We're so happy you're enjoying our more recent content 😄 We're actually in Seoul right now doing some more filming- far out the temperature change from when we filmed this video is drastic!! It's SO HOT! We're loving it though. Hope you like the content we have coming up mate. Thanks for your continued support! Cheers, Sheena
Just finished watching the Korea videos. You both did a brilliant job with taste descriptions, loved the videos....keep um coming...thanks again Sheena, Thomas...!
Woo hoo! So glad you enjoyed it Dale. It was awesome getting to film in both the summer and the winter recently. Such extremes!! Thanks for watching and commenting 😄 Cheers, Sheena
Oh wow! I've never heard of yukhoe before but I am now on a mission! That looked so incredible. Raw Beef Alley here I come! Thanks for the great video.
Hi John Mendez! Yukhoe is well worth hunting down! We loved that dish and highly recommend it. Are you living/visiting Seoul at the moment? Such a great city. Thanks so much for watching this one! Cheers, Thomas 😀
Hi Thomas! I do not live in Seoul but I've visited before. I love Korea and the food there is amazing. I'll visit again soon and surely check this dish out. Thanks again!
I could do with 20 rolls of Gimbap now and 3 bowls of Bibimbap (Korean Nasi Ulam) right now...always love the presentation and the goodness of rolled sticky rice with weeds and assortment of vegetables...and the additional sprinkled sesame seeds on it...simple to eat, fullsome and lots of flavours plus the wasabi sauce...arghhhh I want hot seat and hot Korean foods...😢
I have become addicted to gimbap tomie myspace! I reckon the sesame oil makes them so moreish! The bibimbap is totally like a Korean Nasi Ulam 😍😝 Hope you enjoyed this one mate. Cheers, Sheena
There was so much more we could have eaten Su-Ling Chia but we didn't have enough tummy space! it was a great spot to sample local food. Thanks for watching this video and hope you enjoyed it mate! Cheers, Sheena
Chasing a Plate - Food and Travel Channel I enjoyed the video very much! The only thing that freaked me out were the baby octopus tentacles squirming around in the plate of raw beef, otherwise all the food looks absolutely delicious! 🙃🙃🙃
That's such a kind thing to say Himawan Widyandaru, thanks so much! Fingers crossed our channel continues to grow! Thanks so much for watching and hope you enjoyed this one mate! Cheers, Sheena
Ohhh that Yukhoe...the red beef colour is so tempting...the octopussy is scary but tempting too...all the colours mixed on the plate of tartare are so bright, so vibrant, so moving and flowing...so how many Star 🌟 of Michelin? Grooowwwllliiinnnggg tummy right now...
Totally vibrant tomie myspace. It was such a beautiful dish! The octopus was delicious- really added to the dish. The Michelin recommendation was a Bib Gourmand one only so no actual star. But I do love the new category for more wallet friendly and local eateries! Cheers, Sheena
No freaking way!!! The last time l saw beef with wiggly things in it was when it had been left out in the sun!. You couldn't pay me to eat that, l just couldn't do it. That takes "rare" to a whole new level adding the octopus. Bibimbap: the only Korean dish l can make but that one was fancy!
How good is bibimbap to make! Such a great dish to have at home. Sheena makes a really good one. Bet yours is great too. That beef and octopus was great. Such a neat little restaurant also. Really enjoyed that meal. A very interesting combo. Loved how they were cutting it up in the corner. Thanks so much for watching! Cheers, Thomas 😀
Always nice to see a food culture that has lots of vegetables around them. Raw beef and moving baby octopus would not be on my plate anytime soon. :) All the best. I wish you would deep dive Korean food as much as you have in Malaysia.
There's loads of fresh vegetables used in the dishes here jumbeaux1- especially the bibimbap- they're always packed out! We have been here 3 weeks and have tried to eat as much as we possibly can in that time 😝 We'll definitely have to get back here sometime soon though as there is so much we haven't had a chance to film! Hope you enjoyed this one mate, thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Sheena
A huge pan of oil right mohd shahrizzal?! The pancake was delicious- very crispy. This was such a great market to eat at. Hope you enjoyed this one, thanks for watching and commenting mate. Cheers, Sheena
😂 so glad you enjoyed this one True Believer (minus the baby octopus)- everything we ate was so tasty!! Thanks for watching and commenting mate. Cheers, Sheena
Hi Brenda Benoît Dudley, oh it was SO GOOD! Such fresh, vibrant flavours. We loved it so much! Hope you enjoyed this one- we love Gwangjang Market for exploring and eating. Thanks for watching and commenting on this one. Cheers, Sheena

