Available for The Force?
Chill, straight forward Descriptions and examples with no hype. Awesome.
As always, appreciate the updates from the perspective of a DIGGER. Keep on!!
Thank you for making this video. I am looking forward to downloading this update now.
Thanks for the upload.
Akai brings the oldschool back with this update...rip trap
Aw man I can’t wait for this. About to dust my mpc off lol
Your tutorial’s are the best!
Thanks M! I'm looking forward to trying out the new plugins. The amp sim looks very much like the Ableton one but this one has a better looking GUI. And your the first one out of the gate demo-ing the new update.
and the pad colors???
Wasn't there a cassette tape plug In too ?
Is part of the flavour plugin.
@@mpchead ah I see
Nice! Do the ratchet and probability work with CV/Gate too?
Love your content fam 🔥
hey muy bueno saludos desde tijuana
hey Marlow.... any change on track mute page? i mean are audio track now on track mute page? please tell me yes
I would REALLY love the set list feature on the Force.
will the amp sim be actually useful for guitar and bass too? and not just as a filter type of thing for lofi-ying things? I'm ordering an mpc one soon and i want to be able to record some guitar and bass lines too, with my instruments.
EDIT: whats the point of probability in 16 levels? I didn't quite get that.
For making things not sound so repetitive for instance, like if you have a hi hat playing 16 notes and want it to not play every hit, or whatever, just another creative tool. Use it on whatever.
@@nicolasstrawberry4148 ahhhh right, thats cool
What happened to the recent projects tab thingy. Loading up the project I was just working on has become so cumbersome.
Any luck saving 3rd party VST’s to favorites? Or is that even possible? Also, unable to browse 3rd party presets after saving without going thru four or five menus.
Wheres the change color pad? I cant find it.
Quick question: Can you use internal tracks as a source for the tuner? So you can use the tuner with your samples?
I certainly hope so and, knowing the little I do about how the MPC works, I think it has to be able to work that way
I wondered the same thing. Unfortunately I doubt it will work that way - though I'm hoping for a workaround through changing the recording input or simply running the output lines into an interface then back into the line input of the mpc
Interesting! I'm really curious about the update
dang yo. are you an X men? them paws make that M2 look like a M8.
Thank you!! Does the MPC still crash if you turn it on with a USB hub plugged in? That's an annoying bug.
Thanks for the lesson👍. I cant find PAD COLOR in the menu, help please!!!
Try the pencil on the side of program
@@mpchead thank you so much👍
Wassup my man, longtime subscriber first time commenter. Quick and simple question
Does 2.11 let you sequence muted tracks?
There's a little video on my channel if you don't get what I mean, seems like a lot of MPC users are confused. But this is super important to my workflow
Give me the link, I don't know what you mean.
@@mpchead here's the link:

Hope this inspires a new workflow for you as well :)
Will this work for an akai mpc mini? Thats what i have the red and black joint. Keep up the great contents coming!
no? akai mpc mini is just a midi controller
what's up with the new 2.11.4 update
I really wish they would add the ability to save different presets per sequence.
Damn. I was hoping for a Legato mode for one note samples and a feat to change the order of the FX rack and a strumming mode for chord progressions. 😢😢 Thank you for sharing the new update.
So I can't use the tuner for samples without running it through like a instrument ... Not what I was expected and very much disappointed.. was hoping when I was chopping up samples I could tune (properly) then make a keygroup ..... Or maybe I'm misunderstanding still..
Do You Have Your Pad Color On The New 2.11 Update, How To Get To It.
pencil tool on the side of the program in the main screen
Thanks, A HOT Sample For You, Bridge - Next To Me
Let's say you like all your instruments and drum sounds. How do you erase all previous sequences and tracks and start over without erasing your sounds?
Delete every sequence one by one
@@mpchead oh dam. But thanks for the info.
I found a better way..... In the sequence menu select delete bars. It erases all bars for all tracks.
So it's pretty much like a delete all tracks.
But without erasing the program, key group, plug in Make some volume and effects information.
12:06. Soooooo, if you convert a pad to a keygroup, what exactly happens? Does it take that program and make it a keygroup now, or does it create an new track and program with that pad as a keygroup?
It just creates a new program.
Any way to do a pad to keygroup if you are just using the software. I can't find the keygroup button. Thanks
Just found it under Tools
Wondering if they improved the vintage modes?
