Why is the stone in someone's front yard with no protective fencing or anything? You'd think it would be a treasure and that some space around it would be protected.
Well you see there are thousands of these stones plus burial mounds and such spread out all around Scandinavia so fencing would make for a big project and second there is so few people living here so a little fence wouldn't do so much if somebody wanted to cause harm.
