I suppose they have their place in some places but I’m a traditionalist and handcrafted glass ornaments decorate all my trees, you can’t beat them . The fact they’re handcrafted makes them very slightly all unique and made with love.

I prefer glass too. The break easy but they are so shiny.

Next stop: WALMART. So this is why they have such oddball colors for Christmas ornaments: lime green?

Can you silk screen or apply decals to the ornaments via a machine?

Be bold and try it! Plastic is cheap enough if you spoiled one or two and you can always cover them in fabric if they went really wrong! If you have a die cutting machine like a Cricut which cuts vinyl that should work. I’m not sure how you would screen print directly onto a bauble but you could screen print onto fabric or vinyl then stick that to the baubles. The other thing you can do is decoupage using napkins take the backing of the napkins then using a very slightly damp paintbrush dampen round the image you want to use on the napkin then very gently pull it apart you get a nice feathered edge. “Paint “ with modge podge ( basically watered down glue 2 parts water one part PVA glue) stick your image on, leave to dry then “ paint” over with couple of layers of the modge podge glue again, this acts like a varnish and dries clear. There are lots of fabulous tutorials on UA-cam of people who do this and they create the most fabulous decorations not just for Christmas but all sorts of occasions.
I’d love to know if you tried it and what results you had . Merry Christmas.

Leap Tab the first song is a jazz version of “Winter Wonderland.” I’m not sure about the second one.