Chasing a Plate - Food and Travel Channel I was there last summer. Visiting my cousin and uncle. They are here now so I am on my way to Colorado to see them before they go back to Korea!
Raw beef and egg yolk not adventurous enough for you? Come to korea where we serve it with squirming octopus tentacles. This is why i love watching this channel, you guys always deliver authenticity in a plate.
😂😂😂😂 thanks so much for this awesome comment mate. And we’re so glad you’re liking the content! Korea was awesome for food hunting! Hope you enjoy the other videos we have coming up from Busan then it’s back to the tropics with a couple of Singapore videos and then Malaysia 😄 Thanks for your support! Cheers, Sheena
Whoop whoop, thanks for watching Miszy Khan! 😄 We're actually in Korea only for another couple of days! We've been here for 3 weeks already so will be heading back to Singapore and Malaysia soon. Hope you enjoy the Korea food videos we have lined up mate. Cheers, Sheena
In Malaysia particularly in the Klang Valley we have a total of nearly 13 thousand Koreans some making Malaysia their second home. There's a Korean kampong/community in Ampang not sure if they have Korean street food but there's a Korean supermarket in Ampang n Mont Klara... you can get all things Korean. happy weekend mate!
Fantastic information Ftin Ftin, thanks so much! We had noticed when we were last in KL that there was a lot of Korean influence in the supermarkets and restaurant wise. Makes for an even more diverse cultural landscape. Have a wonderful weekend mate! Hope you enjoyed this video, thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena
😂 I wish we could zip all over the place with ease like him Nice Guy! Thanks for watching this one- hope you enjoyed it. This market is so awesome for food! Thanks for commenting on this one. Cheers, Sheena

😂😂😂😂😂 it really didn't have much flavour Nirooshini Madaven- but it was spectacular on the plate 😂 Thanks for watching this one mate, hope you enjoyed it! Cheers, Sheena
I'm with Thomas. Whenever I have dolsot (hot stone) bibimbap, some of the rice on the bottom is crispy even if you start mixing immediately. That *_yukhoe!_* 😳👍 Love steak tartare but have never had yukhoe. Nori looks interesting but I think I would prefer a baguette. 😀
You'd be right into the yukhoe Tosh! Hahahaha I wouldn't have minded a baguette either. Hope you enjoyed this South Korea video mate, thanks for watching and commenting. cheers, Sheena
Hi annnguyenvu! Thank for watching! We left it for quite a long time before eating and it didn't crisp up at all. I was really expecting it too but nothing this time around. Thanks for the tips! Cheers, Thomas 😀
They're so tasty right Shamsury Mohd Salleh? I've become so addicted to them over the past few weeks! Brushing sesame oil over the top of them gives them such a great flavour! Hope you enjoyed this one, thanks for watching and commenting mate. Cheers, Sheena
Hi Vanessa, the market generally opens from 8:30am to 6pm but some restaurants open for longer and some are closed on Sunday. Hope you enjoyed this video, thanks for watching. Cheers, Sheena
Hi Extreme Passion, you guys must be so excited about your trip! We're back in KL around the same time! How long will you be in KL for? Thanks for watching this one- hope you liked it! Cheers, Sheena
Ahhh for CNY? We're hoping to have our subscriber meet up the week before CNY in KL! Hope you can make it. We'll announce it in a livechat on the channel soon plus also on IG and FB. 😄

