I just love that there is a factory for everything and some people have to go "So you see, i work at the gingerbread factory,"

@@PixelZan Even though I grew up with the American broadcast (With Brooks Moore as narrator), I have to agree. Tony Hirst (The narrator for the UK broadcast, where this clip came from) is the best narrator.

@Sage Langford how hard was it? I live in the tropics and haven't seen one personally, I expect them to be hard biscuits with hard candy, painful to chew and eat, and in this case, painful to bang with the head hahaha

@@bloubear2557 Gingerbread is surprisingly soft. It's strong, but it's a little closer to a cookie than it is a biscuit. The candy on a gingerbread house is generally soft for three or four days and then it gets hard, unless you store it in something like Tupperware.

I've eaten them because I have a wonderfully gifted wife who makes her own. They are usually a work of art, and I hate to see them destroyed. What we generally do is take one to a family Christmas as a centerpiece on the table. After the main meal and celebrations have ended, we break it up and send it away with different branches of the family. That way, everyone gets a fresh section, and it all gets eaten before it has the chance to go stale.

They should make a version of gingerbread houses that have jagged edges, like those giant foam puzzle pieces used in daycares, so it would be less of a pain to connect the walls and roof together.