Don't think so
Hello, i am little bit out of place i know, but please where is the good video tutorial about song mode in mpc LIVE II ? When i am in song mode i don't know what to press so another of my sequences is added to the song mode/playlist ...Woul like to discuss this with somebody so much,
Press insert
@@mpchead Yeah, man thanks, finally i did it, but then you have to roll with this big button on the right, but i was strugglin' with recordin' the electric guitar to the track also, sometime it did recorded, but only like two or one time, but most of the time not, but i have to check the cable of course, now
i would like to know how to most easily record all that you do, at one moment, like record everything live, all samples into one track, the most ease way to record how it sounds when you just playing, but straight into the mpc, not into computer like one direct signal.
Thanks a lot, much respect...!!!
Can you automate the vinyl sim on the Flavor effect?
I didn't try it but I think it works
The implementation of pad to key group program is a bit disappointing to be honest, but I'm glad I saw it here first so that when I got the update I didn't have more of the disappointment
How is that disappointing? Now you have 16 levels + full key map. Where's the downside?
@@DisInfoWars downside is it's just a shortcut. I was hoping that inside of a drum program we would be given access to key group functionalities but restricted to just the sound on that pad. For example we could have drum sounds on pads 1-8, but have a melodic 1 shot on pad 9. Pressing the pad to key group button would allow us to play pad 9 as a new instrument. I recognize this would be a complicated and difficult thing to achieve. As soon as you bring into question how the midi data would be programmed in such a system, the complexity increases exponentially.
Fair enough, I say to the developers. But they also dropped the ball by not automatically creating a new track when hitting the pad to key group shortcut. Marlo himself had to make sure to point this out in the video - cautioning us to not use the shortcut if we're on a track that currently has programmed midi data.
@@hostcharlestaylor Yeah I hear what you're saying, it would be ideal to be able to use the keygroup within the drum program itself like 16 levels but I like how quick it is to create keygroups on the fly, speeds up the workflow and creativity for me. I'm sure a new track is automatically created on a empty channel once you make a keygroup, but you have to select it after I think
@@DisInfoWars I don't think it will create a new track unfortunately. I think it only serves to create a new key group program
@@DisInfoWars actually, I think I'm wrong and you're right. I just watched the overview from Akai Pro UA-cam page. Looks like it does create a new track automatically. This is a good compromise
does anyone here know if the mpc ren will work for 2.11 on m1 mac ?
Akai just uploaded new video.
Ouuuu you have the software already I see,😜
23 june okkkkkk
mmm..🤔 I'm really not okay with this akai screen..
You said something in your 2.10 update video, paraphrasing, you don't even use 50% of what's inside the MPC. It's a great sampler, no doubt. I am personally still struggling with what feels like a clunky workflow and did I make a mistake spending $$$ on a box to just sample. I put the Live One on Reverb and got no hits after just losing my mind trying to learn it. I then watched your videos and walked me off the ledge. I will keep trying but nothing I see makes the workflow easier. Still see lots of menu diving and screen interaction. I just want to play. Sorry for venting. Appreciate what you do.
Have you tried a digitakt? Workflow wise it might be more up your alley. Also heard maschine has good workflow too.
@@J-Hz the maschine is chilling on the desk under a dust cover giving me the side eye lol. I’ve been suggested by others to fire it up too.
You have to watch different UA-camrs to get a better idea of how to use it, and literally spend hours and hours not even making beats but just trying every single button, exploring every menu, turning every knob, getting super familiar with the machine and what each thing does. Only then, you can start making shitty beats. And then they’ll get better and better lol. If you don’t have the patience and time to put into the basics then you’ll never learn it.
Also I recommend Marrcello , his videos made me really understand how to use the MPC.
@@user-mb8rf7qk5q thanks and for the advice.
Akai is so dumb with these 16 level update WHERE IS TUNE!???????
Meh. More screens to complicate the workflow even more. I think Akai have really lost their way- for me this generation of MPCs aren't even really MPCs. The fact that you can 'emulate' legacy hardware really demonstrates that. It's like they cannot decide what direction to go so are trying to do everything at once. They should focus on being more a company like Roland and make dedicated hardware instead of trying to catch up to NI.
Anyone else debating not getting the update because previewing programs and samples is huge for their workflow?
Now that you mention it...im a bit worried
You can still use the browser, nothing changed in the browser.
@@mpchead Thanks for the clarification 🙏 exciting news
