it.
From the same gig, do Pamela and Stop Loving You for great tunes and musicianship, and Wings of Time because for that one you'll need to add a + to your 100 just for the second guitar solo.
Jeff Porcaro was the drummer…and perhaps THE most in-demand session drummer in LA for decades. His Brother, Steve Porcaro, was the keyboardist in the band.
❤ it!
Us too!
The vocalist here is Joe Williams, son of the legendary composer John. Simon Phillips, the drummer here had the unenviable task of replacing the one and only Jeff Porcaro, and became their longest serving drummer.
You can compare them to other brands, remember they were studio musicians before forming that band
Makes sense why they're so class!
Only the absolute best ever made it to the big stages and sold records in those days. Mediocrity just wasnt possible.
You know Toto was made up of LA session musicians who wanted to,play together? Steve Lukather, the guitarist, is one of the best guitarists around…top session dude in LA…..solo career, songwriter, has played on hundreds of albums , including Michael Jackson’s Thriller…..and currently plays with Ringo Starr’s All-Star touring band. He’s also a pretty fine rock singer…,and kind of a crazy dude…..at least in his younger days.
