Friendly reminder that I'd love to see if you guys could experiment with trying to make patterns. For example; techniques similar to making polymer clay canes and/or segmented wood canes such as those used for woodturning pens. I'm a jeweller and I've been experimenting with making HDPE jewellery but I've been struggling to make patterns, especially perfectly straight stripes. Stripes always end up warping on me. It'd be super cool to see if you could make Stripes, checkerboard, polka dots and more etc. It'd also be really cool if you can make aluminium molds for injection but also for pressing (for those who can't afford the extra equipment). Thanks, Keep it up!
I visited your website and I'm so very glad you mentioned companies and individuals who are merely "greenwashing" to create more profit/sales/support/social credibility. There is an awful lot of this going on, more than most people realise. The best and, in my opinion, only way that is *currently* effective in reducing our individual environmental degradation and destruction of our finite resources is reducing our personal consumption habits and abstaining from the modern, culturally-ingrained, throwaway mentality. You guys are doing it, and encouraging it in others, and that is why you got my subscription today.
You both have inspired me to recycle as you both do and I have come up with some new jewelry designs of my own. Thank you. Every video gets my brain ticking over for different ideas on how I can recycle and re-use.
Worth the wait lads. I ain’t kidding fellas but I’m truly inspired.... since the first of your videos I saw with you turning pens made out of HDPE I’ve been hooked. My wife noticed me savings all these sorts of plastic and I can’t wait to create something unique for her. Thanks for sharing this with us too
Какая прелесть.А я вчера смотрела на крышки от бутылок , которые собирала и думала , что я дурочка - собрала кучу и никогда их не переделаю . Спасибо вам . У меня много крышек . Я мечтала кое - что сделать
3:41 the item on the right would make a cool plastic drinking cup. I’d totally use that as a cup to drink from plus the colours are right up my alley too 😊😊😊
This is better than watching how things are made.i hereby dub you both plastic embassadors.helps us all be less wasteful.i would love to come help you for a day.looks like so much fun.u need a big factory.
What I'd love to see is some videos where you try different techniques to get different patterns/textures in the plastic. Long strips vs fine granules vs mix. Marbled vs confetti style vs mono color. Different color schemes. etc. I really enjoyed the explainer you guys posted recently, would love to see more instructional content!
Oh my word I absolutely love them!! X I had no idea this was possible x I've been saving lids for a couple of months now but I'm sure that equipment cost a pretty packet!! X many thanks xx
great idea, honestly I would like to know what is the average energy expenditure to chop the plastic and to melt and shape? and how much co2 is created in the process, in no way am I being sarcastic, it really is something that I'm interested in. because I think the project can be applied to make tiles, replacing those made of zinc or clay tiles. how long to cool the container? great video congratulations
Thanks. Our workshop and house are powered by energy generated 100% from renewables, so zero CO2 produced. And there is no cooling time. Aluminium is a heat sink and the pot is cool as soon as the mould is opened 🤙🏽
Now i'm inspired to create these esp here in philippines. Please make a new vid on how to diy your equiptments so I can help people here in manila. Thank you!
We have lots of DIY methods in some of our other videos. The new equipment we have opens up more possibilities and is the reason we can make more complex items. We hope the videos help you get started!
@@BrothersMake this must be the solution for our increasing plastic wastes. May I ask how to proceed and ask fore infos pls. Thank you thank you in advance.
It is - we have partners in 55 countries on 6 continents who use our equipment to generate income for their team. You just have to find products that sell in the local market :)
It's really beautiful with such a great imagination.👍 I really need to up my game so that I will be able to do these things. I have metal from leftovers of laminate-floors and thought "if only I could recycle it at home", it would be cool to do so. Sadly enough don't have enough space with more machinery as it is an apartment, so I have to throw it out to the recycle-center instead.😢
Yeah absolutely, we brand all of our products with the HDPE mark so that it can be recycled again. There is a limit if you keep recycling the same 100g of plastic over and over as it will start to lose some of its working properties. Lots of companies will cut it with virgin plastic claiming it’s still recycled but we've found if we cut it with some of our shreddings then it works really well. 👍🏼
love this product. Great idea. Just wondering ...how you ensure that the small plastic chips created from shredding the bottle tops do not end up in water ways. They are so small, there is a potential for some to end up on the floor or down drains and ultimately in the waterways.
Beautiful 👍 I'm interested in doing a similar thing as this. Searching for a proper workshop now. Absolutely no reason polyethylene should ever end up in a dump or the ocean.
Very much fun to watch! Plastic bottle tops are not the greatest plastic polluters, though, as they are often recycled when collected at centres. It's the one-use plastic bags and soft packaging (like, candy-bars, chips bags, but also styrofoam) that are the great unrecyclables. I'd LOVE some ideas as to how to handle those!
Thanks fella. Haha that's understandable, we thought we'd throw in a little peak of them at the end for ya, but we'll be back in full force for the next video!
These look amazing! Did you guys design the mould? I’m hoping to have access to a shredder and extruder from Summer so would love to explore similar projects. ✌️ Edit: Whoops just read the description, will look at what Plasticpreneur have!
Thanks Ross - that's awesome, yeah be sure to check them out, they're super helpful should you have any questions too! If you get them be sure to send us some pics of what you make 🤙🏼
Your videos are great, I’m big on upcycle plastic and make flowers from plastic bottles, but I normal have plastic lids and bits left over and hate binning it, as I know it’s bad from the environment and now I have a way of upcycle all of it. Thank you

Is it possible to color hdpe when it is in the gelatin state?
The use of a washing machine for cleaning! Great stuff.
I've thought about this too...
I've considered using a cheese or nutmeg grater to make a fine dust to add to white hdpe.
I'll be testing this soon.
I need this equipment, I need to do it here in Brazil ♻️