Hi Fian Fazlie! No 😆 We just learnt a few words so we could order food etc I'm sure my pronunciation is TERRIBLE!! Hope you enjoyed this one mate, thanks so much for watching! Cheers, Sheena 😄
Hi sugunamaivily subramaniam, this was a couple of weeks ago and yes it was SO COLD! On one of the days in Seoul it was -14 degrees celsius. We're happy to be back in the tropics now hahahah. Thanks for watching this one and hope you enjoyed it. Cheers, Sheena
Would you need to be able to speak korean? If I can't speak korean but am interested in going around the markets would you suggest I bring a translator?
Hi Tifa, neither of us speak Korean and we haven't had any trouble when going around the markets. We usually just point and we've learnt very basic Korean- numbers, the names of food and how to say hello and thank you etc. I don't think you'll need a translator at all 😄 Hope you enjoyed this one, thanks for watching and commenting mate. Cheers, Sheena
We'd love to do a NZ food video series Sandeep Wadhawan! That would be a dream come true! Hope we can make it happen soon! Thanks for watching this video and hope you enjoyed it! Cheers, Sheena
😄 we're in Korea for another day Kambing Golek and then head to Singapore and then back to Malaysia! Hope you enjoyed this video mate, thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Sheena
all korean food look extremly delicious to me..but i am a muslim so i cant eat most of them.. .. guys please continue to review with this style..variety of food in one video.. this is only my suggestion..because i don't really like if you only review one food for one video.. =)
Great feedback nurul fadilah azwanie afendi! Pretty much all of our South Korea videos will be like this mate- more food tour-like. Plus we have a halal Korean food video coming out soon as well! Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena
That's what we thought K.K DOWNING! We found street food to be quite expensive in Seoul in fact although we had to visit Gwangjang market and sample all the food as it's so iconic. Hope you enjoyed this video mate- we have new Seoul videos coming up soon! Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena
Hi Kenneth Ho, we just learnt very basic Korean such as numbers, hello, thank you, etc. It hasn't really been a problem at all travelling here and a lot of the signs etc are in English. Lots of smiling and gesturing done as well! Hope you enjoyed this video mate and like our other Korean content we have coming up! Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena
Hi Azean Malik! Sadly not. We're both trying to pick up as many words as we can though. We're heading back to Malaysia in one weeks times. Hope you enjoy all the Korean content we have coming up before that! Cheers, Thomas 😀
Fair enough 😆😝😆😝😆 This was such a great market to eat at- so much variety and the food is super tasty! Thanks for watching and commenting on this one! Cheers, Sheena 😄
Hi Balochistani Tech Support, we thought the bindae-tteok was quite expensive too! All the stalls were a set price and the market is really popular and busy so perhaps the price is what it is because of that. Thanks for watching this one and hope you enjoyed it! Cheers, Sheena
Hi syahirah skry, no they're not. We filmed a halal specific video here: ua-cam.com/video/2PKiecxGU7E/v-deo.html and we understand that there are a few restaurants in Seoul now that serve a range of Korean classics so they might be worth looking into if you visit! Thanks for watching! Cheers, Sheena
Hi cecapit shemalat! It's definitely a personal taste kind of thing. We both love raw beef and this dish was really tasty! So great seeing that sub number heading up. Next stop 100k 😀😀😀 Thanks for watching! Cheers, Thomas 😀
That's just my New Zealand accent although I don't really get how it's obnoxious. Perhaps you should turn on the subtitles if you find me hard to understand. Cheers, Sheena
😂 I had to look up who the Kilingons are b Low! Hope you enjoyed this video- South Korea food hunting was awesome. Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena
Hi Viva Kaboth. While it's still moving it's not actually alive. It's just the nerve endings are still moving a bit. This was a brilliant street food day and we hope you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching! Cheers, Thomas
You reckon Blanc Despair? A lot of the food here can be quite oily too like the hotteok, bindaetteok and fried chicken 😝 Gotta say though, I have a bit of a soft spot for oily food 😂 Hope you enjoyed this one, thanks for watching and commenting mate. Cheers, Sheena
Everything eaten cannot be...solo delicious...comes off a bit disingenuous...would never consider raw beef as tasty....just once maybe...you guys have eaten something that did not suit you
Hi Rudy Grissom, thanks for watching this video. We spend hours researching where to find the best food before we make any of our videos. We don't want to spend precious time and money eating bad food nor do we reckon people really want to watch average food being eaten. It's a shame you don't like steak tartare, we loved the way they served it in Korea and we also love eating it when we're in France. There are definitely foods that we don't like sometimes but we don't bother making videos about that food- it's a bit of a waste of time but if something isn't good then we'll always call it out in our videos. Hope you enjoy the content we have coming up on the channel. Cheers, Sheena

