    I could do with 20 rolls of Gimbap now and 3 bowls of Bibimbap (Korean Nasi Ulam) right now...always love the presentation and the goodness of rolled sticky rice with weeds and assortment of vegetables...and the additional sprinkled sesame seeds on it...simple to eat, fullsome and lots of flavours plus the wasabi sauce...arghhhh I want hot seat and hot Korean foods...😢

    • @ChasingaPlate
      @ChasingaPlate  6 років тому

      I have become addicted to gimbap tomie myspace! I reckon the sesame oil makes them so moreish! The bibimbap is totally like a Korean Nasi Ulam 😍😝 Hope you enjoyed this one mate. Cheers, Sheena

      Chasing a Plate - Food and Travel Channel
      I enjoyed the video very much! The only thing that freaked me out were the baby octopus tentacles squirming around in the plate of raw beef, otherwise all the food looks absolutely delicious! 🙃🙃🙃

    Ohhh that Yukhoe...the red beef colour is so tempting...the octopussy is scary but tempting too...all the colours mixed on the plate of tartare are so bright, so vibrant, so moving and flowing...so how many Star 🌟 of Michelin? Grooowwwllliiinnnggg tummy right now...

    • @ChasingaPlate
      @ChasingaPlate  6 років тому

      Totally vibrant tomie myspace. It was such a beautiful dish! The octopus was delicious- really added to the dish. The Michelin recommendation was a Bib Gourmand one only so no actual star. But I do love the new category for more wallet friendly and local eateries! Cheers, Sheena

  • @brilliantbutblue
    @brilliantbutblue 4 роки тому +1

    No freaking way!!! The last time l saw beef with wiggly things in it was when it had been left out in the sun!. You couldn't pay me to eat that, l just couldn't do it. That takes "rare" to a whole new level adding the octopus. Bibimbap: the only Korean dish l can make but that one was fancy!

    • @ChasingaPlate
      @ChasingaPlate  4 роки тому +1

      How good is bibimbap to make! Such a great dish to have at home. Sheena makes a really good one. Bet yours is great too. That beef and octopus was great. Such a neat little restaurant also. Really enjoyed that meal. A very interesting combo. Loved how they were cutting it up in the corner. Thanks so much for watching! Cheers, Thomas 😀

    Always nice to see a food culture that has lots of vegetables around them.
    Raw beef and moving baby octopus would not be on my plate anytime soon. :)
    All the best. I wish you would deep dive Korean food as much as you have in Malaysia.

    • @ChasingaPlate
      @ChasingaPlate  6 років тому

      There's loads of fresh vegetables used in the dishes here jumbeaux1- especially the bibimbap- they're always packed out! We have been here 3 weeks and have tried to eat as much as we possibly can in that time 😝 We'll definitely have to get back here sometime soon though as there is so much we haven't had a chance to film! Hope you enjoyed this one mate, thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Sheena

    In Malaysia particularly in the Klang Valley we have a total of nearly 13 thousand Koreans some making Malaysia their second home. There's a Korean kampong/community in Ampang not sure if they have Korean street food but there's a Korean supermarket in Ampang n Mont Klara... you can get all things Korean. happy weekend mate!

    I'm with Thomas. Whenever I have dolsot (hot stone) bibimbap, some of the rice on the bottom is crispy even if you start mixing immediately.

      You need to let the rice sit longer for it to crisp up. Plus your ment to leave a thin layer on the bottom to crisp up while you eat.

    • @ChasingaPlate
      @ChasingaPlate  6 років тому

      Hi annnguyenvu! Thank for watching! We left it for quite a long time before eating and it didn't crisp up at all. I was really expecting it too but nothing this time around. Thanks for the tips! Cheers, Thomas 😀

      Hi Kenneth Ho, we just learnt very basic Korean such as numbers, hello, thank you, etc. It hasn't really been a problem at all travelling here and a lot of the signs etc are in English. Lots of smiling and gesturing done as well! Hope you enjoyed this video mate and like our other Korean content we have coming up! Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena

      Hi Balochistani Tech Support, we thought the bindae-tteok was quite expensive too! All the stalls were a set price and the market is really popular and busy so perhaps the price is what it is because of that. Thanks for watching this one and hope you enjoyed it! Cheers, Sheena

      Hi syahirah skry, no they're not. We filmed a halal specific video here: ua-cam.com/video/2PKiecxGU7E/v-deo.html and we understand that there are a few restaurants in Seoul now that serve a range of Korean classics so they might be worth looking into if you visit! Thanks for watching! Cheers, Sheena

      That's just my New Zealand accent although I don't really get how it's obnoxious. Perhaps you should turn on the subtitles if you find me hard to understand. Cheers, Sheena

      You reckon Blanc Despair? A lot of the food here can be quite oily too like the hotteok, bindaetteok and fried chicken 😝 Gotta say though, I have a bit of a soft spot for oily food 😂 Hope you enjoyed this one, thanks for watching and commenting mate. Cheers, Sheena

    • @ChasingaPlate

      Hi Rudy Grissom, thanks for watching this video. We spend hours researching where to find the best food before we make any of our videos. We don't want to spend precious time and money eating bad food nor do we reckon people really want to watch average food being eaten. It's a shame you don't like steak tartare, we loved the way they served it in Korea and we also love eating it when we're in France. There are definitely foods that we don't like sometimes but we don't bother making videos about that food- it's a bit of a waste of time but if something isn't good then we'll always call it out in our videos. Hope you enjoy the content we have coming up on the channel. Cheers, Sheena