😄😝😄😄😝 this was such an awesome market to explore for food kita 1003! Thanks for watching this video and hope you enjoyed it! Cheers, Sheena
Chasing a Plate - Food and Travel Channel Hi Sheena, thats great! Can't wait to get a chance to make a trip there.
I'm sure you'll love it!! 😄

all korean food look extremly delicious to me..but i am a muslim so i cant eat most of them.. .. guys please continue to review with this style..variety of food in one video.. this is only my suggestion..because i don't really like if you only review one food for one video.. =)
Great feedback nurul fadilah azwanie afendi! Pretty much all of our South Korea videos will be like this mate- more food tour-like. Plus we have a halal Korean food video coming out soon as well! Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena
mung beans pancake almost 5 bucks, ain`t cheap.
Cheers, Sheena
cheers
I wish I dont have to convert the price in RM(Ringgit Malaysia)
😝😝😝😝😝 Hope you enjoyed this one RUN AYIE, thanks for watching and commenting mate. Cheers, Sheena
how about communication there? you guys took up some Korean just to get around ?
Hi Kenneth Ho, we just learnt very basic Korean such as numbers, hello, thank you, etc. It hasn't really been a problem at all travelling here and a lot of the signs etc are in English. Lots of smiling and gesturing done as well! Hope you enjoyed this video mate and like our other Korean content we have coming up! Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena
Bibimbap nasi lemak.....
Pretty much Uzziz Har!! This was a delicious one! Hope you enjoyed this video mate and thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena

Hi Azean Malik! Sadly not. We're both trying to pick up as many words as we can though. We're heading back to Malaysia in one weeks times. Hope you enjoy all the Korean content we have coming up before that! Cheers, Thomas 😀
Sorry the octopus gross me out. But all else looks Delicious
Fair enough 😆😝😆😝😆 This was such a great market to eat at- so much variety and the food is super tasty! Thanks for watching and commenting on this one! Cheers, Sheena 😄
beanSproutS ' they is 2 a PENNY ' 4.70 USD 4 them fritter ' u 2 hv been robbed !!!
Hi Balochistani Tech Support, we thought the bindae-tteok was quite expensive too! All the stalls were a set price and the market is really popular and busy so perhaps the price is what it is because of that. Thanks for watching this one and hope you enjoyed it! Cheers, Sheena
are they all halal?
Hi syahirah skry, no they're not. We filmed a halal specific video here: ua-cam.com/video/2PKiecxGU7E/v-deo.html and we understand that there are a few restaurants in Seoul now that serve a range of Korean classics so they might be worth looking into if you visit! Thanks for watching! Cheers, Sheena
i dont like raw food..... because i have try once....wow 21k subcr...
Hi cecapit shemalat! It's definitely a personal taste kind of thing. We both love raw beef and this dish was really tasty! So great seeing that sub number heading up. Next stop 100k 😀😀😀 Thanks for watching! Cheers, Thomas 😀
Sorry the lady host of the blog has obnoxious accent,it so hard to get all of what she saying, good content but the accent too bad.
That's just my New Zealand accent although I don't really get how it's obnoxious. Perhaps you should turn on the subtitles if you find me hard to understand. Cheers, Sheena
Thanks hero!! 😆😄 Cheers, Sheena

You eat baby octopus still alive
Hi Viva Kaboth. While it's still moving it's not actually alive. It's just the nerve endings are still moving a bit. This was a brilliant street food day and we hope you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching! Cheers, Thomas
Sucks to live in Malaysia where all the food are so oily.
Malaysia has all the international food just pick the non oily ones love...
AGREED Krish KK! Such variety- it's extraordinary! Thanks for watching and commenting on this one mate.
I get your premise now..I presumed something else..I enjoy the videos
Thanks for supporting our channel Rudy Grissom. Enjoy the rest of your week! Cheers, Sheena 😄
